Ryong McUrist has retrieved a length of jute.
Ryong McUrist has retrieved wood.

So the plan is that I'm making a GW2 standard to hang on my room.

Finding non-painted jute was hard but when I did I found red. Next part of the project is dyeing it to be a little darker and then I'll add in a bunch of yellow paint details.

I felt like my room was too boring and I wanted to add something cool so yeah.

No way I'm doing something that complex, though.

One day I'll actually finish this. One day.

I do have something else, though.

This. (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/57708505/ChoseNOne%200.1.6.pdf)

This is something I've been doing for a while. I've started working on a PnP RPG back in 2007 - although that version is shit and I only started taking this seriously in mid 2011 - I feel I finally have something I could show. It's nowhere near finished and, once finished, I plan to sell it digitally.

I'm doing this to ask for feedback, I'd say. Maybe I could explain some of my decisions?

...Also I guess maybe this is not the best part of the forum to talk about it, but hey, it involves a lot of writing and I'll need to get art of it done eventually so hey.

Opinions? No?

Alrighty then.

I liked the bird people fluff, but then I got to the mechanics and it was "Roll dice hit thing" stuff, which is perfectly fine (since almost every popular RPG has that at the core of its system), but isn't something I really want to dig into and criticize. "Roll dice hit stuff" is a tried-and-true way of playing make-believe around a table, so beyond pointing out typos, you would need playtesting to see what needs adjusting at this point. If it were something more out there, like Agon or Golden Sky Stories, where whether it can be played successfully at all is in question, then I'd be more willing to tear it apart and share my bloody mess with you.

Okay, something like this:

What do you think of the ideas for the masteries? Like how Light Magic is illusions, altering what you see and, well, shooting lasers, Essence Magic, which is general "arcane arts" stuff and also has both magic stealing and cold magic as they both rely on taking something out of a creature or object.

I want ideas, suggestions and opinions, not playtesting. That's later.

I have to actually find a way to organize some things to actually put it in there, like how to get across that the fandolir were an absurdly powerful, gigantic culture until a guy got really strong and then began a cult that began a murder spree and when that didn't work to get everyone to follow his ideals half the continent began sinking for no apparent reason and only those who followed him could survive.

Or how the humans and the dryarr lived together for thousands of years in a tiny jungle island until a ball of watery, scaly death crawled out of the seas to the south and pushed them north across half the world and now no one knows what happened to the island and the few people who stood there, but they're probably dead.
