Post the saddest thing about you. I don't mean like actually BOO-HOO sad I mean like so sad it borders on cool. Like this:
I can sing the entire Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song at will.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Heroes in a half shell,Turtle Power!
There the world's most fearsome fighting team,
We're really hip,
they're heroes in the half shell and they're green,
Hey get a grip,
when the evil Shedder attacks these turtle boys don't cut 'em no slack.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Splinter taught them to be ninja teens,
He's a radical rat,
Leonardo leads, Donatello does machines,
Thats a fact jack,
Rapheal is cool but rude,
Gimme a break,
and Micelangeo is a party dude,
PARTY!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, heroes in a half shell,
TURTLE POWER!"
Yep, I typed that from memory.

Okay,
1. I've watched Robin Hood Men in Tights so much I can recite the entire script.
2. I have the inane ability to spontantiously re-make lyrics to songs to suit my own misery. I do it a lot at work. I once completely remade "Barrets Privateers" to suit my work.
3. I can instantly tell you how many Turbolasers, Ion Cannons, Laser Cannons, and Starfighters are carried aboard almost any Ship in the Star Wars Universe... Sad.
4. I obsessively create CAW's in my new game WWE Day of Reckonning. I can make almost anyone you want. My creations include
Red Mage
Black Mage
Fighter
Ghandi
Link
Neo
Agent Smith
Agent Smitty
Gambit
Wolverine
Jadarendir
Myself
Ganondorf
Scorpion
Sub-Zero
Reptile
and Strong Bad.

Yes, but can you rap the entire 'Turtle Power' rap from the end credits of the first TMNT movie?
I've memorized the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, We Will Rock You, Fat Bottomed Girls, and Another One Bites the Dust and will proudly sing them out.
What about 'We Are The Champions'?
As for me, I can sing all the words to every song on the Tenacious D album, except for the ones that I can't make out what they're saying, and then I just sort of grunt it phonetically.

You read the Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels too eh, SAAM? OK, how about an interdictor and a dreadnaught? Not that there's any way for me to check (I lost that book awhile ago), but give it a go. I love watching genius at work.
On another note: gurusloth, think you can do the part in Inward Singing with the cussing? I only heard it once, but it was friggin' hilarious.
slightly aboveaverage man
10-10-2004, 08:11 PM
A Dreadnaught (Katana-class) has
10 Turbolaser Batteries
10 Quad Turbolasers
and 20 Turbolasers
it carries 12 starfighters
An interdictor cruiser is pretty weak, as it only has
20 Quad Laser Cannons,
8 Tractor Beam Projectors
however, some have been modified to have only 10 Quad Laser Cannons and and additional 10 Ion Cannons.
They also sport
12 Tie Starfighters
12 Tie ?'s (It changes from cruiser to cruiser. Some have Bombers some have Interceptors, and some have a second squadron of Starfighters)
Edit: and the essential guide was not reliable. It screwed up and had the schematics for the Victory Star Destroyer where the Imperial Star Destroyer should have been, and listed the Executer as 8000 meters long, whereas the true length is 12 500 meters.

~Bohemian Rhapsody~
Is this the real life-
Is this just fantasy-
Caught in a landslide-
No escape from reality-
Open your eyes-
Look up to the skies and see-
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy-
Because I'm easy come, easy go,
Little high, little low,
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me
To me
Mama, just killed a man,
Put a gun against his head,
Pulled the trigger, now he's dead,
Mama, life had just begun,
But now I've gone and thrown it all away-
Mama ooo,
Didn't mean to make you cry-
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow-
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters-
Too late, my time has come,
Sends shivers down my spine-
Body's aching all the time,
Goodbye everybody-I 've got to go-
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth-
Mama ooo- (any way the wind blows)
I don't want to die,
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all-
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the Fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-
Galileo, Galileo,
Galileo, Galileo
Galileo figaro-magnifico-
I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me-
He's just a poor boy from a poor family-
Spare him his life from this monstrosity-
Easy come easy go-,will you let me go-
Bismillah! No-,we will not let you go-let him go-
Bismillah! We will not let you go-let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go-let me go
Will not let you go let me go
No, no, no, no, no, no, no-
Mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go-
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me-
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye-
So you think you can love me and leave me to die-
Oh baby-Can't do this to me baby-
Just gotta get out-just gotta get right outta here-
Nothing really matters,
Anyone can see,
Nothing really matters-,nothing really matters to me,
Any way the wind blows...
If I weren't lazy, I'd post the actual song. But I happen to be lazy. Neener.

