So that new Wonder Woman thing looks pretty neat, I guess.

My wife and I are planning on seeing it this weekend. The reviews have been pretty stellar and it sounds like DC actually made a good movie this time, which is a little sad because they've chosen to advertise it at a much lower scope that all of their other failures so far. So even if it turns out to be as amazing as the hype, it may still not pull in the numbers or profits to be as much of a success as it could have been.

So, even when the movie's good they manage to fuck it up. Typical.

Just saw it. It was alright. By far the best DC movie, but that's a low bar to jump at this point, which is why I think its been so hyped. Its a weird mix of silly and serious that sometimes works and is sometimes misses the mark, and the ending undercuts the overall message of the film a bit as well. Certainly worth watching to kill an evening though.

The wife and I just got back from seeing it. Definitely agree that it's one of the better movies DC has cranked out in the last decade or so. Over-all it was worth paying to see. The story was pretty solid until the end.

Occasionally this movie is GREAT. There are a handful of awkward editing decisions that stood out to me especially towards the end of the movie (minus one really AMAZING cut that ties two simultaneous events together SUPER well).

I also didn't care for the decidedly unsubtle finale and how its unambiguous interpretation of the DCEU's cosmology is going to create some problems for future films.

But those things aside, the film is good, does its' 'war movie' bits real justice with more than few genuinely touching moments, and gives us the first protagonist in this franchise worth admiring for possessing genuinely heroic qualities in the face of complex geo-political problems, as opposed to the morose or annoyed acceptance of responsibility found in Suicide Squad, Batman V Superman, and, the most baffling, in Man of Steel.

I thought it was a pretty good movie. Hopefully the Justice League will be similar to this and less like B vs S.
