Anyway, going to try and read over it a bit. Good on you guys for still running with it while I've been distracted.

Cliff notes post:
Masumi used MEAT SHIELD to block Imara's barrel antics, called her a monkey and questioned her parentage.
Masumi revealed to Nanako that she was also having fun. This involved mobbing her with zombies and trying to kick her into a pit.
Finally, she used the wizard version of smoke bombs to hopefully sneak away.

As I assume that Nanako would be held by zombies for somewhere around the realm of half a second that it would take to smoke bomb when Aidas arrives I imagine it will be to the pleasant tone of an over the head tornado backbreaker.

I'm hoping that the battle between Leer and Shizuka becomes similar to the ones between Yukimura Sanada and Date Masamune. The only problem is getting Leer to wield two spears while Shizuka learns to hold six swords at once.

Hmm, I'm really debating the use of flares here, because obviously we need everyone at the Kami's tower now. I didn't mean to make it sound like he isn't hittable, but technically the match-up, based on Shizuka's condition is 1-on-1 1/2 with Yuurei(both him and Leer are basically enigmatic type fighters, since none of them uses a formal style) around. I'm going to see what I can brainstorm on our fight to go with what we have so far.

Whatever you do, is so it quickly, as now everyone else is sorted out, Zel's on her way to the tower and she hasn't been delayed. So, uh, she'll be there soon, and then it'll be 3 v 1 and at least one of them doesn't fire warning shots.

In fact, that can be his personal mode of transportation. When he needs to cross great distances, he can just find conveniently located strange old men down by the nearest river to his current location who just so happen to possess artillery cannons that can fire him at our objectives. Heck, one can even live in a van down by a river.

I mean, honestly, even though he is fast despite his strange organic composition, he's still heavy as hell. I do have to seriously wonder if even a magical airboard will be able to remain aloft when he steps onto it.

I was thinking more of a lateral drop so that he does some rolling, too. Make him into a man-sized bowling ball. At least he can be used to bust through fortifications.

Edit: Hell, before all this fighting's over, Raiden will have to change Chapter 2's title to "You Are No Longer Legally Allowed Within 50 Leagues of the City". And we haven't even started Spring Break yet.

yeah, I feel like we've beaten what we can out of the city chapter. Team Light can start making their way to the boat (cannon fire is something that can be easily heard) while Team Dark can go about regrouping and finding their method of transportation.

I'll try catching up and seeing if maybe Chizuru can be useful. 'Cause Shizuka's too injured to provide assistance and Yuurei is probably more vulnerable to Raigaki's holy attacks than Kagi is, not to mention how far away we must be to Kagi's current position. Ghosts tend to be less resistent to magical attacks in JRPGs, particularly holy spells.

You said it yourself, they're light blades. And what can stop a sword? Another sword!

Masumi's currently in an uncertain state, like the cat she is, so I suppose she might be able to pop up if she manages to get away from Nanako and Aidas cleanly.

Alternatively you can try a dynamic dodge by throwing your sword at the ground and using it to leverage yourself back to earth. You'll have to abandon your dynamic entry, but you won't die!

Uh. Well, the groups gathered up, and Team Light proved they were awful, while Team Dark proved they were awesome. Pissing contests happened, and various people fought before all concluding that "Eh, I could totally win, but it's too much effort" simultaneously. THEN WE ALL WENT TO A CITY!

The groups scattered about the place, looking for food, whores, and booze, if I recall correctly, and since a lot of these interests lined up with people on the other teams, more fights broke out and buildings got blown up. Again, the general result was "I'll let you go this time!" for pretty much all involved.

Kurama found his inventor friend, who had a boat, and went off sailing while firing cannons at Kagi, Nanako and Al/whatever-his-name-is-who-is-basically-Al chased off after that fiendish Cat priestess of Arhra's, who in turn evaded them by being a master of catly disguise. Shizuka met Leer, ran around with him for a bit and then things got heated and they started another fight, this time with Death stepping in to help Shizuka, and Zel arriving just in time to see Leer run off (and shoot a fireball or two after him because of course). Now the groups are gathering back up and preparing to board a boat or levy a cloud from a Kami, or something like that.

My memory is perfect.

Though we're kinda missing a member of the Light Side based on PF's now incredibly busy schedule, so no near-demi-goddess-ish kitsune for us. On the bright side, the team mascotpet is still alive and currently dodging(read: running from) a fireball.

Now the question is, if Raiden will want to continue or not.

I guess the best thing to do is consider the fight over and get both sides to their general destinations (the good guys on the boat, the bad guys at the Air Kami's place) and just move on from there. Unless Raiden happens to have everything that was lost squirreled away somewhere.

Nope, I totally know my situation.

In fact, we should probably use this time to help Raiden remember exactly what's going on so he can pick it right back up.

Shizuka Mizuno is currently in front of the Air Kami's tower. During a one-on-one confrontation with Leer to which Shizuka was being skillfully humbled, Yuurei intervened and, due to Leer's spear/rifle combination weapon not being all that effective against Yuurei's spectral manifestation, the tables had been turned and Leer found himself outnumbered and outmatched.

Thanks to Zelenha's familiar Asha, Shizuka's well on the road to recovery, and she will need to have a body unravaged by damage if she is to convince the Air Kami through seduction diplomacy to lend her and the rest of Team Evil a more practical method of crossing vast distances so that they might stay one step ahead of Kurama and his entourage.

To the best of my knowledge, I think Yuurei and Zelenha are probably still with Shizuka at the Air Kami's temple at the time we lost the forum but I could be wrong. And as for Chizuru, I'm trying to keep her out of the fighting so she's just not being put to work at all.

First Issue That Might Crop Up: The townspeople are probably so damn pissed at all the destruction that they don't want to listen to either side and would want both teams gone.

Second Issue That Might Crop Up: I have to wonder if either side will have further use of this city and its citizens now that Kurama's got his ship and we've got our skyboards.

Heh, maybe this will be the only city we keep coming to as the story progresses...
