View Full Version : Inferno's arrival to the 8-bit theater world

Inferno
08-01-2004, 11:55 PM
Inferno, Bahamut's eldest son of 14 children, looks down off of the edge of his floating island home. his floating island is filled with trees and crystal clear lakes. at the center of his island in the clouds was an enormus palace dedecated to the dragonic race and his father Bahamut. This palace has great spires that reach to heven itself as they tower over the island's landscape. the brics that hold this palace together are made from the finest gold and silver known to man and the front gate to the palace is the purest platinum on the face of the planet.

Inferno himself stood about 6' 2", 6' 5" if you measured to the tip of his crimson red horns. his spikey hair is scarlet red, his face looks human except for his firey yellow eyes. he has a semi-muscular build with reletively normal features that appear human with the exception of his fingers ending in crimson claws and his feet being those of a dragon, as well as the crimson elbow spikes and knee spikes. his dragon tail is about 2 feet long and a brown monky tail also grew from him that wraped itself aroud his waist as sort of a belt to keep his tattered bluejean shorts, his only cloathing, from falling down. Inferno's dragonic wings were also scarlet like his hair, their span from one tip to the other tip is about 7 feet. Inferno's scaley skin was orange like the fire that burns within him. tied to his jeans is a katana sheathed in a flame red and ice blue sheath laidened with gold trim.

Inferno took a deep breath and leaped off of his floating Island home diveing through the clouds to the earth below. he spread his wings and flew towards the town of Corneria where he would meet humans for the first time in his life. ( :fighter: :rmage: :thief: :bmage: maybe even running into these four if lucky enough)

as Inferno approached Corneria his body was envelloped in flames from his high speed flight to the city. Inferno slowed his flight and with a flap of his wings the flames had dispersed. Inferno glided into town and landed near ye olde weapons shope. Inferno looked around for anyone to talk to to tell him where he had landed.

"Lousy wand," Inferno turned just as a pale woman in blood-red robes brushed past angrily. Sensing the stranger's stare, the woman turned around, glaring at him with fierce, golden eyes.
"What?" said the woman, eyes blazing with fury, "have you also come to harrass an honest dark mage with your 'delightful' objects of fantasy and obvious distaste?" she demanded at the creature, her hands tingling with dark sparks of magic.
The draconic figure looked slightly taken aback at the abrupt outburst.

Inferno: oh, no madam, I came to explore this world below the clouds. see I come from a floating island inhabited entirely by dragons and I came here to learn about humans personally. allow me to introduce myself, I am prince Inferno, eldest son of Bahamut and the second bourn of his fourteen half dragon children. umm... could you tell me what town I have landed in? I'm not that familiar with the human world and I kind of need directions to the dragon embasy. eh heh... *sweatdrop*

Inferno smiled at the red robed woman hoping that she wouldn't hurt him for what he said.

The woman paused a moment before replying, eyeing a mage in a blue robe and a shadowy face attempt to inflict more than the maximum stab wounds onto a pitiful guard. Damned undergraduate, she cursed :bmage: silently.
Turning back to Inferno, she replied just as icily, "This place (may it be damned by hell itself) is called Corneria. Where you have landed, there are pickpockets and scammers everywhere. Where I just came from," she indicated the charred ruins of a magic store (not cheap magic!), "is a place of so vile intent that I had to blast it to oblivion, taking many innocent lives in the process." All this came out in a nonchalant explanation. "You will find nothing of interest here," she added bitterly.
"Uhm... do you have a name, human?" Inferno dared to ask the smouldering black mage. The woman looked slightly distracted.
"What? Oh. sorry, was still thinking of their nice screams while they burned," she said. She stuck out a hand, which was gloved with some dark material, "I am called Myrra. You are supposed to shake my hand," she added acidly when Inferno looked confused.

Inferno shook the black mage's hand and smiled at her a bit uneased by her dark spirit.

