I'd like to be able to have a picture signature again. People I meet on Gaia say 'You're that girl from 8bit who had sexy anime girls in your sig!' Alas, I'll never live my obsession down.
As for that, I pondering changing my poetry snippet, though I can't find the right poem of mine to suit my mood yet.

Funny ... they say the same thing about me ...
Creepy.
I want to put on the greeting that ace ventura makes to the wachati cheif in "When Nature Calls", but cant figure out how to spell it all, especially how to spell the popping sound, "shoobedoowe wa Pop, shim shimminie shim shimminie shim shim sharoo, haeeya, ruff!* Hows that sound?

At avariel, I wrote out some of the bassoon part to Fiddler on the Roof. I think I might use that somewhere.

I like my sig the way it is. I'd probably put more Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy quotes in it, but that would make it pretty long.
YYYEEEAAAHHH, it's in the rules. Gi-normous bandwidth guzzling sigs are a pain for dial-up modems and use up too much visual space. I've been to forums (I'm sure we all have) where the sigs use up 10 times the space of the post itself! Sometimes it only takes 4 or 5 posts to fill a thread page! It would be nice to put a small pic in there though...

I find picture sigs distracting and unorganized looking. But, on topic, I usually just put whatever comes to mind in my sig, and i haven't really heard anything really funny. I usually put quotes from certain comics, or from southpark (so many quoteable quotes).

I'd put in one of my pictures sigs if I could. Like my goldplated megaman one from another forum I'm on but then I'd have to change it to say h4x.m4g3 instead of my other screen name.
oh yeah here (http://img16.photobucket.com/albums/v48/the-evil-geek/goldplate.gif) ypu go

I like having goofy quotes in my signature. ^^ I really liked the one I had previously: "Multiple exclamation points are a sure sign of a diseased mind" but I thought it was time to change.

I would go back to my Che Quote or use some other comic book quotes or those from movies. Clever it is not but it amuses me.

My favourite sig quote belonged to ClesJessa: "Prisoner's will be shot. Survivors will be shot again" Something close to that, and without my horrible spelling. I just didn't want to steal it.
My current sig is good enough, though the end of the month is coming, I need to find another webcomic.

Heheh. Really? It's good to know somebody liked at least one of my goofy sigs. "Tresspassers will be shot. Survivors will be shot again."

That's it. I'm weird, I like to read all of the sig's, and pick out funny ones.

I just notice I NEVER read anyone's sig (besides this thread). Does anyone read them on a regular basis?

I tend to take a quick look. But I tire of the 'ego' sigs in Gaia where they put everything nice people have said about them. Or the ones that simply say 'fuck you' or something to that effect. It's like people can't even think of a nice quote or song lyrics to stick in there for a bit.
I try to go for comedy, meself

Well, I already said I did, so I won't say it again. Wait... Crap! I just did didn't I.
The way I feel about it is, if no one reads them, there isn't a point in having them. So I do. Almost everyone. Its like an addiction, I can't stop.

So that's where it came from. I had the quote in my big list 'o quotes, but I could never find where it was actually from.
And I usually read sigs, usually more if it's a quote rather than links to banners or whatnot. (I'll look at those from time to time too, but the quote ones are the ones that catch my attention.)
And I like doing humorous quotes in my sig because who knows if it will make somebody's day a little better, or make somebody chuckle. Plus they're fun. ^^ (and I'm generally a goofy person, so funny quotes suit me better)

I like to mix up my sigs, but this time around I went with a more profound quote from the original Soul Calibur. I should change it soon, though...
I remember at the GameFAQs Soul Calibur 2 Gamecube board, people made all these bloopers. One such blooper is where they replaced the word "sword" with "beer," so it came out like this:
A soul desires a beer, and a beer desires truth.
That's a siggable quote right there, if anyone needs it...

I choose mine because it would (maybe) help out a webcomic I liked(and the current one is extremely funny and needs more readers.), and let me put something funny in there too.

I read everyone's sig at least once, then usually never look at it again until they change it.
As for what I would have in my signature, longer RvB quotes. I always get the 500 character limit.

I usually like to insert a Sig that is lyrics to the particular song I listen to a lot nowadays.
However, I have also inserted Sigs that go with my Avatar, as well as quotes from my script: The Matrix, Loaded Again.

i like what I wrote....I would do a picture one, but I would have to go through the effort of doing one in PAINT or something cuz I am too lazy to re-install Photoshop.
My avy is what I wanted to use as my sig though......

I did when we had images that caught my eye.
Now, here, there's been a whole lot of 8-bit Theatre or other quotes tossed into signatures that I'll admit to glossing over most of them. There are several people whose I continue to enjoy reading, such as RaiRai's. Kind of like you and your avatars.
Once in a thread that I actually follow enough times to return to it, I'll have read more of them. It's then that I notice signatures I've previously glossed over.

You're right, I used to read sigs a lot more often when there was an image there to catch your eye with. I used to have a little BM/metool gif in my sig. That was way back in the TopWebComics days.
