Kardin stood at the head of the table. He stamped his foot to get the attention of his comerades. "A battle's started off between Kel Nu'ur and Tramph in the center of town. 32 People have already died, 9 of which under the age 12. We've got to stop the fight. Kel Nu'ur is both rich and violent, so prepare yourselves for a difficult fight. That is all." He took his dagger from the table and sheathed it in his belt and ran out the door, leaving it open for the others.

Melandie Bell was walking up one of the streets in the city, when she suddenly heard a crash. She turned her head left and saw a battle reiging on the street. "Oh Rowt, not again! There was a battle last month. When will it stop." She thought. Then she put hand on her hat and bringed the other which was holding a basket of groceries to her stomach whil grabbing thightly from the basket. Then she started running as fast as she could in the other direction.

Vars stood in the town Square, a circle of corpses surrounding him and blood staining his sword. Vars was the last surviving follower of Kel Nu'ur in the battle. The elf struck down 2 more followers of Tramph. He saw others (these being Kardin and his companions) rushing down the street towards him. "Shit." Vars turned and ran. He swiftly leaped onto a building and started runningm, rain whipping at his face. He drew his bow and turned, firing and striking one of his pursuers in the heart.

ooc: Could you please recognize the arrow as Vars's?

IC: Vars continued running and and jumping from rooftop to rooftop, his cloak billowing out behind him. He suddenly leaped off the building and turned to face those running after him, slowly extracting a large flask and a match. He spilled the contents of the flask on the ground, lit the match and flung it into the spilled liquid. It instantly ignited, creating a wall of fire betwwen him and those chasing him.

Bombshell walked for miles when he saw a war. "Kel Nu'ur and Tramph what do you want to become of this land a mess? Oh well not my fight unless anyone says that they hate Gla'en." Bombshell just walked on away for the battle. He had no intrest in the battle. After all he would get nothing out of it. Unless he stole something.

Kardin arrived at the scene. "Oh... DAMN." He said, looking at all of the slain Tramph followers, all of which Gorbonwitz. I hate this war. If onl- what the hell?! He thought, stopping by one of Vars' arrows. Vars Kaslerr... here?! He's still in Noham. ...Isn't he? He kept running down the street at top speed, moving as fast as his legs could carry him. He knows my secrets! He came to a halt at the wall of fire. He's here.

Still running, Mealndie realised something.

"OhH SHIT, MY HOUSE IS THAT WAY!" something yelled out in her head. She stopped and turned around just in time to see a fire burst out on the street.

"Thank god my house is a kilometer away from here!" She thought and started thinking on what to do next. Nothing came into her mind so she walked slowly into a large ally between two buildings, from where she could watch the events unraveling.

Harold wasn't enjoying his choosen profession. He hadn't been able to pull of a large job for a two months now. Redudced to small time crime for that long Harold worried that he would never get another good heist. A elven woman with a bag of groceries cautiously walked down his alley. He sighed wondering whether or not it was worth it then got up and wearily drew his katana and pointed it at the womans neck.
"Your money or your life," he said monotonusly.

Magnus stood upon the balcony of the administration building of the city, gazing at the battle taking place in the town square. As the battle died down to the last few survivors, it was obvious that the forces of Kel Nu'ur were being routed, the last of their kind fleeing into the streets.

Magnus shook his head at the emense devestation, and terrible loss of life, then looked up to the sky. the air around him grew hazy, and he was lifted from his perch, his metalic garments being lifted by the very magnetic fields of the earth. He set down at ground level, and began checking for survivers...

"Erm, Goodbye!" Melandie said to the man, as he was walking away. Then she turned back to the edge of the ally and looked at the scenes rolling before. She didn't know what exactly to expect. She noticed, that there was an elven man standing on the road. She realized he must have created that fire. Then she noticed a group of people behind the wall of fire. "This might get exiting" she thought to herself. And then the rain started.

