As any of you who have visited the website www.randomsubstance.com (both of you) may know, my server is having quite a few problems as of late. I'd planned on taking a six-week vacation to take care of some "real-life" problems, but now it looks like it may be a bit longer than that. The server admin refuses to answer any of my emails or IM's, and I have no Random Substance email or ftp access. Therefore, updating the site is impossible.
I may check out another server in the next few weeks, but for the time being, Random Substance is dead, and it's going to drag my comic, Not Metal Gear, into the abyss with it. If things change, I'll post in this forum.
Signing off.

Well, thanks to the nice folks at Fuitadnet, Random Substance shall again live and breath. I'll be switching the site over to the Fuitadnet servers over the course of the next week. I have no access to the current forum database, so all forum users will have to start over from scratch with their memberships; other than that, I expect everything will run smoothly. I'll update this post when all the arrangements have been completed.

Glad to hear it. I was wondering why I couldn't get to the forum. Listen, if there's any need, I do have the whole comic archives on my hard drive. I've made a habit out of that long ago, due to my modem being of the 56k variety.
I think the textless versions might be around somewhere, too... which reminds me... I kind of slackered with the translation goodness... will be made up for, promise.

Well, fortunately I've got all that stuff archived on three cd's, two of which are locked away in a fireproof safe.

Now this may just be me but it seems like Fuitadnet can solve all ills. Including cancer.
I read the title of this thread and nearly had a heart attack.

Well, everything is switched over to Fuitadnet's server and the site is running nice. Well, except for the forum, but that will come with time. Check it out if you dare - www.randomsubstance.com.

This is some of the best stuff I've read. And I'm a hardcore MGS fan, as everyone knows. So, when a hardcore MGS fan compliments a MGS paradoy/rip-off/degeneration/whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-this-comic, then you know you're doing something right.

Sorry about the post-July 1st delay, guys. I've been called out of state on business (real life, y'know) and my computer is down once again. I'll be back home on the 12th, will spend the 13th & 14th at home working on my computer, and should have some new Not Metal Gear goodies online for you.
