Graphical glitches in AJAX chat?

Every so often a few lines of text will, after about a minute of being onscreen, suddenly look like this:

It's sometimes just the chat, sometimes only that box, and occasionally the full length.


This is only on the chat. Not on the forums or anywhere else, so I don't think it's my graphics card impersonating the Wicked Witch of the West. Benn happening for about two weeks now.

I've never seen that.
Are there any patterns to when this happens for you? i.e. after a certain amount of time specifically, after certain kinds of things are posted?
If you refresh, does it go away?

As the chat as we all see it is mostly just a bunch of javascript running in the browser, I would suspect that something is making your browser render incorrectly.

Is anyone else seeing this happen?

It's on Firefox, it's not really related to what's currently in chat, but more just being on the screen. Scrolling and refreshing clears it for a bit.

Just timed it with a line by Iggy, it went blurry about 5 seconds after scrolling, each time. The image above never gets messed up.

i had a similar issue on youtube, and actually quite a few embeded videos...

When i right clicked it to get into options, i couldn`t click anything and the text would be displayed almost exactly like that. I use Chrome though...

dunno if it`s directly related... but it really does seem java related or sommesuch, as i had recent Java updates on my Pc.... or maybe it was just an coincidence of timing.
