You might notice there's been a slight change to the way the comic is presented. I've decided that I would like to try a Warbot-esque approach and post the week's batch of pages all in one single update, rather than spread them out over the course of several updates. I think the comic reads better this way.

It's also easier for me to compose pages this way. Trying to make each page function as its own "unit" is something I don't think I'm very good at, and besides, The Dreadful isn't really a comic where something like that works anyway. The pages are meant to be read one after another in the style of a print-comic so I think this update style suits it better. It's not the perfect system. I think the ideal would be if I just did one chapter/issue a month, but I feel this is the better option :)

Some updates will be three pages, some will be two, some may be four, some may only be one. It depends on how it reads.

If I get too many complaints I'll go back to the old update method.

The second-to-last panel makes me glad that Umami didn't show up until long after the LIIIIPS!-thing died down.

Umami sorta has Princess Peach style baby-lips. I think it makes her face look soft and rounder, which is what I'm kinda going for. Umami is the youngest member of the cast right now.

Also relative to Kit's, her lips aren't all that big.

But I like big lips!

I didn't realize there was more comic after Bludkolt shooting Liz's shoe until I read Matt's note on the format change, so I thought he got turned around and was shooting into the distance. Then I went back and read the rest and my science brain went, "But where does all the mass go?"

Stupid science brain, just enjoy the comic. Trying to find logic in a world of bespectacled equines and lightning belching devikin? Madness!

And I like Umami's lips. They remind me of Battle Angel Alita's lips. Hers were frequently called "octopus lips" in the last books I read.

I would like to see someone make a Kit/Poe twincest comic. Or something along those lines. Some kinda H comic might be spiffy.

Mostly because I feel when people start making unsolicited porn of your characters your story has truly arrived. I wouldn't be surprised to find that some companies were secretly behind all the H-content....or at least some of it.

Like I'd bet Gainax is behind at least some of that Eva porn! Devious bastards. It's a global conspiracy. How the hell else would Rei have like 8000 pictures on Gelboru?

Ninja varnish. Every ninja is coated with this invisible liquid, and it makes them invisible. I suppose that when they also leave blocks of wood behind, it's because they stole the varnish from the block of wood, which is why it is suddenly visible.

I was just looking at the earlier posts in this thread... Chapter 8 has taken a LOOOOONG time to get through. The first page of it was posted in Mid December!

The Sakura comic played a part in that, and it ended up being 50 pages. Yeesh. :D

But this most recent update was the final page(s) in Chapter 8! So it's onto Chapter 9!