The rain put out Vars' wall of fire, leaving a clear path for Kardin. He ran blindly through the streets, trying to find Vars. Noticing a pile of dead bodies in the road, he followed the destruction. I see he hasn't changed. Has he been here this past year? When did he arrive? I told him not to follow me. He kept looking, hoping that Vars would care enough about his daughter to join the Marlag.

Damn...too late to make a difference

David walked through the mess of broken and mangled bodies, crossbow at hip level, but pointing down. He checked for any signs of life, but he knew he probably wouldn't find any.

Tramph clanners don't leave survivors... he thought. Suddenly he heard a noise behind him. It was a wounded Tramph clansman weilding a broadsword and charging straight at David.

Well...this may make up for something... he thought bringing the crossbow up and firing off a shot. The bolt smashed into the enemy's sternum, and pinned his dying body against a wall.

"That is the price you pay for senseless death and destrcution." David said quietly at the enemy soldier.

OOC: Vars doesn't recognize Kardin yet.

IC: Vars leaped down from a building, right onto two of Kardin's men. He brutally stabbed them both and stood. Immediately, ten more lunged at him. Vars calmly parried their blows and stabbed a leg or an arm, causing them to fall in pain. He made his way towards the back toward their leader. He reached the Gorbonwitz only to find a sword at his neck. The Gorbonwitz did not reconize because of his hood, and the two stood there until a female vioce rang through the air. "Put it down!" A young, 14 year old elven girl dressed in black garbs similar to Vars's own stood on a building, holding a crossbow aimed at Kardin.

Meanwhile, Melandie had been thinking and suddenly realized she could go into the other side of the ally and on to the street, as the alley was not a blocked one. So she walked right into the other end and started walking throwards her home.

Harold thought long about the woman he had just robbed. "It must be nice," he said aloud, "to have enough money that you dont make much of fuss over being robbed." My way of living isn't life at all, he thought, maybe if I ran after her she could give me a job. I could garden or something. I wouldn't have to bide my time for some big break just so I can eat for a few weeks. Harold sighed but smiled at his fantasy then moved towards the square to maybe rob some corpses.

David heard a female voice telling somebody he couldn't see to put down something.

What the... he thought as he started traveling in the direction of the voice. He saw a Gorbonwitz holding a sword to an elf's neck, and he also saw a young elven female with a crossbow aiming at the Gorbonwitz from the roof.

Hmm...she must be telling the Gorbonwitz to drop the sword. David rationalized as he brought his own crossbow up, unsure of what exactly to do.

I'll see how this plays out...and act accordingly

He ducked into the shadow of a building and watched the standoff from a comfortable distance.

Kardin ingnored the girl and, without saying a word, removed his hood. He knew his face, along with his voice, had changed a lot in the last 2 years. He wondered if Vars would recognize him. "This, is quite akward..."

Vars ran away swiftly towards the palace of the Tramphs.

Vars soon reached their palace and grinned. Vars emerged from the shadows and killed the solitary guard, muffling his screams. He descended into the underground complex and drew his short swords. He killed every Tramph who opposed him, leaving tthose who did not alive. He quickly found the leader's quarters and kicked down the door. The leader screamed and gagged as Vars's sword plunged into his neck. He sunk to the floor, dead, and without turning, Vars stabbed a man trying to kill him. He then continued on and this time, he killed every one of them. He climbed up from the sewers and wiped the blood off his hands, walking through the streets as if nothing happened.

Magnus stood in the midst of the bodies scattered about the ground of the city square.

No survivors he thought to himself, then stopped by the body of a young soldier, no older than 15 at least. When will these feuds end? We send our children to die for our causes, and in doing so we doom those causes to extinction.

He looked up to see a young Gorbinwitz rummaging through the bodies, searching for valuables to loot.

"What are you doing!" he called out.

