I have some news. Cause of my connections to Square Enix, I was able to convince someone to make Sword Chucks for the game. Thats right, SWORDCHUCKS.

If you want one, there will be a tournement for them in the Shiva server, 7:00 PM Saturday. The Derfland Region south of The Grand Duchy of Jeuno. Look for the player Kaori.

BE THERE OR BE SQUARE (ENIX)

*Note: there will be 1 for each server. I will post when I get an update.

If only I had FFXI. I had to talk the person into doing it. It seems the people at Square Enix love 8bit too. I told Kaori and she showed some of her workers.

The actual in-game model of the Sword-Chucks isn't quite done yet. I was hoping for some refrence for color. If someone could give me the comic number it would be much apreciated.

Yes the eymployees of SE are big fans of 8-Bit. Some of us have t-shirts.

Edit: If you want to know how then...

First I'll create the weapon. Pixel by pixel. Adding texture and details...then I'll color those pixels. I'll save it to a disc. Go down to theserver comp and import the weapon onto file char.//Kaori.inv.slo.6 and it will be on my character....then whoever wins...i'll trade it to them. Easy as that.

I used to play FFXI. Fun game for a few months but when it started to take away from School work and I got a couple C's in Math I had to stop. Sword-Chucks in the game however sounds awesome. Just want to know what job? I'd guess WAR, PLD, and/or NIN and faily high level requirement. I can see a few other jobs using them but those three make most sence (To me at least). I'd like to see some screens/vids of people using them though, I mean while they are sword cucks I doubt there'll be a bunch of cool tricks and stuff, like to see what two attack things would be used. However one thing... what type of weapon are they? Sword makes since (Duh) but they would be two handed (Hopefully). I can see them acting as Katanas but then only Ninja's could use them, inless there is some sort of special acception for these weapons where they act as Katanas but registered as Sword.

Well since I dont want to shun the mages from this It will be compatible to all jobs and races. Theres no footage yet because I have yet to import them to my characater. Soon possibly.

Seems to me the higher-ups wouldn't like for their programmers to just add things to the live servers all willy-nilly.

I am one of those "higher ups." But I also am a high-level player/admin of the game and I would like to keep it interesting. Not only by making completely new areas for high level characters (Like in the Chains of Promethia expansion) but adding little events when I can.

Also can someone just tell me the color? If I dont get this done then there wont be a tournament.

Oh and Klyco...I never said anything about 1 for each server....

Boy, was I surprised to hear that kind of deal could go so far without me knowing anything about it.

I cancelled my account when I was a level 42 DRG because it would take over 6 hours to get into a party, then another hour for it to fill up, then another hour to find a place to hunt, and then we'd play for 30 minutes before the WHM would leave and we'd have to start over.

At this same time, CoH came out and the solo-ing and grouping in there is MUCH better.

Ya. I dont have FFXI my self. 1: I would cost to much to upgrade my comp. 2: I dont want to spen 100 on a hardrive for the PS2.

So I bought Lineage 2, which is from the same people who brought you City Of heroes.

Instead of wasting my time answer all of your "GIVE US PROOF" questions i'm going to say this. If you want to see if this is real, Show up at the time stated above at Shiva server. Its not going to kill you.

IMPORTANT: I'm moving the time of the tournament from Saturday at 7:00 to Sunday at 7:00.

And about before when I said pixels are what made 3-D objects I ment polygons. Sorry I was sidetracked. Human Error.

But in this instance, it doesn't seem particularly difficult to prove. There are ways; corporate email addresses [though that would be asking a lot], corporate profiles, your whole title. Even simple explanations for your inconsistencies would do much. Again, I apologize, but you're not very convincing.

Yeah, what's the worst that can happen. I mean, its not like a highly-leveled character can kill a bunch of innocent player characters who showed up for some scam.

Nobody bothered to show huh? Despite ambiguous directions at best. I don't play but I imagine a region can be pretty huge, and I didn't hear of any advertisement outside of this forum alone, of which not that many people play FFXI, and those who do might not even be ON Shiva server.

the only person on this board thats ever been on the shiva server is theinfernalstorm. so i dont think its any use advertising on this forum. however, if kaori is a higher up, she should be able to switch her character to a different server, or make a character on a different server and set it at a high enough level.

and im still curious as to how there will be a tournament? as far as i know, PvP hasnt been implimented yet. and im disappointed that kaori has stopped showing up. i hope everyone didnt scare the young girl off.

They've had PvP for a while. You go to an arena and battle three-on-three, though, not like the traditional MMORPG PvP. But maybe this one is like a monster torunament or something; you fight like in the FF7 Gold Saucer battle arena.

Remember, I'm a higher-exec at SEUSA. I already displayed what the sword-chucks will look like and what the arena looks like. Didn't you get it the first time?

In the "screenshot" that is clearly of a video game the character is not one that is able to be made or garbed that way in any FF Game as far as I have seen yet.

In the characters hand is a twinbladed Lightsaber, Golden Hue, you'd think someone trying this hoax would at least have chosen an FF Blade design to make the fake.

And if it were someone from Squaresoft you would expect they could at least have gotten Graphics from Squaresoft Games.

Even I can get graphics from Squaresoft games and I have yet to play any game newer than FF VIII but I can still get decent graphics from the Square-Enix web site.

Even MS Paint would have been able to copy and paste in 2 daggers or short swords and connect the handles with chain. It would be hard but more believable that that attempted screenshot.

Are the readers of this thread blind or just suckered in by an Akbaresque ploy maybe just seeing the link lead to an image was enough. . . .

I know not.

But I still hope that someone was on the level and if not connected with Square-enix is a good enough hacker to work in the weapon in a way all could see.

That's my take on this we'll see what is what by Friday.

My God. I know sarcasm is sometimes difficult to detect on the Internet, but it can't possibly be that difficult. This happens far too often; I think we should just go ahead and invent a sarcastic or 'just kidding' font. It should be a little jagged, a little liquidy, and a little obvious. And yellow.
