A bit late, but here we go again!! All right, buckle up, cause it's Spring time in the anime world... what are we going o watch this blooming season?

From March, April and May of 2013 here they are!

--> Get it here, it's too big to post! ----> http://i4.minus.com/iboffq8nHImsOg.jpg

http://i45.tinypic.com/20sysk2.jpg

Ok, so... what gets my eye...

Gundam Seed Destiny Remaster ... well, i still don't give 2 shits about seed, so that doesn't phase me at all. What else ya got?

Chibi Hokuto No Ken? ...oh my. This is going to be one of those lists... isn't?

...Japanese Dub of My Little pony. Yes... yes it is going to be one of those.

Let's see... a show about a K-Pop group of girls, CGI cartoon about transforming fighting trains (this is some Thomas the Engine extreme shit! T'fuck!?)

Danbouru Senki still trying to be the next Pokemon... alright...

Hum... Devil Survivor 2. Any persona connections here?

Ok so... Samurai Girl sequel,a couple of Romance, a Comedy about a mermaid girl, a couple of Harem shows...

.....Robocar poli CGI cartoon................ ok...

Dragonball Z and Toriko Crossover... ok then... might be kinda fun to watch

YES! here we go... Shingeki no Kyojin seems a bit more promissing!

Haiyore Nyaruko-San W ... huh, what's this?
Haiyore! Nyaruko-san (????! ?????? lit. Crawling Up! Nyarlko-san?) is a Japanese light novel series written by Manta Aisora and illustrated by Koin. It was inspired by H. P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos.

.....WHAT!?

...ok ok moving on......

Oh hey! new Yamato series... cool!

What is this Aiura? Seems like Highschool slice-of-life show...
The story centers around Amaya, Iwasawa, and Uehara — three "annoying, spirited high school girls with zero motivation" — and their classmates. Their daily life is "what happens when there is nothing happening."

Oh hey check it out... Seinfeld anime!

Kakumeiki Valvrave... a silly named show from the team that brough us Gundam, Now doing Super Robot stuff... ok i'll bite...

And hey, check it out... also a new Iron Man anime! Maybe tie in to the movie?

Aside from that, we have the Dragonball Z vs the Egyptian gods movie (c'mon... it really is that). Aside from that nothing super major for me in this season... some stuff is extra weird this time around though!

So, c'mon... take your pick! Anybody adopting any new shows this season?

Right now i'm just following Saint Seiya Omega (it's getting better....) might pick up one or two more...

Right now i'm just following Saint Seiya Omega (it's getting better....) might pick up one or two more...Didya know Omega is going to continue for another year? It's true!

As for the chart, there's so much more on it than when I last saw it that I'm going to need some time to look it over again. Gotta sleep first, though. At first glance, I'll say that my impressions of the spring season seem very different from yours. For instance, I'm totally watching the Fist of the North Star comedy. Not sure how it can top the ridiculousness of the actual show, and I want to find out.

Didya know Omega is going to continue for another year? It's true!

After dropping 75% off all the new silly stuff they brought into the Mythos in the first 40 episodes, now they are focusing on never ending despair and misery that is going on right now until episode 50, where the saga of Eden the most unlucky "holy shit! Give me a break life!" guy ever will conclude and then resume with new slightly less silly Armor designs! Next season they will pcik another planet to completely misrepresent in size and gravitational effects of it hovering earth!!

I'm totally ok with that!

As for hokuto no ken chibi, i'm imagining that's because that Chibi naruto spinoff worked out well enough?

THEY'RE MAKING AN ANIME OUT OF SAINTS YOUNG MEN?????There's already one OVA out recently, another comes out this summer, and that thing on the chart is a movie.

The OVA is alright. It's not as funny as the best parts of the comic, but it's a lot of fun to see Jesus and Buddah do stuff for twenty minutes. Plus the character art has this nice inky look like the comic. Check it out.

---------- Post added 03-18-2013 at 02:07 PM ---------- Previous post was 03-17-2013 at 10:52 PM ----------

Ok, I got this listed out.

