Solid Snake

2012 has been my busiest year yet. I had my most demanding semester of law school, which included writing two fifty-page papers, a twenty page paper, and taking four exams. I actually had my best semester this past spring, so I definitely wasn't slacking off.
I studied for the Bar Exam for ten hours a day for a solid month, and took the Bar Exam in July. I've wasted hours upon hours of my life looking for work.
All in all, I've had comparatively little time to game, right? Oh sure, I've played a bit of Skyrim and Assassin's Creed: Revelations and Dragon's Dogma, but that's only for a few hours here and a few hours there...
Oh, wait, Steam has something to say about this.
Crusader Kings 2: 384 Hours Played
...
...WHAT THE FUCK?!?
This game has only been out since January. Of this year.
Now, granted, I've occasionally left Crusader Kings 2 running on one of my computers while performing other tasks, and because the game isn't demanding graphically I can actually take turns as I'm writing and minimize the screen for hours as I do so (I'd often reward myself with half-hour gaming segments for every page I wrote.)
...But that's fucking insane.
I'm way too old at my age to be pulling these kinds of hours doing this kind of shit.
...But I keep coming back to it. It's like a drug! Most games, I can play for a week or so, beat the title, and toss it away. In this game, however, every playthrough is dramatically different. You can choose hundreds of different factions. It can take hours of diligent micromanaging to set up your dynasty through a single year of in-game play, and the game goes from 1066 to 1453.
This game is like crack. It should be illegal in every jurisdiction.
...And yet despite having a robust multiplayer mode and despite being cheap, I am the only NPFer who owns this game on Steam.
You need to buy this game so I can play it against you, k thx