There's a guy in the sky
And wants to make you sigh
make you sigh like the time
that you fealt how your feeling all the time
And you'd sigh (cry in the text) at the cracks in the cieling all the time
And you say that you're fine but it doesn't realy rhyme
doesn't rhyme over seas
Which describes how you're feeling all the time
Which

How

ling
Which describes how you're feeling all the time
And you lie that your lifes unappealing all the time
but your lie doesn't rhyme
with the word "overseas"
overseas there's this guy
who describes how you're feeling all the time
in his mind he can find how you're feeling all the time
from behind distant lines
even straighter than his spine
which is fine
which is fine
And describes how your feeling all the time.

That may not be entirely correct, but I don't even speak japanese. I remember the entire opening theme song to Slayers, thats right! I CAN EVEN SING IT ON KEY! Albeit not in an high pitched japanese womans voice, but still pretty good.

Let's see...sad stuff...
I'm addicted go gummi bears. Seriously. I can't walk throught the supermarket which is about 3 blocks away from my house without the serious urge to go buy a bag.
In seventh grade, on a field trip, a friend and I quoted Monty Python and the Holy Grail word for word. I haven't seen this movie in years, but I can still do a good number of the lines.
The end of Godzilla 1985 made me cry the first time I saw it. I mean, they Kill Godzilla by making him fall into the volcano, and he gives that horrible scream at the very end! It depressed me!
On that note, I am a fan of Godzilla movies. So much so that I have three Godzilla action figures (Godzilla, King Ghidora, and Mecha-King Ghidora), a cool looking Godzilla-head thing (was a toy as well, it had a little city-scape in it, but I lost all the little pieces to it...and it looks better as just the head), and make it a point to record whatever Godzilla movie comes on TV...anytime.
I played "Dark Age of Camelot" for a day or two using the 30-day free period...I made a troll/ogre/whatever it was...and just ran around trying to challenge people to dance-offs using the "point" and "dance" commands.
Edit: I also have a set plan of what to do in case a zombie outbreak happens in my neighbor hood.

My friend and I used to recite the script to Monty Python and the Holy Grail whenever someone would put the movie on just to annoy them.
I've created all of my friends on Smackdown Shut Your Mouth (HCTP wasn't as good for CAW IMO) and myself.
I used to know the lyrics to a bunch of Wierd Al's songs including Amish Paradise, Like a Surgeon, Dare to be Stupid, Eat It, Fat, Pretty Fly for a Rabbi, and a bunch more.
I can identify most of the races in the Star Wars movies and tell you their planet of origin. I haven't done so in a long time though and need to brush up on the names of some of the planets and a few of the alien names.
I have set records on Mario Kart 64 while having one hand occupied between controlling the kart and eating pizza.
I have character sheets for D&D based on myself and my friends if we were to play ourselves.

Character generation is more than a pastime for me, it's an addiction. There's something just so wonderful about rolling up those stats, or filling in those dots...
I have a party of me & my friends in Temple of Elemental Evil, FFI, FFIIj, and of course we're all pro skaters in the Tony Hawk games. We routinely debate what class and level we all are, and I've been trying to figure out a good test to determine a person's stats. I've also converted World of Darkness characters to D&D, and D&D characters to WoD. I've worked extensively to create a dungeon that is a Dungeon Master unto itself, that will run sessions for a group of players, a sort of hybrid PC/tabletop RPG. Not quite there yet, I'm afraid to say...
I'm sure there's more. I am soo nerdy. Damn proud of it, but still, sooo nerdy...

RD mentioned obsessively rolling up characters, I too am addicted to character generation. In fact, I've probably spent more time making characters than playing with them, I always end up being the dm anyways.
sad= once spent a week creating a ninja monkey character, in which time i weeded through multiple possibilities for a plausible ninja monkey, and backed up all my stats with rules from major D&D rule books, only to have the monkey killed in the first scene it appeared in. He didn't even get to do anything, everyone asked me why I described the death of a monkey so passionately, I couldn't answer through the tears.