Inferno: oh, a pleasure to meet you Myrra. um, actually I wasn't entirely honest with you earlier about my reason for being here. you see my father sent me here to find the four light warriors of legend, he wants to see them in person and he has a quest for them to take. have you seen any of them?

Inferno removes a sketch from his pocket and hands her the slip of papper with the sketches of the four light warriors.

:fighter: :bmage: :thief: :rmage:

Inferno: If you could tell me where any of them might be I would appreciate it very much miss Myrra.

"Hmm... one of them is a dropout in dark wizarding, hell-bent on killing everybody in the entire world. Another is a stat freak, constantly attempting to change his abilities. The third has the maturity of a 5 year old, and a brain smaller than the size of a pea, and the last one is a thieving, lying bastard who has signed the others' souls to be legally bound to him forever. Yep, I've seen them. They won't be of much help, though," Myrra said, her acidic tone never lessening (well... she wouldn't be a black mage if she wasn't that crabby, would she?). Seeing Inferno's confused look, she added, in a softer tone (she's feeling sorry for him... but just a little) "They're in the vague and general direction of north. You will either find them in trouble from a random encounter, or trying to backstab each other with words and long knives. Personally, I wouldn't bother finding them. They do things by pure luck," Myrra made a disgusted sound, "that, and that all of them a morons with no common sense. Oh," she added, "and watch out for a white mage with a faithful follower with the name of Black Belt. They are tricky folk that are always spying on the four you wish to run after." Without saying anymore, she left the confused Inferno to search for and obliterate any survivors that crawled out of the wand shop she had just left.

Cy had been in the weapon shop next door, gazing at the masterfully crafted blade that he held in his hand. As he gazed at it, a small smirk formed on the corners of his mouth as he looked at the man behind the counter with his grey-blue eyes, "I'll take it" he said a bit happily and payed the man and slowly slid it into its scabbard, slowly moving the leather belt around his chest to safley secure it on there and slowly slid his shield into place. He was an elf from a small forest nearby, not much was left of his old village, but thats for later. He stands at 5' 7" with jet black hair to his shoulders and warm grey-blue eyes, he wore a long black hooded cloak that went to his ankles and black chainmail and simple pants and weather worn boots of long travel that could be seen in them.

As he turns on his heel to leave a loud thundering explosion comes from next door. Cy slowly creaks the old wooden door open and gazes out into the sunlight to see a red robed mage storming away furiously. He held back his laughter at the sight, nothing could have been more amusing than a furious mage nuking a magic store that sold junk anyways. As he slowly stepped out he gazed at the half dragon and sighed, another one, just what he needed, he had a bad past with dragons and wasnt ready to trust them. As she left him for the smoldering ash of the magic store, Cy slowly crept his way over to her and sighed, gazed down at the smoking ashes and then looking at the mage, "nicely done I have to say, how many did you kill?" he said humerously as he sat down on a large piece of wall that was left behind.

Not finding anything odd about the way Cy said it, she answered nonchalantly, “I had to break the storekeeper’s leg to keep him from fleeing his shop, but I estimated about oh, 50. No wait, 51,” she added as she spotted a survivor and made him burst into screaming flames. She sighed, “Ahhh, now that’s much better.” Anger released, Myrra turned her smouldering amber glare on the stranger that addressed her. She immediately recognised the elven blood coursing through the creature’s veins. She flicked a stray wisp of deep red hair from her pale, finely chiselled face. The dark hair shone with dark inner grace and beauty, sinisterly glowing red in the light of the sun. Standing tall and proud, she eyed the elf in front of her, her eyes the same level as the elf’s.
The elf stuck out a hand.
“The name’s Cy. I’m passing through,” he said in a conversational manner. Myrra took the hand roughly.
“Myrra.” Her flat tone ended the conversation that could’ve started. Then, without turning around, she flicked out a hand and wiped out another survivor of her nuke, causing a bit of still-standing plasterboard to collapse on the helpless victim.
“That makes 52, I’m guessing?” Cy said.
“Glad to see you can do your maths,” Myrra replied dryly, “but I think it’s time for me to leave. I ‘think’ I’ve attracted a little bit of attention,” she added when some guards started showing up.