Stuff I'm already invested in:
Garupan: Read through a thread this morning that watched a stream of episode 11. Sounds like it's more TANKS than ever, which is great.
Gakkatsu: Still haven't finished watching last year's episodes, but I'll surely get around to this year's.
Hayate: If it weren't Hayate, the premise of "each girl gets an episode" would instantly repel me, but it is Hayate, so I have high hopes.
Railgun: It's supposed to cover the Sisters arc, which should have been covered in the first series, so I gotta watch it if I want to see what I watched the first part for. Plus I like the setting, and less Touma is much-improved Touma.

Looks Interesting:
RDG: Another "actual book" series. If the art is passable (I haven't watched the preview episode), I expect something unique at least.
Kyojin: Manga looks interesting from what I've seen, and I haven't watched a violent cartoon in a while, so I gotta to keep those "quiet loner = watches violent vidoes" correlations going. I owe it to sociology.
Mushibugyou: Silly fighting and Edo period. I'll at least watch an episode to see if it's not too terribly stupid.
Gargantia: Urobuchi might have written a story about being lost in the world where everyone survives. Or maybe I've just taken his bait.
Shima Kousaku: Maybe I like to watch cartoons about grown-ups sometimes?
Hataraku Maou: Maybe I like to watch ridiculous nonsense?

I'm attracted to bright colors like a small child/ridiculous nonsense:
Silly no Ken: It's Ken, but intentionally silly. If nothing else, I watched that whole series, so I'm watching this. Maybe this should have gone into the "already invested" section?
Muromi-san: Preview looked silly, it's not-Touma abusing mermaids. Plus the last fishing anime I watched worked out, so why not?
Leviathan: Gonzo weirdness and over-wrought plots, plus dragon people. I'll probably watch until someone's shirt explodes or some other awful "fanservice" turns me off.
Lucky Star Miyakawa-ke: I'm attracted to bright colors like a small child. Kinda weird that Kyoani isn't doing it, but then it's kinda weird that Kyoani has had a cartoon running every season for a year at this point. The comic is owned by Kadokawa, though... Maybe I'll look into it. Still, pretty colors.

No subs:
Kuro Majo-san ga Tooru 2
Drilland 2
Blood-type-kun
Nanafa 2
probably Garupan, HnK, and Kousaku.

And that's what I think of the Spring season, with as little said about the content of the shows as possible.

Right now I'm more interested in the new DBZ stuff. Mainly the movie. Other then that there's really nothing on this list that interests me at the moment. (I still havn't looked through all of it though).

EDIT: Nevermind it seems there are some mecha shows on this list that might be pretty awesome to watch. And that Witch acadimia OVA has caught my eye. :)

So just to finish up on the last episode of From the New World:

It was...Interesting. It still left a very unclear future but it was nice. I feel it's still kind of lacking closure, though.

Also, I can't help but wonder if Satoru's whole chromosome number thing was wrong. Something tells me there's more animals with 44+2 sex chromosomes.

So Psycho Pass just finished, and I really wish it'd keep going. I want to see something happen where the Sybil System is actually threatened, and Kogami comes back to either save it or bring it down, becoming Makishima in a way (or possibly bringing him back with the excuse of "he purposely missed and let Makishima live out of spite", which I could get behind). Also to see a better spread of development among the side characters (the one dark-haired girl had two separate incidents outside of the irrelevant backstory episode, I don't even remember her name because that's how much neglect for her there was in the writing).

Can anyone recommend a similar anime in the time being? These kinds of non-supernatural justice-type themes, like in Psycho Pass and Death Note, are really entertaining for me (non-supernatural as in "a few odd things that don't drive a dick through the setting repeatedly", as opposed to something like Claymore, Avatar or Dragonball Z).

