Alien V.S. Predator

This is the AVP thread for the upcomming V.S. Movie. Dont turn the discussion into a battle, thats for the V.S. thread. This is a thread for the movie only. As far as i can tell, there is a big Aliens and Predators war and the humans are stuck in the middle of a battle of atleast one of each species.

This movie already had a thread for itself, but oh well...

Story of said movie is that Preds and Aliens are at war, most likley for a long time, and the humans find an old temple in Antartica under the ice. Some rich guy pays a bunch of poeple to go investigate it. The temple is a alien temple (I think, since they find eggs there), and Preds are there to kill the aliens. The humans just get stuck in the middle (Many mentions of them being used as bait in trailers).

I saw a trailer for it a few days ago, along with some commercials that are starting to air. It looks pretty good so far, but only the movie reveiwers can tell us what it's really going to be like.

I'm just guessing on the plot but knowing that Humans have to win, it'll be the Humans finding the eggs and awaken them, Predators show up, the two meanies start to fight (many non-important Humans get caught in the crossfire), a hot chick and some dumbass guy find a bomb or something in the temple's basement and set it to explode, as they make it to the surface, dumbass gives his life, chick escapes, bomb explodes, killing everything BUT the girl.

I heard somthing about the war betwene Aliens and Predators being under the arctic ice. Is that true?

Actually, I saw a behind the scenes thing, and it said that the Predators were hunting the Aliens for a coming-of-age thing. So the Predators were bascially breeding them for that purpose.

I just watched the behind the scenes.

Predators came to earth a long time ago and helped the humans build the pyraminds. The pyraminds are alien breeding grounds, every 1000 years the predators send 5 teenage preds to the pryaminds. Those 5 have to fight and surivive, and if they do, they become men. So aliens are being bred by Predators for coming of age rituals.

Also, that one scene were the a big explosion happens, that's when the predators lose. 3 vs. 1000s, so they use their self destruct devices and blow everything up.

well... the predators have been hunting aliens for a hella long time. and wut they do is hunt aliens at this temple which is indeed under the ice. and they go hunting and to prove that they're "down" they go hunting aliens with only their wrist blades and their spears. their visions get blocked out cept their normal ones.and the predators have to kill the aliens and get their skulls as proof. and then these humans come to the temple and then the predators use them as bait. and then all this shiet happens and then it becomes a war. and in the trailer there is this huge explosion which i wanna how the hell it happened.

The explosion are other Predators (Not on earth) who are taking the same test, but the temple had thousands of aliens in it, and they were getting killed, so they used their self destruct wrist bombs, blowing up the temple (Along with everything around it)

And they don't prove that they are 'down', it's a coming of age ritual... And no, they have more then their wrist blades and spears. In the trailer a Predator uses a net gun on a human, then cloaks and leaves.

The main protagonists are Lex, an Antartic guide, and Scar, a Predator. The main villians are the aliens, specifiaclly the queen and the alpha male. That big ass explosion is a predator contingicy weapon.

How are those major spoilers? All that stuff is mentioned in the Making of the Monters and AVP: New Blood The Characters video (Not the alien thing, but that is a given).

Not quite. Similar but not quite. Remember Scar is a GOOD guy.

...sigh... wut i said was not about the movie...well some of it is. but most of wut i said is from the friggin comics man. i actually read the avp comics.