Will was walking towards some shops to borrow some items he would need when he saw a group of guards preparing to arest a woman who had apparently blown up the magic shop. Better make sure the don't drop anything. as he walked over he saw that there were more people besides the black mage (as he guessed by her manner) there was a guy with a sword and a guy who looked to be half dragonic. He walked over there and began relieving the guards of there weopons "so they could walk freely." he was already used to working silently. he had, had to do so since he was young because his parents had not wanted a scrawney baby as he was still so because of that he had needed to find a Job better suited to his phisyic. he maneged to empty most of the guards belonging and was begining to walk away.

Myrra faced a couple of red-faced guards, and watched without emotion as a thin man slipped behind the guards to relieve them of their weapons. She grinned as he winked at her before walking away. Peh, serves the bastards right, her mind revelled. She was feeling destructive again, but quelled her fiery desire. Instead, she just threw a thunderbolt in their general direction before striding off.

Inferno decided to heed the black mage's advice to head north towards corneria castle to find the light warriors. Inferno thought it best to not be around if guards were involved, he didn't want an international incident to occur after all.

Inferno continued north with still no sign of the light warriors. so instead of going on to the castle Inferno walked into the local inn to inquire about the whereabouts of the light warriors and for a good rest from his tireing flight here.

Inferno greeted the inkeeper and asked him for the royalty suiet. he told Inferno that the room was 500 gil a night. Inferno, a bit surprised at the cheapness of the room gladly payed the 500 gil and went to the top floor with the room key in hand. he unlocked the room and stepped inside. now he knew why the cost was so cheap, this suite was a dump!

Inferno:

after the initial shock he sat on the bed thinking about what to do next to find the light warriors.

“I see you have fallen into the trap,” the cold, now familiar voice made Inferno look up in evident surprise.
“How did you---?” he started.
“Service here was always lousy. Privacy is even worse,” Myrra leaned by the open window, red robes billowing in the breeze that found its way into the room. “They should’ve charged you less than 100 gil for the room. You got ripped off,” she added. Noting Inferno’s evident confusion, Myrra merely shrugged and rolled her eyes. “You interest me, Inferno,” she said, refraining from using his title, “if you fail to gain the attention of the ‘light warriors’, and if I may be of any assistance to whatever quest you have, you may ask and I will grudgingly accept,” she said with low humour.
“That’s very kind of you to offer,” Inferno began, and Myrra immediately knew what was next,” but my father has requested the aid of the light warriors
“Pah!” Myrra snorted, “Your father is in for a nasty surprise, even to my standards,” Myrra chuckled darkly. “They are bungling fools. Their loyalty to one another is only a thin thread that rests upon imminent riches once they have completed (or screwed up) a quest. They are cowards, running at the sign of danger. They attempt to kill themselves more than try to kill the enemy. No offence intentionally meant, but if you wish to hire their expertise, you are a fool.”

Cy smirked as she walked off, he sighed and watched the guards for a moment, not seeming to be able to quite grasp what was going on, nonethless the lightning bolt. Cy slowly walked passed them and flicked a gold coin up into the air, as they gazed up stupidly, Cy quickly cut they're gold bags from they're belts and tied it to his, patting the gold that he had just aquired, 1 for what seemed to be atleast 300, Cy made his way for the inn, hoping to get some dinner as nightfall was quickly reaching him.

