So, since Live streaming is a thing right now, i wanted to poke with this idea around...

It would pretty much be a Late nigh live stream of old, bad, weird or really really bad old weird movies (or TV shows... let's be open minded) where the NPF Folk could join in and riff and comment upon freely. Or otherwise just enjoy some movies online and bad commentary...

i would do it myself, but i suspect my internet is not good enough to pull it out... i would still try if people want it though. Also, i'm GMT-3 which matters for stuff like this. Also, a "Rotating Host" would probably be the best format anyway...

I'm not 100% sure of it, but i'm pretty sure you can't stream DVD's you own like this... or if doing it in this format would allow it to be legal (if nonprofit) since it's more of a review - commentary thing.

Regardless... there are PLENTY of Public domain movies to work with.

So anyway yeah, I thought about doing something like this a while ago. Mostly with old terrible movies no one would bother suing us for because they are old and terrible and no one cares about them. But then thought, nah, no one would care because to not make it awkward it would require the minimum effort of your co-riffers to acquire the movie, and I learned not to trust people with minimum effort tasks when it's supposed to lead to something fun, because they never do it, they just think they have to bring the beers and all is good. I fucking hate beer.

"The Mummy" (1959)

In the 1890s a team of British archaeologists discover the untouched tomb of Princess Ananka but accidentally bring the mummified body of her High Priest back to life. Three years later back in England a follower of the same Egyptian religion unleashes the mummy to exact grisly revenge on the despoilers of the sacred past.

So there's this family of English d-bag's, right? They're archaeologists, and they decide to rob an ancient tomb because they are enlightened brits.

They find a priestess's tomb, and one of them finds the scroll of the dead/life and he's like, "We should probably get everybody else here so we can read this thing." and the rest of them leave, and then he goes and reads it by himself because he's a d-bag.

Then he goes mad and screams, because he was obviously attacked by a mummy.

He goes home, and when he finally stops being a pansy, he tells his son that he was attacked by a mummy.

The son's all, "I don't believe you dad, I believe in science and reality, Mummies are silly!"

Then a mummy kills his dad. And the son's like, "Well, okay, Mummies can probably exist. But not anything else magical, that's beyond the realm of possibility."

Then, the police officer comes and takes stock of the story, and says "Okay, I'll look into this, just let due process and law occur and this egyptian mummy dressed guy will get arrested."

The d-bag son is like, "F---- that, I'm gonna go to his house, insult his ancient customs, assert British dominance, mock his religion because magic can't exist despite my explicit belief that there are in fact, mummies BECAUSE ENGLAAAND and PROGGRESSSS"

Then when the police officer is like, "F---, you dumb sh--, now you've just forced his hand, he has to try and kill you now."

And the bad guy's like "Yeah, what he said, I was actually gonna leave town once your pop was dead, but after that? My mummies gonna cap yo' @ss."

ANd then it turns out the mummy thinks the d-bag's hot wife looks like the lady he got cursed into mummyhood for, and relents in killing Banning because hey, reincarnated hot wife, right? Defeats smart, educated shining example of modern day Egyptian when he realizes that the mummy might start thinking with his mummyfied member, and attempts to prevent it by killing hot wife.

So mummy saves the day, saving hot wife, and making sure nobody has to die again, even grabbing secret scroll so no one else can summon up any mummies, so happy end, right?

But no, d-bag has no such kindness in him because he is a d-bag. So he makes his wife pretend to be reincarnated love, and then tricks mummy into death.

Everyone in chat is like, BAD ENDING! Why did the villain win?

The film Pyros describes and my reaction to it is almost exactly the same as Alligator, except Alligator ended with Ramon Jr. being flushed into the sewers to, ideally, seek revenge on Ramon's killers. Mummy had no one to avenge him.

Chopping Mall (1986)

Ace Attorney (2012)

This movie is based on the second and fourth cases in the popular video game Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The plot follows Phoenix Wright, a novice lawyer, who faces off against expert prosecutor Miles Edgeworth, who had a perfect win record. He defends Maya Fey, the sister of his deceased sister, Mia Fey. The court system of the time dictates that the trial can only convene for a total of three days before a verdict must be reached. In the second case, Miles is charged with murder, and it is up to Phoenix to defend him against the best prosecutor of all time, as well as Miles' mentor, Manfred Von Karma, who has not lost a case in forty years! In order to resolve this case, Phoenix must look beyond the drama of the court room and search for clues left by Mia on a 15 years old case, the DL-6.

A story so familiar and comforting, it’s like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket. By which we mean it’s so insane and twisted, it makes the Ice Cream Bunny look like Tiny Tim Cratchit.

Christmas with RiffTrax: Santa’s Village of Madness is three shorts from the mad mind of K. Gordon Murray, who brought you the MST3K episode Santa Claus. Featuring cheap mascot costumes, terrifying music, an utter lack of coherence and a Santa who appears to have been dead for most of the shoot, they are some of the most astounding things we have ever laid eyes on, and will quickly become a new yuletide tradition, provided your eggnog is adequately spiked.

