Friends, I fianly return, and with gifts!

Comic 30 is up and comic 31 is almost writen. Combine that with the fact that Mammothtank ins't computer illiterate like I am and doesn't mind doing my dirty work, and it all adds up to a bunch of well writen, well executed comics (aren't I arogant today).

Also, sorry to AB for the gag, but it was just too good to pass up. <_< >_>

I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to artwork. I had actually planned for the background in the "goth" comic to be more 8-bittish, as you can see by the goldfish bowl and the stereo, but I kind of got... carried away. Heh.

Me, Muave, Loyal, Meister and Newb will discuss on how we will do next, so inforation will arrive when readied. So just to make things clear: DON'T add a comic to the series until you have the consent of one of us first

You might want to consider spreading your text out just a bit, Loyal. The letters are very close together, which makes it hard to read. It would probably also help to heighten the contrast between contour and filling colour, especially on crowded backgrounds like you used in the comic before.

The cards look very nice and that's all I can say about them as I don't play the game. :p But great work nonetheless!

I used a search engine and found this site. (http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~oosting/basic/magic/magic_creation.php?l=eng) I just come up with an effect, paste a sprite onto a random background to upload as the artwork, and presto! Instant forumite card. It's fun. Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

Oh, I just noticed this...
What are the numbers at the bottom for?That is the creature's 'attack' and 'defense,' basically. The number to the left of the slash is Power, the amount of damage the creature can deal in combat. The number to the right is Toughness, the amount of damage the creature can take before it's destroyed. 2/3 is relatively weak, but what your card lacks in combat skills it makes up for in abilities; it can deal damage directly to either an opponent or his creatures on top of being able to regenerate and save itself from death. Well, in all honesty, I am a real lazy schmuck. I think I spend more time drawing comics than actually doing any serious schoolwork. But these days... they're just punishing me for all the non-work I've been doing in the past. And still my mind is able to retain the humor and the plotlines that I want to express in my comics.
Maybe some of us has the "talent." Others... well... they're not gonna make it. (Okay, that didn't sound quite right...)

As for me, I'm actually going to contribute to the NPF Comics Forum for once - with, as usual, a mediocre idea...

The idea would be that ApathyMan, as mayor, would deal with his constituency in solving their problems. If anyone wants to be represented in a comic, just make a request. You can ask ApathyMan to do just about anything... to change a rule on the forums... to make an avatar for someone... to get you a Pepsi... and he'll do whatever is necessary (with varying success) to get another vote. You could ask to be put into a comic without directly making a request, and I could whip-up something. Preference will be put to those who make specific requests to ApathyMan, though.

If anyone is interested, you could post now. However, I'll be on vacation all next week, and won't be able to put up anything soon. If you request sometime before Sunday, I might have it done for the next Monday.

Quick fact about that asylum comic: I was originally going to have a specific NP Member sprite sneaking away from the spray paint on the facade and snickering, but then realized that could be just about anybody here. So I just put it there and left you to wonder who it was.

A lot of people think of the color wheel in terms of elements, but it's more finely tuned than that.

Pure red, in essence, is emotion based. A red person is a person who likes total freedom to do whatever they want whenever they want. They believe that everything should be based on a person's feelings and detest order in preferance to chaos and the freedom that it entails.

Pure blue, in essence, is a willingness and drive to seek knowlage(sp?(The best I have on the computer is Notepad which doesn't have a spell check on it)). A blue person has an almost obsessive-compulsive need to know everything about the world around them. They always think things through before acting and have a good understanding of the ways of magic and technology as tools in their endevors. They are lovers of order, as it creates a good environment in which to observe and gather information and are generaly stoic and emotionless.

Obviously, nobody is going to be pure red or pure blue, but I think that FlareCobra is just a little closer to red.

EDIT: Oh yeah. Eternal Swordsman, did you make those from scratch? If so, kudos.

Well, if you had sprites, I have a role in Dynamite's Quest coming up that you would be perfect for, except that if you do have sprites, then I have never seen them and they are not posted in the Post Your Sprite Sheets Here thread.

Yeah, I actually wasn't very happy with how it turned out. The hair kinda caused it to get smeary, and so it eventually just got to the point where the more I tweaked it the worse it got. So I just had to do the best I could touching it up in Photoshop.

ES: that's a pretty impressive recreation of the tank to be done pixel by pixel!

Zutsu: Awesome first contribution. You've got a good eye for shading, too.

Yea, I think I took ApathyMan to an all new perspective. Since people always saw him as 8-bit, I just went into detail and realism. Personally, I can't wait to see what Demon's drawings gonna look like myself. I took his advice so I went to the camwhore thread. I found great pics of him that I could use as reference. I just need to know about the ninja thing.. I'll just look it up to save time.

Shiney, I bow to your awesome comic-y might. I seriously crack up every time I read it. It never fails. I was going to write about my favorite part, but that means I'd have to choose between watching you steal Brian's money, burst into flames, meet the creepy guy with the sombrero, or realize that Meister may or may not actually be Meister. Gentlemen, I think we've just been pwned by Shiney's evil comic powers.


And Skyshot, I must say that the "kidnapping" conversation was even more amusing in sprite comic form. Poor Meister and Patrat.

Regarding Meister and Patrat in my comic, I had them just run inside to get away from shiney (uh...), but Patrat's expression in the last panel was just feeling bad for Meister. I can hear Mauve's last line as this flirty, eyelash-fluttering kind of remark about how much better her new boyfriend is, hence the new "taking damage" sprite of Meister.

Hehe, thanks RMB, I'll be happy to draw your guy. Thing is, I actually draw to USE UP my time 'cause I have so much of it. You'll hafta wait though because someone beat ya to requesting me. So once I'm done with her drawing, I'll start on yours ;)

EDIT: (loves this function) I used Adobe Photoshop CS to color it. It takes an average 5-7 hours just to trace it over, color it, then add the shadowing. I just picture a lightsource and go from there to shadow. It actually takes WAY more time to color than actually drawing the picture I'm coloring..

3) To answer your question, this is what you must do: First, click on the "Go advanced" button just below the text box. It'll bring you to a more detailed post-writing format. Scroll down and click on the Manage Attachments button. Upload it from there, and if the file isn't too big, it'll show up when you post. If it is too big, go to Photobucket or something and upload it there, and then post the link it provides here.

The reason of course is becuase Meister is apparently making an extrainiusly long comic that is going to be fun for the whole family. I think it's still in the planning stages though.

Does anyone know why Imageshack makes my comics so large? I make them smaller than what comes out, and they're not supposed to be as wide as the default width of the posts. What's up with all that?