He slowly opened the creaking door as the night sun nestled itself into the mountains, bearing a nice sunset. Cy slowly closed the inn door and walked towards the bar, ignoring the usual barfights and sat down at the bar and ordered himself an ale. As he slowly sipped it he gazed around, and sighed, finishing his ale and buying himself one of they're cheap and horrible rooms for 10 gold, never knew why but he did. He threw his backpack down on the ground and gazed out of his window, leaning on the window sill and watching the sunset, "wow" he whispered to himself, "the only good thing about Cornelia is the sunsets and the nature itself, the city needs to be destroyed in my opinion" he said softly to himself, gazing out the window, slowly turning his head to see red robes and red hair fluttering out the opposite window, he smiled and turned back to the sunset.

Inferno looked at Myrra and smiled at her.

Inferno: oh, Myrra, It's not that I want their help, it's that I have to have their help. my father wants to see them for some reason so they have to see him. If I don't find those supposed fools then my father will kill me! well maybe not dad, but my mom will. anyways I...

the sound of Black mage yelling at the inn keeper downstairs can be heard from my room. and then an exclamation of "SWORDCHUCKS YO!!!" could be heard comming from the weapons shop.

Inferno: is that them Myrra?

the sound of Lit-3 was heard from downstairs as a flash of yellow light filled the stairway outside my room. I rush downstairs to see what's going on and sure enough there was the black mage I was looking for.

(on a side note, in Real Life he's my favorite character ^_^)

Cy slowly makes his way downstairs and sits on the bottom stair and gazes at Black Mage, "nice work Black Mage, a bit overcooked dont you think?" he chuckles softly once more and awaits Black Mages answer.

(and no there was no sign up, go ahead ^_^)

Aeryn had been watching the Light Warriors for some time now, and he was only moderately surprised that others had also been observing them, or required their services. The half-drow black mage stood out in a crowd with his pale hair, dark skin, and slightly pointed ears....for this reason he disguised himself with a hooded midnight-blue robe, though up close his hood failed to hide his startling emerald-colored eyes. He had obtained a lavish room across from the half-dragon's....though he had paid far less for it (threats can get you far....particularly when you can back them up;)), and had even "convinced" the innkeeper to clean it up. He heard the commotion downstairs, and sauntered down to see what the hell was going on.

meanwhile...the angry, grumbling Black Mage pushed past Cy and Inferno, going into his own room and locking the door by the time Aeryn got there. The dark wizard laughed, understanding his predicament, and went back upstairs....on the way, he noticed a woman in a red dress. He could sense that she was another practitioner of the dark arts, and he greeted her with a slight smile, his white teeth flashing in the dim light of the windowless hallway.

Myrra returned the fellow dark-follower with an equal bare of her teeth. She preferred not to call it a smile, as she believed in no such thing. The cold never left her fierce golden eyes. Then, with nothing much to do, she nuked an already nuked innkeeper and took the keys to another room. Might as well find a place to sleep here.

“And I’m a black sorceress on a petty rampage,” she replied calmly.
“Uh, I believe that you have a name?” was his question. Myrra eyed him coolly.
“I’m very aware of what you have asked beforehand, Aeryn,” she said. Instead of sticking out her right hand, which she had done on the other occasions, she raised her left hand, her cloak sliding open and revealing the marks on her palm. Grinning icily at Aeryn’s intake of breath, she spoke. “Well, aren’t you going to be polite and shake?”

Inferno followed BM to his room and knocked on BM's door. Black Mage, thinking it was room service, opened the door and saw the half dragon prince standing at the door.

Black Mage: what do you want? oh wait I know how about some FIREY DEATH!!!!

Black mage cast Fire-3 on Inferno, but the flames were absorbed into Inferno's body and only made Inferno stronger.

BM: eh? why aren't you dead?! no matter a good stab will do the job.

BM draws his knife and attempts to stab Inferno, but the Half Dragon Prince quickly drew his katana and swung it once and sheathed it again all in one fluid motion. the knife in BM's hand was knocked down the hall and a girl's shriek was heard from down the hall.
White Mage and Blackbelt stood petrafied with the blade of the knife stuck into the wall so close to their faces but the knife was between them.

BM: damn, you missed 'em!