Kardin heaved a deep sigh as he returned to the headquarters. There must be a reason for he and I to have run into each other. Were we supposed to work together? If that is what fate intended, so be it. Until I know for sure, I must wait. He put his hood back up. I've heard tell of a man named Magnus with remarkable powers. Maybe he would be interested in joining?

Also noticing the man looting bodies, he prepared to throw his daggers. His eyes turned red, showing that he was angry and that his magic powers were awakening. The Gorbonwitz Rage, a state a Gorbonwitz enters when angered, was shared by all of his species. Kardin, however, had more powerfull, longer-lasting rages, thanks to his blessing. "Respect the dead!" He hissed.

The Gorbinwitz's back smashed into the wall of a nearby building, it stood there, cowering in fear at the man who so easily threw him.

"You loot and pillage from your own bretheren! Vermin!" Magnus yelled, his deep baritone voice causing the mouseish creature's fur to stand on end.

"Don't kill me!" the thief squeaked in terror.

Magnus once again grabbed the gorbinwitz by the coller and lifted him to eye level. "Those that steal from the Dead deserve no less." he intoned, his voice icy. "But I will not soil by blade by dispatching such a pitiful creature as yourself."

With that, he threw the thief towards the alley from which he had emerged. the young Gorbinwitz scampered to his feet and ran at full speed away from the rogue warrior.

"Thieves and grave robbers." he said in disgust.

I could be a bartender, he thought, that would be an honest way to make a living. Serve drinks. Amuse people with simple tricks. Sure there would be raving muderous drunks I would have to deal with but how can that possibly be worse then this.
Completely unaware of what he was doing he walked across the square and sat in a burned out doorway. He put his hands in his lap and looked up. Having said that she went back on the move throwards the ally through which she came into the other street. She made it there, went through and started walking up the street throwards her home. She tried evading looking at the corpses piled at the walls. And then the roof of the building, that had collapsed in front of her fell in. ((That Gla'en)) This was not the only place Gla'en was attacking. Kardin was fighting them away from Marlag Headquarters. It didn't take long before they began to overwhelm him. They had the power of Fire. Kardin did not. Looks like I'm going to die. They had him cornered. Then he made eye contact with one. He had a crossbow armed with a flaming arrow aimed at Kardin's heart. Kardin knew him. That was the man who ruined his life, who made become the hardened creature he was. His eyes instantly turned blood red as he bolts of electricity began shooting from him. This was a maximum level Rage. He killed eveybody near him (Not including Magnus), except the man with the crossbow, whos arrow had been destroyed. Kardin wanted to savour this.

He slowly approached the man, his every step ending in an expression of rage. The man began backing away, his eyes full of fear. Kardin's eyes, on the other hand, were full of anger. He looked insane, the way he did the night he killed the elf named Darvon. As the man's stride sped up, so did Kardin's until the man backed into a wall. Kardin said nothing. He raised his left hand, fingers spread apart. He began glowing the same shade of red as his eyes. A blast of electricity shot from his palms, leaving nothing of the man but ashes. Kardin's eyes returned to normal as he fell to one knee, hatred burning inside him. He kicked the ashes into the air, twirled around and headed towards the mansion.

Bombshell had been walking for what he thought like days. Until most of his kind were attacking something or someone maybe many. "What the hell is going on here? Who told us to do this? Damn. So much burning must resist urge to burn. Hahaha! Burn! Everything burn!" Then someone kill his kind. "Huh! Hey you! Why did you kill him?" He didn't understand why this person had killed Bombshell's kind. Bombshell thought what did we do besides what happened now?

Vars quietly came up behind Bombshell and put a kniffe to the thief's throat. He then clasped a bloodied hand around the stranger's face. "Boo."

Kardin did not answer, nor did he notice Vars' attack. He reentered the mansion.

"So you know I'm a thief, but I bet you didn't know thieves can escape easy. How much you wanna bet I can escape before you kill me." Bombshell didn't want to talk so he slid out, but his arm got scraped from knife. "Heh. Sucker! Hahahaha! Burn!" Bombshell used his fire to try and kill the person. But he didn't look back. He entered the mansion as well.

