View Full Version : Fux News continues to prove they can still lose MORE journalistic integrity....

Despite having none already. How anyone can reasonably believe the shit they continue to spew is beyond me. (http://www.upworthy.com/fox-news-spends-6-minutes-describing-why-mr-rogers-was-an-evil-evil-man-5)

I mean, I get it. Mr. Rogers wasn't for everyone. Frankly, he weirded out more than a few adults. Regardless, his message to children was that they are special just for being who they are. In a time when Conservative Christian Republicans continue to seek (http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0911/64744.html) ways (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/11/food-stamps-house-republicans-cuts-snap-bob-goodlatte_n_1665558.html) to (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/27/dan-cathy-chick-fil-a-doma_n_3510449.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular) hate (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/06/27/dan-cathy-chick-fil-a-doma_n_3510449.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular) anyone (http://www.jimrigby.org/republican-racial-gerrymandering-in-texas/) who isn't them, it shouldn't come as a surprise to me. Yet, I still find myself appalled at how low they'll sink.

Your thoughts?

I got to the 1 minute 30 second mark and closed it...

Did the person who did this supposed 'study' get his degree from the University of North Korea or something?

As to FUX News...>_> Really guys? REALLY! So much shit wrong in the world and you spend 6 minutes bashing on a dead man who did nothing but good in his life? FUX News at this point not only has no integrity as a news source but now no shame, conscience, or brains.

better question, why are we dignifying fox news by talking about them. They are a "news" outlet. Speaking of their reports only empowers them like some dark nethergod

Unfortunately, ignoring them will not serve the purpose we would hope. They have too large a fanbase to go away quietly, as nice as that would be. It is better to be aware of their shameless inhumanities and muckraking, that you might be better prepared to discuss if you should have the misfortune of dealing with their fans.

Myself, I rather enjoy the discussions, because you guys often supply me with trains of thought that are not necessarily my own. It allows me to think more deeply on a given subject about the how and why things happen than if I were simply to stroke my own thoughts and passions.

So yes, you could ask why we talk about them, but I find it rather ironic that you'd ask why if it weren't worthy of being discussed instead of ignoring the thread altogether.

As long as Fox News shows up in polls where people rate how much they trust the news they're told (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/02/06/fox-news-credibility-low-poll_n_2632084.html), and The Onion doesn't, we know they need to be discredited more.

I wonder how that's going to happen, though. Fox themselves can say no wrong in the eyes of their viewers; if once every fifteen minutes they themselves admit they're lying to you, I'm sure there would still be people taking them seriously - possibly the same people who make outraged posts about The Onion articles - and if anyone else tells you Fox is lying they're not worth listening to. It's a perfect circle of broken logic.

I mean, yeah, fuck Fox News, but I don't think this is evidence of continued awfulness, merely past awfulness.

Fox news will continue to deliver awfulness regardless of what year it is.

There are three absolutes in the universe: entropy, death, and fox news being terrible.

I should hope hating on Mr. Rogers is the final straw for some people who might be listening to Fox News. I mean, come on.

My bad. I didn't spot that upload date (Upworthy unfortunately doesn't post upload dates, so I had to look for where you got it). I found it though, thanks!

I'll still agree, fuck Fox News.

You know who really seems entitled every time I see or hear them?

Fox News anchors.
