Now I never minded ads playing before videos for the most part. I treat them the same way as I do commercials. Worst case I tab out and check messages and stuff while it plays. Really long ones I might grab a drink. However this is one that not only didn't make me want to buy the product, but made me hope if fails to discourage this crap.

Basically the ad is a "screamer", thats one strike against it right there because as far as I am concerned such a cheap jump scare is the lowest form of horror. Though its far worse because its a commercial. Its the exact same 'scare' the exact same way, every single time. Even if it did scare me it wouldn't anymore. So now for a good chunk of my videos I have to deal with a random scream before I watch it and since its a scream there isn't much I can do about it. If I mute the ad it will mute the video so I have to turn it off and on.

Geez this is irritating marketing. Who thought this was a good idea?

Apparently twitch recently had an ad slip through that was a 15-minute pro-vegan propaganda ad that featured stuff like pigs getting neutered. A different kind of annoying from the Evil Within ad you're talking about, but definitely questions marketing quality and marketing quality control. I'd rather people read out Buzzfeed clickbait titles if the standard is that low.

Fortunately, the brain in Google's hive mind that decides ads for me doesn't throw that stuff at me.

I'm all for animal rights (more humane treatment, I'm cool with eating meat) but that stuff is more like brain washing propaganda than informative ads. Its like when anti-abortion videos bombard you with fetuses (feti?)

My most hated commercial is [Spring.2014.PG.Early] and it's G and R-rated brethren. The sound doesn't play, the technicians who actually know enough about our digital projectors to fix this apparently said "That's impossible, you're lying," when we explained what was happening, and explaining that "the sound will come on before the movie starts, there's nothing to worry about" gets old after doing so for every show for months.

It's not my fault, there's nothing I can do, and there's nothing that needs to be done in the first place. It's fifteen minutes of not being advertised at. Talk to your family. Stuff popcorn in your head, suck out the oil, and spit the remaining wad in the floor. Suck down that 44 oz. drink so you can get a refill before the movie starts. There's a whole world of things to do outside of being told what to buy. You even get advertised at with proper sound immediately after for another 15 minutes; krokodil addicts don't get the shakes that fast (beyond the shakes they already have from the nerve damage caused by injecting krokodil).

Where does this ad appear? I don't watch many streams live, and I don't see ads with video services like YouTube or on past broadcasts on Twitch.

edit: This isn't meant as a, "haha you have to watch ads" but more a "Where can I go to see if it is, indeed, something that gets blocked in my client".

The one add that is pissing me off beyond what should be normal is the Azeroth Choppers one.

Sure, this is what plays

well the first like thirty to thirty-five seconds.

And I encountered it the most with blip. Now just imagine THAT playing before like half your videos you watch