Inferno: you wanted me to hit them?!

BM: nah, just the goofy looking guy next to white mage. so who are you?

Inferno: oh, right! my name is Prince Inferno, I'm Bahamut's eldest son mister Black Mage.

BM: Bahamut? never heard of him go away!

BM: hay babe, are you tired?
WM: no, why?

“Curse that ruckus!” Myrra threw in another few bits of coloured language before withdrawing her hand, dismissing the handshake that was to be. A shadow of disappointment crossed Aeryn’s face, but Myrra ignored it and strode in the general direction of Black Mage.
But Aeryn was very lucky to not have touched the tainted hand. If he had, he would’ve burst into hell-flames that can only be put out by hell itself.
Her right hand flicked out and caught the robe of the now airborne mage as he flew past her. With an iron force, she slowed him down and swung him to his feet. Without pausing, Myrra floored him with a simple stay spell and berated him for ‘disrupting a peaceful day’

OOC: Oh, I might join in too. I've gone and concocted a character who I think may be fun.

From the next room can be heard a voice raised in arguement. "For the last time, I'm asking you. You obviously must be a dual class dragon/red mage/monk who's ingested a creature skills materia! Now you must tell me how you managed to multiclass into 3 different classes with no experience penalty. Its gestalt, isn't it? I know it is!"

Another voice replies in a menacing tone, "If you don't stop pestering me I'll show you the true power of blue magic."

"What? Show me."

"That's it. You ask for death!"

A bright flash of silvery light shines out from benath the door, accompanied by an unpleasant cracking sound. The door swings open, smouldering slightly, and a small dragon with scales of a mercury hue casually saunters out. As he flicks the door shut with his tail, a muffled voice saying, "I demand a saving throw." can be heard.

The approximately human-sized dragon glances at the others who are looking at him quizically and says, "Some kinds of red mage really irritate me." As they continue looking at him he tilts his head to the side, his smooth, shiny scales reflecting his surroundings, and says, 'Oh, you're wondering why an innkeeper allowed a dragon into his inn?" He pauses for a second and then continues, "I just told him I was an adventurer. You can call me Mercury by the way."

BM was hanging from a branch of the tree below the window when Inferno retrieved him and hauled his body back up to his room. Just as Inferno had put BM on one of the beds Fighter walked in and locked the door behind him. Inferno smiled at Fighter and greeted him with a friendly tone.

Inferno: hi, I'm Inferno. You must be fighter, I'm pleased to meat you.

Inferno extends his clawed hand as a token of friendship and fighter shakes his hand egarly.

Fighter: hi, I'm fighter, and I like swords! say, nice sword you got there Inferno.

Inferno: why thank you, it's a legendary class Katana called the Inferno blade. a friend of mine forged it for me. this baby can channel fire and release the stored up fire energy as a highly concentrated beam of fire.

Fighter: SWEET!!! so why is the window broken and why are my friends knocked out?

Inferno explains to fighter who is stairing blankly off into space not hearing a word Inferno says.

Inferno: got it?
Fighter: I like swords!

Inferno smacks himself in the forehead and thinks to himself "I wanted the light warriors and I have an idiot, a psycho pervert, a mage obsessed with his character sheet and rules, and a kleptomaniac. It's going to be a long journy."

While everyone is introducing themselves, Mercury can sense the precipient feeling of a group of individuals joining to become a party and, looking around, isn't quite sure that he likes what he sees. Then again, black mages always had the most fascinating spells and a tendency to use them on their comrades. He could always use more blue magic. And they all did seem nice enough, in their own twisted ways. He'd want to keep an eye on his bag of holding while that thief was around though.

Delibrately eyeing Will hungrily Mercury says, "Perhaps he's just naive. Then again not many people know about quicksilver dragons. Usually the dragon part's easily understood though. Let me guess, seeing that there's someone running around for people to go on some quest, you - deciding there's some loot to be had - thought you'd see if you could tag along?"

