Info:
Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (Japanese: 機動戦士ガンダム 鉄血のオルフェンズ Hepburn: Kidō Senshi Gandamu Tekketsu no Orufenzu?), also referred to as G-Tekketsu (Gの鉄血?), is a 2015 Japanese Mecha Drama animated television series and the fourteenth incarnation to Sunrise's long-running Gundam mecha metaseries. It is directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun) and written by Mari Okada (Kodomo no Jikan). It's stated to air on Japan in both MBS and TBS stations on October 4, 2015. Iron Blood Orphans focuses on themes regarding war and war orphans trying to find a place for them to call home.

Story:
Post Disaster Era 323, 300 years after a great war on Earth, the planet Mars has been successfully Terraformed and colonized by humans. However even with the advancements, the humans in Mars crave freedom against the Earth Government. A young orphan named Argus Mikazuki is working for the private contractor group CGS, entrusting the safety of the Martian Princess Cuderia Aina Bernstein with her plans for her nation of Chryse to secede from Earth. But one day, they were attacked by the terrorist group Gyaralhorn in hopes to stop the Martian Independence. Worse, CGS's deal with the government has cut off, and they finally gone rogue after the deal with Orga Itsuka planning to rebel against the adults. Argus must now choose to follow his friend, or his mission as he stumbles into the legendary mobile suit: the Barbatos Gundam.

I will wait and see, but besides for Gundam Wing they have at best kept my interest. Perhaps I'm just not the kind of person for this.

So what kind of great war are we talking here? Just some grand unifying war, like nuclear winter causing? I will say the fact they are making it on Mars instead of orbitting colonies might make it more interesting. My biggest problem with Seed for example was it being a re-hash of the original mobile suit gundam. I do wonder how they will handle the biggest issue of why this entire scenario is unlikely. It would be a logistical nightmare to wage a war against Mars. Suppose you could have a military presence on Mars already but then you get into the old China/Mongol issue of your troops growing stronger ties with the foreign entity they are suppose to guarding against.

My guess is that they'll probably do what Z.O.E did. Basically war ships have warp drive/warp gates.
