Back when they first announced this and they said Doctor Octopus would be the new Spider-Man, I assumed this meant Spider-Man with tentacle arms. Alas, it was not so. He was basically the same.

Now however they have finally fulfilled their promise of actually going ahead and giving Spider-Man four extra robot arms.

What the hell is going on with Spidey's torso in that picture? I can't parse it. It's like three different poses that just kinda melt into one body.

Apparently his spine is in a pretty solid "c-shape" to achieve that.

I thought his legs were tucked up into him and that was just a cape but nope.

Liefeldian anatomical decisions in the artwork aside, my main point is the inclusion of four robot spider-legs is something that should have been done long before now.

It won't last. Everything that's ever been done to make Spider-man or any of his many derivatives more spidery in appearance has crossed the monster line, which is pretty tight for heroic protagonists, and those changes have been undone and the comics canceled and the characters put on the sidelines. I have no big hopes for my comic idea about a spider who gets bit by a radioactive man, and not for these robot legs either.

Waaaaaait a second, didn't spidey have four robotic arms in that iron-spider smart-metal suit he had from forever ago?