A Dreadnaught (Katana-class) has
10 Turbolaser Batteries
10 Quad Turbolasers
and 20 Turbolasers
it carries 12 starfighters
An interdictor cruiser is pretty weak, as it only has
20 Quad Laser Cannons,
8 Tractor Beam Projectors
however, some have been modified to have only 10 Quad Laser Cannons and and additional 10 Ion Cannons.
They also sport
12 Tie Starfighters
12 Tie ?'s (It changes from cruiser to cruiser. Some have Bombers some have Interceptors, and some have a second squadron of Starfighters)
Edit: and the essential guide was not reliable. It screwed up and had the schematics for the Victory Star Destroyer where the Imperial Star Destroyer should have been, and listed the Executer as 8000 meters long, whereas the true length is 12 500 meters.Actually, the Executor-class command ship (sometimes referred to by the nickname "Super Star Destroyer") is 17.6km long, based on scaling from the films and notes from the original model-makers. More information here (http://www.theforce.net/swtc/ssd.html). Unfortunately, the people in charge of a lot of the spin-off material didn't do their research properly, and based their length on a piece of promotional material that was released while the second movie was still in production, stating that the Executor was five times the size of a regular ISD, when it was eleven times the size in the actual films. That meant that many sources listed the Executor as 8km long, but over time more and more people became aware of the error so, as a compromise, Lucasfilm averaged the two figures for their listing on the official website, which is where the 12.8km length comes from. It's just as wrong as the old 8km figure, though.

Alright, I have two good ones. An Imperial Lambda-class shuttle, and a Scimitar assault bomber.
I don't focus on the Yuusan vong, 'cause they aren't cool. too zerg-like for my tastes.
A lambda class shuttle has 8 front mounted laser cannons and two back mounted. I know there are a few that are double laser cannons, but I have class now and don't have time to wrack my brain.
Scimitar's have 2 laser cannons and 20 cuncussion missile launch tubes, each that hold 1 missile for carpet bombing runs.

Hey, I remember yet another sad thing about me. I love The Nightmare Before Christmas. I watched it so many times that I memorised all of the songs. I'll type the second one here (It's my favorite! ^_^)
There are few who deny
That what I do I am the best
For my talents are reknown far and wide
When it comes to surprises...
In the moonlit night
I excel with out ever even trying.
With the slightest little effort
Of my ghostlike charm
I have seen full men let out a shriek
With a wave of my hands and a well placed bone
I have swept the very bravest off thier feet.
Yet, year after year
It's the same old cheer
And I have grown so weary of the sounds of screams
And I, Jack, The Pumpkin King!
Have grown so very tired of the same old things...
Oh somewhere deep, inside of these bones
And emptiness began to grow
Oh somewhere out far from my home
A lonely that I have never known...
I am the master of Fright
And a demon of the night
And I will scare you out of your pants
To a guy in Kentucky
I'm mister unlucky!
And I'm known throught England and France!
And since I am dead I can take off my head
To recite Shakespearian quotations!
No animal or man, can scream like I can!
With the fury of my recitations
But who, here, would ever understand
That the Pumpkin King, with his skeleton grin
Would grow tired of his crown
If they only understood
That he'd give it all up, if he only could....
Oh somewhere deep, inside of these bones
An emptiness begins to grow
The fame and praise come year after year
Does nothing for these empty tears....

Any game with creatable or customizable characters or NPCs, whether it be sports, FPS, or something else entirely, has been spammed with the entire playable cast of CT. And sometimes even other CT characters get in as well.
Ancedotes:
- Ayla had a Goldberg-esque undefeated run on Wrestlemania 2000, beating both established wrestlers and Chrono Wrestling League members.
- Crono, Lucca, Lavos, Kid, Thaumaturge, and Rei are the top tier of bots for the original Unreal Tournament. Lucca is undisputedly the best shot.
- Marle definitely is the combo queen of THPS4, unfortunately, she was deleted.
- The 'Magus' Rakansen setup for CR has never been beaten. NEVER.
- Robo...well, he really hasn't done anything of big impact, but he's there all the time anyway.
- A variant of Frog made a presence in a D&D game. He was a boss monster. Unfortunately, the players never got to him, as they ticked off a couple of L10 NPCs and were annihilated.
- Although Schala hasn't had as many appearances, she gets plenty of memorable roles. She was the owner of CWL in my WM2K-verse, the general that lead the high elven army to victory, has been an uber-mage in several RPGs, and of course her name's been semi-stolen for the leader of a Lainie nation and a revenge-driven psychotic.
- And yes, they all got Magic cards, too. They're somewhat broken, though.
- The most current CT conversion is Schala to SMT:N. She got a quite fitting role. I used the other name, though.