"Man's Greatest Achievement." This was the entirety of the note we wrote down in the official RiffTrax screening room log book for Santa & the Ice Cream Bunny.

If "Man's Greatest Achievement" doesn't do it for you, then perhaps the actual tagline from the Santa & the Ice Cream Bunny movie poster will: "What a Story!"

You will have to ignore, of course, that Santa & the Ice Cream Bunny barely contains a story, let alone a coherent thought. But you'll be willing to let this pass, since it does contain pigs, gorilla suits, paper mache birds, soiled Santa costumes, child endangerment and, of course, an Ice Cream Bunny.

What is an Ice Cream Bunny? We're not quite sure, and the movie doesn't really bother to explain. Evidently he has a fire truck with an air raid siren, and lives at a place called Pirates World. We also know that we are strongly in favor of ceding all power to it and letting it enact whatever foul agenda it desires, just as long as it lets us take a ride through Pirates World in that sweet, sweet fire truck.

It's one of the strangest and most baffling pieces of outsider art that Mike, Kevin and Bill have ever riffed, and we were only 65% kidding about that "Man's Greatest Achievement" thing. Please join us in experiencing: Santa & the Ice Cream Bunny.

Ugh, yeah, that's always a pain when that happens. It can be hard to get into the rhythm of it at first. I STILL get tripped up sometimes switching from knit to purl stitches. My brain just dies.

Youtube has some good knitting tutorials from various camera angles, if that helps. I sometimes find it's nice to see someone knit from the same perspective that you would see looking down at your hands, even if it's for a skill I should already know.

The series takes place in a world plagued by Shocker, a mysterious terrorist organization. To further its plans for world domination, Shocker recruited its agents through kidnapping, turning their victims into mutant cyborgs and, ultimately, brainwashing them. With his sanity and moral conscience intact, Hongo battled Shocker's minions as the grasshopper-themed altered human superhero Kamen Rider. Another of Shocker's victims, freelance photographer Hayato Ichimonji, had also been given cyborg implants, but was saved by Kamen Rider from the brainwashing process to become Kamen Rider 2. Assisted by motorcycle race team manager Tobei Tachibana and FBI agent Kazuya Taki, the Kamen Riders fought in both solo and partnered missions against both Shocker and its successor organization Gel-Shocker.

Alright, so, "The Hobbit" DVD finally came out today and I wanted to do a stream, naturally. However, as it's a work evening I'm going to be at the school for the bulk of the day, and unfortunately the school computers don't allow Livestream to be installed due to issues with user privileges. I didn't want to wait too late to start it either considering the sucker's 2 1/2 + hours long. However, for those of you with a Google+ account, the Hangouts plugin still works. Theoretically, I should be able to do an earlier stream the movie that way. If you don't have a Google+ account, it's free to set up. I'll make a separate event posting with the time and the hangout link.

Fair warning, Google Hangouts works by providing desktop or webcam streams of each participant, so try not to have anything embarassing open when you first join (you can turn off your microphone and camera streaming within the hangout)

Manimal is an American action–adventure series that ran from September 30 to December 17, 1983 on NBC. The show centers on the character Dr. Jonathan Chase (Simon MacCorkindale), a shape-shifting man who possessed the ability to turn himself into any animal he chooses. He used this ability to help the police solve crimes.

Manimal premiered as a 90-minute pilot that aired on September 30, 1983. The series featured the story of Dr. Jonathan Chase, a shape-shifter who could turn himself into any animal he chose, and used this ability to help fight crime. Only two people were aware of Jonathan's secret, his friend Ty Earl and Police Detective Brooke Mackenzie. Jonathan and Ty would assist Brooke with a case she was working on, with Jonathan transforming himself into an animal when it became useful.

While Jonathan had the ability to change himself into any animal, he would transform into a hawk and a black panther in nearly every episode. In some episodes, he would transform into a third animal, such as a horse, dolphin, bear, or bull, with the transformation taking place offscreen, though once he was shown becoming a snake. The transformation sequences were designed and created by the Academy Award-winning SFX artist Stan Winston.

Certainly was a weird movie, seeing as there was a little girl being mind controled by a tiny woman on a dragon into being a delinquent who telekinetically bullied her brother, and the two fairy twins who fail to give him any support or help after being put into a bad spot and actually kick him out of the top branch of a tree.

And the mom seeing her kid teleflip her other kid and immediately focusing on the fact her husband was leaving for Hokkaido first.

The film starts at the meeting of the evil monsters in the castle in the Haunted Forest, heart of the Devil's dominion, during which the Vampire (Quintín Bulnes) accuses the Wolf (Manuel Valdés) and the Ogre (José Elías Moreno) of betraying the Queen Witch (La Reina Bruja, renamed Queen of Badness in the English dub), who orders them to be executed. Their friend Stinky the Skunk (Santanón) however escapes and informs Little Red Riding Hood and Tom Thumb, who promise to help. Meanwhile, the Queen and her sister the Old Witch cast a terrible curse, turning villagers into monkeys and mice for trying to defy her magic. The rest of the story details the heroes' quest to conquer evil.
