They are talking about placing half of an entangled pair on the international space station (http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/152906-european-scientists-propose-worlds-largest-quantum-network-between-earth-and-the-iss) to actually test the limits of the technology and whether or not its viable for long distance communication

I give a giant thumbs up to this as the EPR Paradox and Quantum Entanglement I think holds the secrets to at least Interstellar Travel as well as solving other issues in Physics.