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 05:29 AM
"Who are you? Why did you kill that man? Do you want revenge? Why are the Gla'en attaking everything? I must know everything and why my people attack here. Did you do something to them?" Bombshell didn't want to explain he just wanted to know what's going on.

"The Gla'en are anti-peace. My organisation is a peacekeeping one. I did nothing to them until tonight. They had already done something to me. The man I killed in particular."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 05:37 AM
"Really? Then why am I different I'm Gla'en, but I'm not anti-peace. I'm just a Gla'en thief 'cause someone hired me. I'm Bombshell who are you?"

"Because you're sane. My name is of no importance to you."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 05:42 AM
"Really. The man who was he? I just think that he was someone I knew, but I don't remember.

"I knew not his name. All I can tell you is that he took the life of somebody very close to me. Several people."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 05:46 AM
"I see. I'm sorry for what I have to do next. I have to kill you no one ever gets away with knowing my name unless their a thief and I know you're no thief."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 05:58 AM
"How did you... So you are a thief, but I have never met anyone who is faster than me. Ok so maybe I won't kill you... at least not for awhile. Are you sure you didn't know the man's name?

froofmyster
06-17-2004, 06:01 AM
"I'm sure."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 06:02 AM

froofmyster

"If you mean Gorbonwitz, yes. Three of them."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 06:08 AM
"Well that wasn't the man I was looking for then. Hm... I wonder. Did you kill any other people?"

Bombshell

"??? Well that didn't help. Let me make it more clear to you. I'm looking for this guy um... darn... oh yeah. Vars someone put me on a job to kill him, since I'm so sneaky."

"I got the impression. I'm afraid I don't know who this 'Vars' is." he lied. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do, and you have to get out of my home. Now."

Bombshell
06-17-2004, 06:28 AM
"Ok but give me back my sword so I can find someone who knows who he is." Hm... is he lieing? I just wish I could read people's minds to find out if he's lieing. Oh well. Maybe I'll ask the man outside he might know who Vars is. Ziff thought.

Kardin tossed the sword out the door. He walked up a flight of stairs to a study and went in.

As Bombshell blasted fire at Vars, the assassin turned away and his cloak began to burn. He hastily pulled it off, showin that he was wearing another. He followed Bombshell.

Later, Vars stood in an alley, listening to the conversation between Kardin and Bombshell. As Bombshell left, Vars emerged from the alley. "I'm Vars Kaslerr," he said, his green eyes glowing in the light of the torches that illuminated the street. "I bring bad news for you, my friend." Vars held up the knife that Bombshell had been cut on. "All of my weapons are coated in lethal poison. In five hours, you'll be dead." There was a pause, the silence only interrupted by the steady beat of the rain. "Now hit me, if you can." Vars drew his swords and smiled. This should be fun.

"What! Poison... how... the... knife...? Then that man does know you after I'm done with you he's going down as well." Bombshell picked up his sword. "I don't need my sword but since you battle with swords so do I." Bombshell created a flame blade using his fire and his sword. "Ha! Beat that!" Bombshell had charged and created a flame bursting out of his sword.

"Big deal." Vars sidestepped the attack and tripped Bombshell, sending the warrior sprawling across the dirt. "You foolish human. Do you know whom you face?" Vars grinned, obviously enjoying this. "Now, let's have some fun, shall we," and he raced off into the night.

"Gr... heh fool. I tricked him I'm not following him. I'm after the liar." Bombshell went to the masion and blasted the door open. "I know you're hiding show yourself. You lied!"

Vars saw no one behind him and ran up the side of a building, using his momentum to perform a double front flip and land silently behind Bombshell, knocking him out with the hilt of his blade. Vars stepped over Bombshell's body and took his sword, throwing it into the rain.
