Whats your favorite gundam series. I liked Gundam Wing best. G gundam was OK. G was the only one that didnt have one of those "Earth Versus Colonies" wars. Wing was a war, but it had my favorite group of characters and mechs.

Gundam wing. The first one was still in that 80's animation style and the action was eh. 0080 wasn't bad but wasn't enough action and a sappy story. SD was...well I dont think I need to go there. Seed is just a remade version of the original. G Gundam was good but it lacked realism.

Gundam Wing had action, strong story, good animation, and never got too sappy.

...have you ever looked at the mech specs for gundam wing? Wing only has slightly more realism than G. Well, i mean realism as far as Mecha anime can do such a thing.

There are other gundam series’ besides gundam wing (in which 5 ton mechs fly around like they're on crack).

I highly recommend watching Z or ZZ gundam, now that's a good series! Or hell, if your taking my recommendations, then screw gundam all together and watch Vandread!

first off how can you dislike something just because of the fans themselves. Second never seen Z gundam so I dont know.

As for G Gundams realism...your right the MECHS are about the same. Its the thing the pilots do that I hate so much. I mean when you shoot out giant hands you start getting silly

I have watched Wing, G, watching Seed, and parts of SD (unfortunatly)
SD was stupid, gundam needs Giant robots, not tiny ones. I understand that it was a parody, but still, taht was too stupid. All the others I like a lot. Giant robot fighting is one of my favorite things to watch.

I like the character personalities in wing.
Heero: Acts more like a machine than human.
Duo: A comical angel of death.
Trowa: Trigger happy clown.
Quatre: He was a little bit of a pacifist, but he still battled, so ill let him slide.
Wu Fei: True warrior at heart, a little hot headded.

G Gundam is complete crap followed by SD gundam. The rest of the gundam series are just varying degrees of kickass from pretty good to f**k yea!!!

Still, if someone made a new Battletech anime, it wold pwn Gundam.

G Gundam (What the hell all of a sudden you have Gundam wtih "Hyper Modes" that only activate based on emotion, and the Dark Gundam that is invincible and can rebuild itself, and all this king of hearts crap. I swear if anyone ever said the hand of my burns with an awesome might. It's loud roar tells me to grab victory" I would crush their gundam's head during their speach)
SD Gundam (need I really start. Ok I will. WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING. You took the stupid emotions make us strong from G gundam and added the gundams are barely bigger then people, their fucking alive and make it one giant FUN FILLED AFTERNOON FOR 3 year olds.)

Gundam Wing is my favorite gundam series. I liked the character development and the interaction between thre main characters. I liked the dynamic between Relena and Hiro, how he was torn between his programming and his feelings. I felt the Wing pilots were the most human Gundam pilots out of all the series. Zechs Merquise rules, the Tallgeese is my favorite mecha ever! technically it doesn't clasify as a Gundam though.

I have a few too many problems with SEED, namely it is the biggest ripoff of the original Gundam series, and it doesn't even try to hide it. At least Gundam Wing put in a few new things to make it innovative.

Crap Gundam Series:
G Gundam - Had a few good points, but to be honest this is not a show you can take seriously on any level.
SD Gundam - A Gundam with moving mouth parts... what the crap? Instead of the SD look, they should have done an MS Girls series. How many of you would have watched that?

Good Gundam Series:
The Original - Good, but dated. If you don't like the late 1970's animation style, don't bother.
Gundam 08th MS Team - I love them little miniseries. Long live Norris Packard!
Gundam 0080 - They sure do pack a lot into 6 episodes; episode for episode it is my favorite Gundam series.
Gundam Char's Counterattack - Great film, I mean they sing a song about Char. lol.
Gundam Wing - Diehard gundam fans will say that this is a piece of garbae ripoff, I think it is actually pretty innovative. Check out the forums at www.mahq.net for any number of debates on Gundam.

The Best of Gundam:
Gundam F-91 - I really like this movie, it was supposed to be a series, but got cut down into a movie. It really gives you a lot to look at, and take in. I even like the romantic plot.
The Best Gundam series ever! Zeta Gundam - I can't say enough good things about Zeta. It's like the Hamlet of Gundam. Gundam Wing is the Richard III, Gundam 08th MS Team is Henry V, and... i'm pretty lost with these Shakespeare references.
When Zeta comes to DVD, buy it. The series is worth every penny, I got an HK import of the series, but I will probably get the official release when it comes out.

Haven't seen Series:
Gundam X - Innovative, but it gets lost in the fray.
ZZ Gundam - I hear this is supposed to be a comedy to counterbalance the tragedy of Zeta.
!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I forgot Gundam 0083! That series kicks butt, but it might be confusing to some soft-core Gundam fans.
I like Gundam and all, but sometimes the universe expects so much from the fans.
What am I listening to? The Black Mages album, gotta love techno remixes done by the original composer.

Favorite Series:
Mobile Suit Gundam. Yeah, so the animation isn't the best quality, but it's the well-developed story and characters that make it great. I mean, take a look at Gundam Seed. It has great animation, but is complete garbage after the first 20 or so episodes. It's essentially a recycled MSG with some of the most cliched plot twists ever and some attacks that get as ridiculous as the ones in G Gundam.
Favorite SD series: All of them (except the one with the cute demon robots, CGI, and 6 year old children). They are absolutely hilarious.