"Semi" in that I haven't watched it, but I will over the week to see if it's worth recommending. You could watch it at the same time, I guess, I just want you to know someone's looking into it for you. It's about a dude avenging his sister's death in France; what could be more "justice" than that?IKUHARA'S NEW ANIME IS TITLED "YURI BEAR STORM" YES YES YES YES YESI heard it's about a bear that gets turned into a girl. It would be nice if Squealer's ambitions brought some more humane treatment of the rat people, but that seems unlikely. What's the point of having an underclass if you can't abuse them and blame them for all your problems?

I'm gonna semi-recommend Le Chevalier D'Eon. "Semi" in that I haven't watched it.About to watch the last episode. While the deepest cause for the plot seems to be supernatural, the playing out of allegiances which makes the show entertaining is pretty natural (psychological, anyway). It's less about "justice" than it is about "duty," but it has plenty of the suffering and betrayal that characterize shows like Death Note and Psycho Pass.

Plus I've watched it in three days, which was slower than I'd have liked. I never marathon stuff, so its ability to make me keep pressing Play is a high mark coming from me. Gonna go finish it now, can't wait.

Just watched Sword Art Online in a Marathon recently, full anime in a single leap.

First season rocks, second season kinda of a waste.

Everybody wants the main character's D. EVERYBODY.

Also, new Season of Saint Seiya Omega. The backlash from the previous season finally kicked in. They have now reversed most of the new original bullshit and kept the new cool parts. It went from okay to nice.

More news at 6...

I like how the Shingeki no Kyojin uses uneven outlines on the characters to sorta suggest the roughness of the comic's artwork. Plus the Giants were pretty scary, so that's good.

Mike and I paused the video and discussed preferences for robot sizes for ten minutes; this is a mark in Gargantia's favor. Plus, I appreciated how Leto's response to his robot's suggestion "We could just kill them all" was an immediate "No!" followed by reasons. I like that, even though he has lived as the decision making part of a killer robot for his whole life, he still values life enough that you know he'd never hurt anyone (or, at least any humans). Or, like I said in an earlier post, maybe I've taken Urobuchi's bait and Leto's gonna kill everyone.

New Saint Seiya is ok. I'm amused by adding in a Steel Saint and Kouga being all, "What the heck is that?" I look forward to seeing how everyone got over Cosmo Cancer and what garbage they're going to pull to have everyone's cloths turn into the old statue forms like Pegasus has.

Of the things I've watched so far this season, I'd like to suggest Hataraku Maoh-sama. You have to accept that a demon who tried to take over the world and killed countless people can be a nice guy (or, this is the biggest sticking point I've seen on the interbutts), but once this is accomplished, it's a pretty funny "magic fish out of magic water" story, with silly hand gestures and faces and the day-to-day non-crises of working at McDonalds.

First episode of Hayate was also pretty good, even though it was reusing material from the comic. Or maybe because it was remixing material from the comic.

Steel sains were such a weak idea that even the original series brushed them aside real fast. So they were never really canon until Omega brought them back again... now its kinda canon...

They pretty much dropped the entire Elemental aspects of Cosmo, and are now reverting all Cloth Gems back to Pandora Boxes and armors that actually look like suits of armor.

I liked how they kept Paradox´s fate a mistery... but she appears on the new opening so i guess she will be back soon enough. Which is a big plus.

Also, i saw the first episode of Shingeki, will certainly be watching more of that...

So they were never really canon until Omega brought them back again... now its kinda canon...As far as Saint Seiya canon goes, I think the sanest course is to consider each property separately. Like, original manga, old cartoon, Lost Canvas, whatever the manga going now is, Omega, whatever I'm forgetting: all separate. Otherwise you have to get mad about mortals damaging Gold Cloths and stuff like that, and who wants to get mad at fighting cartoons?

Just watched Zettai Bouei Leviathan. I think eventually it will be about dragon people fighting CGI zerg, but for now it's less-than-competent mages and a fairy picking fights with local goons and not exactly winning. Maybe it's just the pretty colors and fantasy scenery and Hidamari music, but I want more now.