Sad (nerdy) things about me;
-I own every Major Final Fantasy Game (or versions thereof) it is possible to have bought in america, except 11. (1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,10-2,FF:CC) I will probably buy 12, even though I've allowed little if any time for video games as of late. I also own Saga Frontier 2, and Kingdom Hearts. I am a sucker for sqaure.
-I own the origonal Zelda cartridge for NES. But only for posterity. I've never played Zelda in my life.
-I own an NES and SNES, again, for mere posterity. I have had them both refurbished, despite hardly ever playing either.
-I make webcomics about my friends (www.highschoolstarship.com).
-My favorite movie song is "The rainbow connection". If you don't know what it is, you don't deserve to. If you do... please don't make fun of me. -_-()
-I got to be on the local news. They interviewed me to ask what I thought about the spider man movie. (saw it the first day, of course)
-I had pet rats which I named after Power Rangers. Jason, and Kimberly, most notably.

Oh yeah? Well, I'm such a sad person that:
I had a Madagascar hissing cockroach as a pet once, no wait twice.
I actually do know the song 'the rainbow connection' (why are there so many, songs about rainbows?)
I couldn't get to the internet to read Brian's comics, so I had my mom print out more than a hundred of them (which I still have stapled together in a box in my dorm room)
I love the game Ico so much that I beat it three times in a row without taking a break once.
I have a Gundam Wing card set (both game and standard), every figurine of both the Gundams and the characters, at least four shirts, and several posters. I'm still thinking about getting more.
I'll think of more later.

I don't know if this stuff makes me sad, insane, or something else all together, but... Oh well.
I listen to Jrock. A lot. Like... most of the time. I don't speak Japanese, and I listen to it around other people so much that I'm able to explain to them before they ask, "It's Japanese, not Chinese, and no, I don't speak Japanese" because I know what they're going to say.
I also have some really weird form of kleptomania. Maybe it's just because I'm that age where being a jackass seems like a good idea (and so are my friends), but I steal anything that I think would make a good story, especially from the road. I've stolen stuff like road construction sandbags (which became 30 pound memory bags of doom...), traffic cones, and my friends and I actually managed to steal one of those huge orange traffic barrels... I have a stolen green neopets Jubjub from McDonalds on my dashboard. I don't even play neopets.
Just for fun, here's a picture of my sandbag. I stole it, and my friend Sam autographed it, as she stole one and I autographed hers.

Formulas... Fire Emblem...
Damage: STR + Mt. +/- Weapon Triangle bonus - Enemy Defense
Attack speed: Speed + (CON - Wt), and if (CON - Wt) turns out anything above 0, it is rounded down to 0.
Critical: Skill/2 + Weapon Bonus + S rank bonus + Support Bonus
How Hit/Miss is determined: Hit rate - random number (between 0 and 99). If the result is > than 0, then it hits. If the result is = to 0 or less, then it misses. If the attack will miss, the game doesn't generate another number for critical.
How Crit. Attacks work: Critical - random number (0-99). Result > 0 is a success, result </= 0 is a normal attack.
Devil Axe backfire: Luck x 2 - random number (0-99). If the result is > 0, then the attack is a success. If not, then you take the damage instead. THis works with criticals, making the Devil Axe a dangerous weapon.

Sad things...sad things...sad things...
Um...well, I can sing the musicals, "Rent", "Cats", "Camelot", "Aspects of Love", and "Chess" (both the concept album and the...uh...the other one) word-for-word, in their entirety (of course, I'd have to do the overlapping parts one after another, since I can't sing both parts of a duet at the same time), but I know a lot of people who can do that, so I guess it's not a big thing.
Other than that? I have most of the season of "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future" memorized. Every line. Every inflection. Every bloody move the actors were making as they said the lines. What can I say? Fixation is an ugly, ugly thing, and I spent long hours watching and rewatching those damned episodes.
I've also got most of the series of "Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad" (obscure 90's Power Rangers rip-off, the makers of which clearly had no idea how a computer worked) on tape and memorized. Yeesh. That sounds much, much sadder in writing than it did in my head. [Weeps]
And I've got fifty-eight stories currently posted on Fanfiction.Net, most in universes that few, if any other people read. It used to be sixty-eight, but I had to remove the script-format and the NC-17 stuff. Of course, again, I know a lot of people who have double or triple that, so it's not so bad.

My senior year of high school's lunch conversations centered on analyzing Captain Planet. We must have spent about 2 months on that same topic. We would discuss who had the best power and why the Native American got stuck with "heart" power. The saddest part was that we all picked characters to be us Luckily one of the people that I ate lunch with was a Native American boy, another a black man, another a white "rebel" guy, and two girls.