"Being anywhere near a Black Mage is dangerous, waele." Aeryn laughed, "If you're so concerned with your chances for survival, then run away, and don't stop until you are FAR away from here!" the half-drow's eyes flashed, "As a matter of fact, it's far more likely that you're here in some misguided attempt to steal from us....and you can't possibly imagine the torment you will undergo if you try." he drew himself to his full height, dark power seeming to radiate from him like static electricity from a storm, his eyes glowing with an eerie green light.

But Myrra wasn't listening. She had far more worries than this petty squabble of scrolls. She wasn't interested at all in what the thief had to say. He spelt caution anyway. Ahh well, she might as well play along.
Feigning mild curiosity with a mixure of fury and evil malignent plotting, she demanded, "And now why should we deal? I can very easily nuke you and take the scrolls anyway. In fact," she drew herself up as well, darkness emanating from her fierce golden eyes, "I might as well carry out my threat," she stretched out her right hand, power crackling. IC: Solaris, an Avariel knight in brilliant golden armor, brushed past a bartender at the inn. His huge sword, strapped to his back, glinted in the dim torchlight, and he shoved his way up the stairs and shoved aside Cy. Looking into the room, he frowned. "A congregation of petty criminals," he murmured, holding up a crossbow and lighting a cigar. He shot a quick glance at Inferno and forcefully pushed Cy into the room. "You, I've never seen before, nor do I care." He gestured towards the Light Warriors. "I'm placing these men under arrest for murder, thievery, extortion, and manslaughter. All involved will be held! The disturbance made their heads turn towards Solaris. Myrra raised an eyebrow as he announced the arrest.
"And how," she said in a cool, detached voice (which surely meant more nuking/stabbing/murder/vandalising/etc), "do you expect to arrest us? We have here --" she pointed to Mercury, "--a blue mage--" she indicated the scroll-holder "--a petty thief that we were about to exterminate and--" she indicated herself and Aeryn "--two black mages that don't need to blink twice to consider killing you in the most torturous way possible. "Looks like your ancestors had you well-versed in the arts of torture. But the acid idea has already been done. Scorpions?” she mused for a moment, “I prefer flesh-eating scarabs. I recall watching a mummy summon them for just the purpose.”
Just then, Cy promptly retaliated from the rough shove he received. “Ah, look at that! Here we are, talking about the pitiful creature’s demise, when we could’ve acted upon our words!” she exclaimed with obvious annoyance. She channelled a bit of her fury into her open hand, transmuting a bit of air into a scuttling beetle the size of a nickel. It glittered brightly as it gnashed nasty-looking mandibles, yet settled docily in her hands. “Now this,” she grinned devilishly, “will be torture.” She held the scarab beetle gently in her hand, and prepared to fling it onto Solaris.

"Oh, hell yes!" Myrra retorted, "I wouldn't leave out such a significant detail like that! Although," she licked her lips, "I've concocted a strand of poison just for the purpose of torture. Extremely painful, and completely immobilises the victim save for the vocal chords and mouth."
"Paralysis eh?"
"And there's a catch," Myrra added as she flung the beetle in the general direction of Solaris, giving it a single order to gnaw on the unfortunate victim's body, save for the head, "If the victim survives the initial unbearable pain and agony, they cannot die until somebody beheads them. It's something like a curse and poison all wrapped up in one nice bundle. If you are one of the few lucky ones to get into my good books, I might even share the secret formula with you."