Edit: Episode two: Bahamut gets caught in quicksand and the others are unhelpful at best. Why am I enjoying this so much? Why did I spend the last two hours downloading subtitling tools to remux and retime the subs I had for episode one onto a better video?

He has a robot that can decipher and speak unknown languages in minutes that apparently flies by latching onto an anti-gravity bubble. I'm willing to accept a targeting computer.

As for Railgun, esper powers are magic and work the way they do because the users think they work that way. Just 'cause Crowley doesn't call it magic doesn't mean they aren't the same phenomena other magicians use. K-Resh's explanation is also good and probably based on a greater knowledge of the work.

...Alright yeah this makes sense.

He has a robot that can decipher and speak unknown languages in minutes that apparently flies by latching onto an anti-gravity bubble. I'm willing to accept a targeting computer.

It's not just the targetting, it's the nigh-instantaneous power to acknowledge who's a bandit on this civilization a galaxy away whose language we can barely understand. Neither Ledo nor Chamber could grasp what pirate meant past "bad people" minutes before.

phil_
04-15-2013, 03:07 PM
I'm assuming that Chamber went with "Anyone who wasn't picked up by my super-tech biometric scanners on Gargantia is a bad guy." Or, that's what I thought while the credits rolled. I'm assuming that he's passively scanning all the time, given that they're waiting for a response to their distress beacon, info gathering is good form when presented with an unknown location and situation, and he already said he'd been scanning in the first episode when he told Ledo that the air and gravity were good.

Maybe they'll explain it, but leaving it as a demonstration of "Chamber is a very, very powerful and advanced robot" seems like better story-telling. It's beside the point how he did it; the point is establishing that Chamber is an untouchable god of death to Earthlings. Also shock value, but this is Urobuchi and that should go without saying.

So, Saint Seiya. Are we gonna have a story where all the Saints are good guys? Has that happened before? You'll have to fill me in, Bells; I didn't manage to finish the original Saint Seiya. Also, it'd be cool if all the Pallasites continue to have signature weapons, although that might be difficult to maintain for a year. It'd be a better way of differentiating them from Saints, who only rarely get weapons (Andromeda and Libra are about it, right? Should I count Wolf Haruto's claws?), than just the bug theme which the Marsians also had. It's a more obvious difference, weapons vs. fists plus COSUMO.

Subaru's still comedy relief at best. Shaina is still super cool, in that shounen fightin' way.

Bells
04-18-2013, 09:37 AM
Well, alrighty then! Here comes the full wiki...

So, in the world of saint Seiya there are a few rulings you must have in mind.

Athena's Saints are not allowed to use conventional weapons. The only weaponry allowed is the one that is part of their sacred cloth ( Chameleon's whip, Hydra and Wolf claws, Cerberus had Discus, Andromeda Has chains, Medusa and Dragon have powerful shields, there is at least 1 silver Saint with Ball and chain...). These could all be onsidered "arena" style weaponry. And saints are allowed to use them because its part of their constelation. But anything else is forbidden, and their main force of power must be their own bodies (so, Cosmo and fists basicaly)

Then, we have 2 special cases... first is Libra which is the Great Arbitrer. He is the guardian of the Golden Weapons, the full set of Stardust metal weaponry that is sealed away by Athena with the Libra Cloth. They are blessed with the power of Athena and made from the same metal that makes the Golden Cloths, being the only real weapons that Saints can have acess to and the only ones that can break through the Protective power of other gods. As such, for instance, during the battle against poseidon, only the Libra weapons could break the Ocean pillars of Poseidon, since their power could pass Poseidons barrier.

However, the Libra Weapons are so powerfull they can only be used with Athena's approval or under the Judgment of the Libra Saint. As using them against normal enemies or anything other than an emergency is consider unfair and cowardly.

