Seriously, it goes Paul McGann (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XP4ClizZwbw), Christopher Eccleston (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pve2l3tOGk) and David Tennant (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb0uUL-aUIc).

Oh sure, the other Doctors have some great moments:

But who can measure up to the McGann Doctor?

I dunno, I really like the Matt Smith Doctor. I mean, I hate the plots they come up with for him, but he just nails the character. It's just a shame they script him as being an action hero rather than... Well, the Doctor.

I think I'm kinda weird for loving the 9th best.

Nah greed, it's ok, you're totally right, Eccelston was the best. They didn't have to keep going on and on every bloody week about how he's the universes messiah, capable of pulling deus ex machinas out of his arse just cos, and the universe never ridiculously exploded just because he stopped existing.

Things were a lot more interesting when he was really just a super smart guy, occasionally fallible, with a hidden dark streak.

The Doctor got boring in recent years because you never have to worry about anything because no matter how bad the situation the Doctor will just fix everything with the power of love or farting the universe back into existance or whatever.

Not letting Catherine Tate get in at least one full season of being the Doctor was criminal. But what a glorious, perfect 15 minutes she had.

No, the real crime was not letting Rowan Atkinson play the Doctor outside of a 1 shot comedy sketch.

9th was the best Doctor. Tate was definitely the best Timelord.

The first Doctor, because without him, there would be NO other doctors. :)

Oh, and we know who the next Doctor is.

Here is the new Doctor. (http://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2013/aug/04/peter-capaldi-doctor-who)

Disappointed that he's not ginger.

Capaldi had been firmly installed as the bookies' favourite ahead of contenders including Luther's Idris Elba, Ben Whishaw and Daniel Rigby, despite a cloak of secrecy surrounding the identity of the new Doctor.

Wait, Idris Elba was actually a genuine contender for the next Doctor? I thought that was just the internets pipe dream.

Not sure about the new guy, last thing I saw him in was Torchwood playing an utterly detestable douche of a man, so my perceptions are slightly biased against him.

Also it's kind of wierd to see a guy who was supporting characters in Doctor Who and Torchwood now taking the lead role as yet another character. It messes with my headcanon.