As the scarabs were flung towards him he caught one in a gauntleted fist and crushed it. He then unsheathed his sword and slashed the second in half. In the middle of this action, he booted Will hard in the stomach, sending him flying backwards. Solaris pulled another crossbow and pointed them at the Black Mages. "Because I'm an inquisitor devoted to capturing practitioners of evil magic, such as yourselves. Any magical spell cast on me will be deflected back at the caster. Myrra had expected some sort of retaliation, and smugly stood under the collapsing room. It soon was clear that she had expanded a powerful force field of some sort, and whatever fell down directly above her was averted and thrown randomly away.
Aeryn's immediate reaction of throwing a level 3 ice bolt made her raise an eyebrow.
"I can only use the poison once a day. That's the drawback. It's a highly skilled weapon, but obviously, a new antidote to it is to just burn it out with holiness," she replied drily. She was not pleased that Solaris had found a way of ridding her poison. And not pleased made her rage boil.
"I will now live up to my name," she said softly. She casually flicked open the scroll, and it was evident that she had randomly (and luckily) chosen a strange summons spell. The ancient, faded writing on the scrolls glowed, collecting and condensing light.

Still, the glowing runes that carved themselves into the scroll faded in colour and intensity. She lowered the scroll and rolled it up with one deft flick of her wrist.
"Still, if it does kill him, we would want to make sure he's dead, right?" she said conversationally, noting the gleam of amusement in the fellow dark mages eyes.

Seeing that nobody was left, Solaris smiled. "Good. More blood for me." He returned to the Hall of Valor and approached it. The two door guards raised their weapons, and Solaris held up a spoon. The party begins. His gaze stunned them instantly, and went to work with the spoon. Having dealt with them, he kicked down the huge doors and disintegrated ten of the knights with a wave of his fiendish hand. He gazed at several more, and they screamed in terror as their skin began to peel from their bodies. The internal organs of the rest of them imploded, and all that was left of them were pieces of metal, shrapnel, skin, blood, bones, and thier hearts. He stood still, only his mouth moving. "I didn't expect you to react to the hearts in any way. Frankly, I expected you'd be pleased. Pity. A waste of the lives of fourty paladins." He flapped his wings and flew over to the fire, and it burned out when he neared it. The air became cold and icy, and a ball of blue flame appeared in Solaris's hand. He threw the ball into the air and watched it come back down and hit the spot where the fire had burned only moments before. It bust into a gigantic ice blue bonfire, towering over Solaris. The half-fiend floated into the air and began feeding the fire with huge pieces of wood, and the fire soon twisted itself into the shape of a doorway. Out of the fire came the head of a huge, horned demon, and Solaris dropped to the ground, causing the fire to die out. "This is my dream: to summon a creature powerful enough to conquer the world. "As for the dragons, they'll recieve, should they be willing to cooperate, all the mind slaves, food, equipment, and wealth as they wish." He picked up a robe and licked some of the blood off.

OOC: now THAT'S godmodding
BIC:Myrra leaned back, still seated, golden eyes flashing, unamused and even moreso unimpressed.
"Conquering the world is such a tempting idea," she said softly, a hint of something else in her voice, "but, since you killed my lover," she indicated the robe Solaris was licking, "I'll have a hard time deciding whether to co-operate or to tear apart the very fabric of time and space in order to destroy you utterly in revenge. I am not interested in magical items of importance at present, nor will I be. You have merely sealed my decision," she added. Then, slowly standing up, she lifted her left hand and drew a silvery symbol in the air. "Oh, and I'm unimpressed by your meagre act of flimsy power," she said flatly before stalking off into the woods.
OOC: new spell? Symbol of Concealing adds +4 to obscurity and makes it very hard to trace where she goes. Unless you guys follow immediately... that is. (aka, Rage is running awwaaaaaaay!)

Solaris smirked and licked more blood off of the robe. While not a vampire himself, he shared their desire for blood. "So delicious. A tragedy he couldn't live longer. Oh well, he blew himself up." He rose his voice in a hope that Myrra would hear. He threw the robe away and picked up another, licking it in the same fashion.

OOC: amen.....can we kill Solaris now?

IC: Aeryn raised an eyebrow, "Charming sense of diplomacy you have there, Bats" he rose, casting a Haste spell, and speeding off into the woods after Myrra. He caught up to her quickly, and asked her, "Was that really your lover he killed?"