The second special case is Sagittarius. The Golden arrow of the Sagittarius saint is consider a "God Slaying weapon". So much so that he only has a single arrow. It can only be used with the express purpose of defending Athena's life and is consider an ultimate measure of force. Which is not to be confused with Sagitta, which was a silver saint that used a wrist mounted crossbow to shoot phantom arrows, one of wich is a legendary poisonous golden arrow that slowly kills the target, but can only be removed by the power of Athena (as a show of mercy), thus when used against Athena herself... its big trouble.

The warriors of other gods might have other rules, but most follow similar rules to the Athena's saints.

The Pallasites are underlings to Pallas, wich is the Daughter of Triton, which is the Son of Poseidon, who Athena defeated but is in somewhat of Friendly terms with... if it follows through that Logic, Poseidong Generals where almost as powerful as golden saints, but they didn't have Weapons either aside from maybe one or two...

As for Saints being Evil... that's actually the most interesting underlining of Saint Seiya... they are not! Its a greek tragedy, its good guys fighting good guys.. sorta.

You see, Athena's saints are devoted to Athena, they are born and raised under destiny to live and die for Athena and her goals. These are kids that at age 8 are trained in hellish ways to become some of the most powerful beings in existence by age 15-16. ALthough the artwork doesn's show it, the oldest person on the Original Saint Seiya was Saga, and he was between 18-20 years old.

Also worth mentioning that a lot of these kids do not survive their training... or simply run away and never become saints or get killed for running away from their destiny to serve Athena and protect her world. This is actually the rules of Athena´s sanctuary... that she abides to. Same as to crossing the 12 temples without being invited. Doesn't matter who you are, if you are not summoned, you will be killed.

So, you might imagine... these kids... They are more powerful than any human in the face of the earth, choosen warriors of destiny to dawn incredible armors to live, serve and die for the Goddess of earth...they have an Ego.And they listen to the Pope, who is Athena's second hand. he is the Guy responsible for running the entire show...

Now imagine this scenario, you are this Holy saint of Athena, you survived hell to become of the most powerful warriors in history... then you hear these stories, of this Japanese girl. Who claims to be Athena, your goddess. The one you were told is safe and sound in your sanctuary, being guarded by all the Holy Golden saints and the Pope himself, keeping the secret of the holy saints that have been shaping history behind the scenes for ages...

And then, this new False prophet... taints the name of Athena by making a Tournament full of Bronze saints, the foot soldiers and errand boys of the sanctuary, in full spectacle on TV for all to see. And the prize they fight for is the great Golden Holy Cloth of Sagittarius.

Now mind you, one of the ground rules of being a Saint is that you live and die by your constellation. You were born a Bronze, you will die a Bronze... (a rule that Omega kinda Breaks but acknowledges when Seiya becomes the Sagittarius saint but it still called as the "Golden Pegasus". He is essentially chosen by the spirit of the Cloth to be Athena's guardian, that's why he can wear it)

So, you would imagine... they get a little pissed about it. Specially when they hear that this False Athena is coming to the sanctuary in order to take over it...

Of course, some of the enemies are portrait as "evilish" because anime... but in reality, they are not really. The Medusa Saint turned a bunch of Foot Soldiers in stone because they were fleeing from the Sanctuary and leaving their training Behind... Sanctuary rules, Silver Saint complies. Even though Athena herself was more likely to be merciful (Then again, its the same Athena that just told Seiya to kill a 8 year old Pallas with a Golden Dagger before she became a problem...) in the original series Many recognize Saori as Athena, unfortunately most only do so in their death beds... most are dicks. that's for sure. But the one actual evil case i can tell ya was Deathmask the Cancer saint. Simply because when he facing shiryu he admited that he was fighting only for himself and that he didn't care for Athena's goals at all and at that point he Golden Cloth rejects him completely.

So, while the Saint truly believes that he fights to protect Athena and her goals, he will have her protection. That's why you had Golden Saints fighting for Mars, they believed they were serving Athena's goals through Mars. When Sonia question this, the Scoprion cloth leaves her and essentially kills her with an overload of power (the Cloth's cosmo gets added to that of the user) .

