I noticed alot of people here are playing City of Heros. If any one wants we could make some 8-bit teams. Post the server you play on and your character/s name.
Server: Victory
Hero: Bloodline

Swift: We have a very nicely-sized and family-like 8-Bit themed team going on already! :) Go on the Guardian server, make the rocking-est alt you've ever made, and then add 'Daier Mune' (who is Johnny Socko on the board) and 'Gen. Galactico' (me!) to your Friends list. Message one of us the moment you see us on and you're in! New people always welcome, naturally.

if you decide to make an team on another server, let us know so we can form up some alliances.

Im going to continue using my Bloodline charater so if you reeeeally want to find me you might try on the Victory server.

If you see Pyremancer on Guardian, be sure to say "Wassup!"
And on a completely different subtopic: Has anyone been getting a game crash when you change areas? It keeps crapping out whenever I change zones or maps. The map disconnects seem to be lessening, but that's only in relation to the crashes.

on my machine i get alot of crashes between sectors. i notice it happens alot when going into higher populated sectors (also kings row, not sure why my machine hates that area). i think it might have something to do with inadequate RAM, but i'm not sure. luckily i've been able to play on my roommate's machine since he's been out of town the past week.

Yeah, it might be your machine. Mine has only locked up once doing anything while i was playing UT2k4.
512 mb hyper X ram
128 mb Radeon 9800 pro
3.0 GH 800 fsb Pentium 4
2 Western Digital 10,000 rpm raptors on raid 0

6 case fans

SIX case fans? Good lord. My new comp. is just slightly better than that and I think it's only gonna have three fans.

so, uh, when are we gonna do Positron's TF? cuz no one really showed up saturday or sunday.
in other news, ive been to all the non-trial sectors now! granted, i died twice in founder's falls (3500 debt when i logged), but its been nice to see some new locals. the freakshow in brickstown and the rikti in FF i cant wait to fight, should be alot of fun.

Oh man. I remember when I was level 6 with Bloodline trying to find King's Row. Unfortunately I did not know about the trains at that time. Started off in Atlas, from there to Steel Canyon, then into Independance port, and into KR. Running for my life the whole time. Across rooftops and waiting for other heroes to engage villans ahead of me first then running past them. I saw so much purple on that trip I thought the world had gone gay. Didn't die once though.

Ha, nice, Swift.
Yes, we MUST do this Positron TF and we MUST do it sometime soon. For greater justice and all.

What's your people's record debt? Mine's around 8K, level 19.

I wish heroes could jump servers so I could tank for you guys on that TF.
Record debt: 4k. I was with a baaad team

I am a Blaster, so you'd think I get alot of debt. The fact is, I don't. If I'm taking damage, I'm doing something horribly wrong. If the situation goes all FUBAR, I run, or hover as the case usually is, as far away as possible. You can't get dead if you're not there!
It is a tactical retreat, not cowardice!

as group healer, i rarely die. when half the group goes down i'm run like a bat out of hell. plus most groups that i'm in usualy do whatever they can to keep me alive. i think my record debt may have been 3.5k.

What level are you Zwei?

<Hasn't played in days>
I think I'm about 13. <checks> Crap, I'm 12. Why did I think I was 13? Oh well, and with school going the way it is, I probably will only be on sporadically.

As a blaster, I never really got serious debt until I went to faultline and tried to solo there. Learned my lesson pretty quickly.

I'm a scrapper, so, naturally, when I'm not dead something has gone horribly wrong. ;)
I'm not positive, but I believe my record debt was between 9000 and 12,000 and was accumulated during Level 18 and carried over to a large part of level 19. Made that Level 19-having-no-missions problem particularly tough for me.

Take a look at the rants over at Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com/). I wonder what server he is on...
At least he isn't another Blaster.

Zwei: The rant? He seems to really be enjoying it. Did I not read the same post you read? Heh.
Update on the moving situation for Ramus and I! We're all situated in at the new house, but we won't have internet running until approximately Wednesday morning. So we'll probably be seeing lots of you after that! How's Daier and Henna doing?
Deathosaurus Wrecks
06-21-2004, 12:38 PM
Daier is doing fantastic now that he's got 512 megs of ram on his machine. im convinced that ram is the panacea for computers. i found a link here for pictures from the new mobs coming out in the first update. i wonder if the guns those clowns have shoot those 'bang!' flags out of them?

Hey guys, just wanted to say that Henna started us a little website for the 8-bit Heros. here it is! (http://profile.myspace.com/users/5201173) we're accepting screen shots and profiles of those in the SG, so if you guys have stuff you want posted send them to us at eight_bit_heroes@yahoo.com

i dont think theres a picture of me on that site. the picture of the guy named "Tom" (if that is his real name) is the guy who owns the webservice or something.

Hey, message of the day said to ask about the 8-Bit Heros (gotta love your spelling) website... so here I am asking. I know that it's posted up there ^ but i wanted to ask because THAT was what i was told to do. I'm a good listener.
By the way, I just made level 11 and still working my way back up as fast as I can. I'm thinking that Sunday we should do a badass Taskforce so me and my pet targeting drone (dubbed Fluffy) can tear shit up.
To anyone else joining the team or thinking about it, we have a lot of fun. God knows I can't be serious for 2 minutes even in a mission filled with zombies puking on my nikes. Even if you're not high level yet, there's always someone who has an alt and is willing to chill with you.

Heh, thanks for the good reviews, Boarder. ;) I dunno how many people will be around or willing to join a TF Saturday. If I get my alt high enough I might be able to join you. But even if SG members can't it's extremely easy to find a pick-up group at almost any time. Or start one yourself! Heh.