OOC: If I did, the world would cease to exist. It's best to ignore him until he comes to his senses, and play fair.
BIC: "Yep. He stayed back to study further into the Arts of Sacrificial spells. I'd done a full degree on that already, so I left early," Myrra replied grimly, "But something tells me that I should wait for my rage to simmer down a bit before acting rationally. 'Sides," Myrra grinned vampirically, "it's not fun when there's no world left to conquer after exacting vengeance, is there?"

OOC: I might drop a potential quest into the mix.

Mercury uses his natural agility from being a quicksilver dragon to also keep up up with the two black mages. Sarcasm dripping from his voice he says, "Oh, such a wonderful offer. Help him conquer the world and then when he's king he'll reward us. Yes, I can just see that happening." Taking a moment to cast a spell to ward off scrying he continues, "If you really wish to revive your lover I did hear that there is a legendary Phoenix, which has the power to revive the dead that lives in the mountains around here. You might need a part of the deceased's body though."

OOC: Jaguar, for the love of all things holy and unholy, STOP GODMODING!!!

IC: "I didn't really care about him slaughtering anyone....but going after our kind has earned him my emnity." Aeyrn's eyes glittered menacingly, "His death is assured, now..." he heard the dragon's comment and looked over at him, a puzzled expression of his face, "Yes, a phoenix down will bring him back....good thought."

Ignoring both of their attempts to cheer her up a bit, she suddenly asked, "Uhm... What happened to that other dragon person? Inferno, I think his name was?"

OOC:btw where IS inferno?

OOC: I don't know. We could always use the private mesage thingy to find out.

Mercury also looks puzzled and sratches his chin, making a rasping noise before replying, "I think he's still buried in the rubble at the inn. That's a pity, I was meaning to ask him about that second tail of his."

"yeah, he's probably still buried" Aeryn said, considering, "I hope your beloved can keep up with the rest of us once we revive him....though I don't know where we're headed after that or how we intend to get there. I'm not even sure why I'm still traveling with you....there isn't anything for me to gain by it." he shrugged, "maybe I just needed a little excitement."

Will was talking his normal midnight walk "dropped" things appered more frequently at night he had just "found" when a person from the guard walked around the corner and saw him picking a man's pocket, he imediatley alerted the watch and they went after him. "Drat" thoght Will. "Better make a run for it he ran out of corneria and into the woods hoping to lose them among the trees.

OOC: o.O post count?
BIC: Myrra waved an impatient hand. "I do not tend to dwell on the past. I prefer the what's happening now," she sighed noisily through her nose. Damn, can't seem to shake these two, she thought inwardly.

"What? You expect us to leave just when it's getting good?" Aeryn asked, smirking. He looked at the forest around them, "If there are any wood elves in here, we may find ourselves under attack."

OOC: together we have posted more than 100 times and the modes think thats a good reason to close threads so we have to start a new chapter so lets tye up the loose threads.

IC:After Will left the guards behind he slowed to a walk "great now I have to stay in the woods until everybody calms down". Thoght Will. He was so wrapped up in his thoghts that he didnt notice the black mages until he was right next to them "oh hi I didnt expect to see you here, didnt expect to see anyone here for that matter." Said Will startled.

OOC: Who wants to start the new chapter?

Mercury looks at Will and does some quick mental calculations. In exchange for having to look out for the thief taking more than his fair share of any treasure they found he'd get a free meat shield, trap springer, decoy, trade good, sacrifice and possible trail ration. He'd always noticed that large groups tended to find more loot anyway.

"Well, we're headed for the mountains to find a phoenix with the power to revive the dead. We could use someone with your talents. If you come along we'll give you a share of any treasure we find."

OOC: I will
"Hmm... sounds intreasting yes I think I will join". He said. "Nothing left to do at town anyway". Said Will thinking about the comotion he had caused. "Can you give me a bit more detail on why were doing this and the chances there will acually be treasure involved in it?