So, in reality, All Saints are actually heroes serving Athena above all else. Some are just pricks about it... and during the Mars storyline, they broke cannon a little bit by having People receive protecting from Mars and thus remain wearing their Cloths... but there are theories for that...

For this current story arc i dunno where they are going to go... Pallasites are pretty much what the 108 stars of Hades where, Evil Saints. But you can bet on Triton showing up in 20 episodes or so. And i would not be surprised if Subaru was somehow connected to him... All gods use Human vessels, Athena uses Saori, Poseidon uses Julian Solo, Hades used Shun, Apsu used Kouga... Triton needs a body too.

Man, I really did leave out a bunch of weapons. Like, how could I forget the countdown arrow that made the Sanctuary arc work? Also, that makes Sonia's death a lot easier to understand. I had just written it off as "Soma gotta win, cosmo-something-cosmo." Thanks, Bells.

At the beginning of the thread, I described Suisei no Gargantia as "a story about being lost in the world." There were other words; I realize now they obscure what I meant. This week's episode was very much about the kind of stuff one thinks about in finding their place on this planet Earth, obviously exaggerated by space-type things. What I'm saying is that this episode is the kind of thing I was hoping Urobuchi wasn't lying about the show being when he described what it would be about.

Attack on Titan 05
I kind of expected a lot of deaths, but now I'm expecting Eren to simply explode in pure anger and somehow live through that.
Suisei no Gargantia 05
It's kind of weird to go from watching a guy wanting to hellmurder an entire species to a fanservice beach episode, with ridiculous transvestites thrown in.

So Haruto saved the day by growling at the enemy, came up with a new low-level special move that doesn't even work; and can't dress himself properly, spell his own name, or successfully drown himself in a sink. He's officially a joke character now, right?

Also, after watching Kouga and Scrappy get bloodlessly stabbed, like, twenty times, I'm starting to reconsider my initial enthusiasm about the Pallasites each having signature weapons.

Haruto is, by all intents and purposes, the most ridiculous character of all... and i love him for it. I mean, he has some real cool badass momments (His battle with Tokisada AND in this episode). It shows a side of the Saints never touched in the original work... the fact that these are kids, born and raise to die fighting for and against gods, and when the battle is done, the world will never know who they were or that they even existed. The fact that Haruto and kouga swallow that bittersweet pill is kinda of a character momment that i really really enjoy... but then you have to remember that the Wolf Saint with the Cool voice is also a NINJA named HARUTO, and on the second season he awakens to the power of Rock and Roll.

He is like Ishida Uryuu if his battle powers WERE actually magical sewing and needle point work...

Just saw attack on Titan ep 5... what the fuck.

Attack on Titan 06 is out and i like it more every episode. Don't even want to stumble on wikis or the manga to not spoil myself... hope the anime won't disappoint when the big twist is out.

I mean, it's speculatory on my end, but it seems pretty obivous so far that both Eren and Mikasa were being experimented on by the Doctor with some sort of "Giant juice". It's danglign right in front of the audience over and over about Eren's resistance (and now even a clear opportunity to show some regeneration) And Mikaza's super strenght... all dorment in them.

Also, having them being "half-giant" or whatever, actually seems like the only possible way for them to even have a chance fighting hundreds of thoses things... specially the Shadow of the Colossus types....

Close but....

It is only Eren, and way more extreme then you think. Mikasa is just that good.

Really!?

Cause i thought that she would indeed be the "Greatest Warrior" and such.... until this episode where she breaks the grip of the knife with her hand and the floorboard with he step... that just screamed "Super soldier" to me. But should be fun either way.

Specially now that they are Brother and sister except not really which opens up potential for a whole lot of fuckassary a'la Sword Art Online for shipping those two together...

Also this anime reminds me of a better Valkyria Chronicles... guess i really like War-Type stories...

Well it is not "super warrior" for Eren exactly, in fact what it IS is considered by some to be the point where it starts jumping the shark, and you will find out within the next few episodes I think.

