Comixology (https://www.comixology.com/) is a digital comics retailer, delivering thousands of comics to your mobile device(Or PC if you still have one of those archaic machines) at reasoneable prices and bundled with the Guided View, a panel-by-panel, scene-by-scene narration that helps you enjoy comics in a unique way in the smaller screens.

They also feature an array of Free Comics (https://www.comixology.com/Free-Comics/page/175), if you're unsure about spending your dear money on drawings and also random Sales (https://www.comixology.com/comics-sale), essentially making it Steam for Comics and being the cause of me buying over 300 comics this year.

Now that the introductions are over, for the next two weeks Comixology will be giving away free comics! While the past few choices were a bit crummy, today's it's Lumberjanes #1! (https://www.comixology.com/Lumberjanes-1-of-8/digital-comic/87340)

http://i.imgur.com/teMLj5G.jpg

Jo, April, Mal, Molly and Ripley are five best pals determined to have an awesome summer together...and they're not gonna let any insane quest or an array of supernatural critters get in their way! Not only is it the second title launching in our new BOOM! Box imprint but LUMBERJANES is one of those punk rock, love-everything-about-it stories that appeals to fans of basically all excellent things.

I'll also be using this thread to talk about the current sales(Buy some Transmet (https://www.comixology.com/Transmetropolitan-1/digital-comic/3999) btw) and whatever other event they have scheduled so stay tuned.

Today's freebie is Archer & Armstrong : Archer #0 (https://www.comixology.com/Archer-Armstrong-2012-Archer-0-Digital-Exclusives-Edition/digital-comic/70551), which I frankly know nothing about, I never even read Valiant before.

http://i.imgur.com/cJrv6GI.jpg

Once upon a time...a baby went into Project Rising Spirit...

Who is Obadiah Archer, where did he come from, and how can he do the incredible things that he can do? (Which is everything, remember?) Fresh off the shocking conclusion of the Sect Civil War, learn the startling truth behind Archer's origin with an exciting look into his secret past by Valiant superstar Fred Van Lente and fan favorite artist Pere Perez!

Also, the Farscape (https://www.comixology.com/comics-sale) comic series is on sale, though I never watched the TV series so I wouldn't know what it's about or why this guy is wearing a gimp suit

Archer & Armstrong is a balls-to-the-wall laughfest, a hilarious political and social satire of American culture and conspiracy theories. Dinosaurs, aliens (both ancient and futuristic), Area 51, the Freemasons, time travel, alternate dimensions, immortals, the Epic of Gilgamesh, it's got it all.

Unfortunately, Archer & Armstrong: Archer #0 is the worst place to start for basically anyone getting into it. It's not funny and deals with the (sad) backstory of Obadiah Archer. The regular Archer & Armstrong #0 would have been a way better offering by Valiant to get people reading A&A.

The Gimp suit guy is Scorpius.

Hey thanks a lot, that looks like an interesting series!

Today's gift is Gravel: Combat Magician #0 (https://www.comixology.com/Gravel-Combat-Magician-0/digital-comic/61304) which once again I know nothing about(shame on me) except that it's written by Warren Ellis, british extraordinaire author of such gems as Transmetropolitan (https://www.comixology.com/Transmetropolitan-1/digital-comic/3999)(still on sale), the hilarious Nextwave (https://www.comixology.com/Nextwave-Agents-of-HATE/comics-series/1006) and the webcomic Freakangels (http://www.freakangels.com/), among others, so this might be worth all that invisible money.

http://i.imgur.com/jPJYkRH.jpg

Gravel returns with a super-size launch issue and an all-new monthly series! Mike Wolfer has worked on every issue of Gravel to date, and he's back to his black magic ways, joined by artist Gabriel Rearte who is conjuring stunning pages! This #0 is a perfect starting place for new readers, with a self-contained story and a huge what-has-come-before summary of all the previous Gravel issues. After dismantling the aristocratic, magical hierarchy of England and surviving a war against a blood-thirsty serial killer, William Gravel disappeared. But even a man who can walk through walls cannot escape Combat Magic-fueled assassins. And he's not happy about it. Written by long-time Warren Ellis collaborator MIKE WOLFER, GRAVEL: COMBAT MAGICIAN presents a fresh starting point for new readers to enter the world of ultra-violent black magic.