Where'd you get "Eren's resistance" from? He's never been shown to get into a situation that'd really wound him all that much prior to getting utterly destroyed by the giants on episode 5, he's just a crazy badass determinator. Also, I get it that Mikasa is the best of the best, but she has effortlessy killed a bunch of giants on episode 6, hell, Eren isn't anywhere as qualified as her - mostly because of the blind rage - but, as far as we know, he was extremely close to killing the Colossus Titan.

...Is it me or does Gargantia seems to have suffered a loss in animation quality in the last episode? Also: Amy and her two friends seem to do whatever jobs show up and that apparently includes being eyecandy. Good thing they're not undera- oh wait.

Oh it's just a Shonen trope really. Sure i can be wrong, but that's where that stuff usually goes.

It's usually played out so that the hero can get the living shit beat out of him but still survive where others wouldn't. It's Deus Ex-Machina in disguise of using Willpower as a physical shield.

I just associated the probable fact that Eren will be showing regenerative powers with a future excuse for him to be abused further and still thrive alive as the hero cause he just won't give up.

But he never showed anything like that. He's fought twice so far, nearly getting strangled the first time and losing his leg in one bite, working up the willpower to save his friend and then getting chomped.

Given the level of crazy determination he has, it's no surprise he managed to go as far as he did in that second fight, but he certainly didn't resist shit aside from dealing with blood loss for five minutes, tops.

I like that Eden got to still be Orion-y as a Pallasite, what with the club and all. I hope we get more of him being a hero this year.

Attack on Titan 07
Woo Sasha is alive and also Mikasa is ridiculously strong and I guess Eren's a giant now?

Gargantia 07
Goddamn, coexistence isn't even a word with the space humans? Also, shit's gonna get serious now.

Spoilers for the rest of the series, nothing really specific but my issue with the general pace of the manga.
Yes. I hoped you liked the whole humans vs an enemy greater them that they can not understand, cause it is gone now. After this little arc, the manga takes a big nosedive, it doesn't become horrible, in fact it is still pretty good, but the potential that it had to be a masterpiece vanishes soon, there is only two more big human vs Titan battles coming up and one is with only one titan, and the other one is with some characters fighting off small titans in an enclosed space. The rest might as well be Godzilla vs King Kong.

Onto 58 and now things seem to be a bit better but Goddamn there is some Oedipus shit going on with kouga and Seiya...

Also kinda cool just to see Athena being an actual Greek goddess in this one knowing all too well that she is sending kids to their deaths for her and everybody is kinda ok with that...

also also... where is Paradox? I need more Paradox.

Also also also... weeeeee Shun is back!

As for AoT 7

It was kinda obvious that this was the road that would be taken, but the delivery was great.

There was no Ikki. There was much Oedipus, as promised. The Freudian "desire to kill yer dad" kind, not the classic "Oops, killed my dad :(" kind.

So.... SS Omega... shun is back and pimping some really cool armor. a more masculine one also... i never had a problem with the original Andromeda Cloth, but when i was 10 seeing Saint Seiya for the first time i did in fact thought that Shun was a girl and they just misdubbed the character.....

Now i know they have to reintroduce the character of Shun to a new audience, so the whole "super benevolent" thing needs to play itself out... and i even understand why he must be downplayed and not follow the group. Dude is actually one of the most powerful character in the whole series, he would just wreck everything...

But still, the amount of Slowpaced bullshit was of the charts on this one...

Oh well, at least now there are new cloths to go around for the original Saints and the new ones get a Senpai. And on the next Episode we are likely to find just what God is asleep inside Subaru while the series pretend we don't know that yet.

Also, i'm ok with this

Like, not fighting or anything, just being a nice, gentle guy? I'd watch that. I look forward to it; about time a saint got to be human on camera.

Oh there is action. There is even the stark contrast of Shun being able to stop the attack of a pallasite (that is slightly above Silver level) with his bare hand, no cloth, not even powering up.

But you will also get Shun being the his Shunniest for 20 minutes.
