One last attempt at an RP. Probably a lie, but at least last attempt for a while.
World - Map (http://img97.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img97&image=Map.gif)
A fantasy world. Humans are the main race. Currently, the major governments of each race are at peace/neutral with each other (Or so they think...). Around 1000 years ago, the great Gaian War was ended by a single hero, chosen by destiny. Or so the legends go. It was prophesied that every 500 years, a major worldly problem would arise, and a new hero would defeat it. However, 500 years after the war, nothing happened. No great hero, no major problem. So, by now, the hero is merely a legend and the truth to the end of the war is assumed to have been lost in some way.
Now, around 1000 years later, all around the world towns and cities are celebrating the anniversary of the end of the Gaian War. (It's an excuse to party and take a couple days off of work).
Basic Plot -
Prophecies were wrong, and one of the PCs (Randomly chosen) is the 'chosen one' (This does not mean they are uber-powerful, and you all won't even know who it is until I reveal it when it needs to come up).
Edit - That previous sentence makes no sense... What I meant is the prophecies were translated/told/interoperated wrong, but what was prophesied is true.
I have basic plots thought out, but I would rather see if the PCs can advance a story on their own (I'm going to be a PC as well, so with my guidance).
Characters are going to meet at a festival in ______ city/town by the way.
Races - (Besides humans, I tried to stay away from the basics. You can add races if none of these appeal to you, but if you want your own try to stay away from the basics [Elves, dwarves, naga, etc]. If you pick a basic, I will annoy you until you give me a reason I like)
Humans:
Bio - Humans culture derives from all of the other races. They take bits and parts of everything, then throw it together and call it their own. The mixed nature has given humans the greatest empires and cities. This also has made humans skilled at everything, but masters of nothing. Most of the world is inhabited by humans, over half of that part ruled by them.
Appearance - Humans...
Faeries:
Bio - Ageless creatures of beauty, Faeries are masters of magic. Every Faerie has their own innate magical ability, which they can use at will (Simple magic tricks, but real). Faeries live in their own floating island mostly.
Appearance - Really pretty humans, with bug-like wings, thinner bodies (Weaker), and paler skin.
Imps:
Bio - Demonic faeries. They are both ageless and beautiful, though it's un-admitted by most due to their impish nature. Unlike faeries however, Imps lack magic. Using their odd form of magic, imps can do simple tricks if they train hard enough. However, they are masters of technology. Using their form of magic, they can create devices that no other race can even comprehend how they work (Imps don't even fully understand why, just the how). Imps have no central government, and are spread out everywhere, doing as they please.
Appearance - Good looking (Not pretty) humans. Usually they have some sort of demonic features, like horns, bat/devil wings, tails, discolored eyes, and so forth. Darker/tanned skin (No oddly colored skin).
Trolls:
Bio - Trolls are spiritual people. They live in tribes, who each make their own ritual dyes to color their skin to identify with their tribe. Most trolls are shaman, who are capable of speaking to the dead. More powerful shaman can summon spirits and persuade them to aid the trolls. The most powerful shaman can force spirits to do their biddings. This is however a big no-no among trolls, so any shaman who does that usually is colored black and are banished into the Wastelands.
Appearance - When standing upright, trolls are 10' tall. However, their legs bend the other way, and they almost always are bent over, appearing to be 6' tall. Their arms, fingers, feet, and toes are also much longer then humans, with much harder nails. Faces are longer, with longer/bigger noses, and large fangs coming out of their mouths even when closed.
Minatours -
Bio - Minatours are a very prideful people. They dislike that humans, who are much weaker and smaller them themselves, are in control of most of the world. However, they also have honor, and have accepted that humans rule. They can live among humans peacefully, but if a human disrespects a minatour, especially if they disrespect Minatours in general, they go berserk. Usually, they work as blacksmiths, carpenters, guards, and builders. The minatours home lands are the northern mountains, which no race dares to take.
Appearance - Giant bullmen (12'). Often have piercings (Anywhere).
Nerieds:
Bio - Nerieds are the creatures of the sea. They are ageless and beautiful, like their faerie cousins. The men and women are have very different natures. Female nerieds are graceful and artful in nature, and are often performers for other races. Most take great joy in being appreciated and told how skilled and wonderful they are. Their major cities are underwater, so they are rarely bothered.
Male nerieds however, are completely different. They are extremely violent, and almost seem mindless in their quest to destroy. Port cities and beach towns are often attacked by a male neried, and unless they are prepared the town or city will be destroyed. The neried will kill every man that crosses it's path, and rape every women that it lays it's eyes upon. They are both masters of magic and superior fighters. However, men are rare, and most ports are well prepared for them. Usually attacks are against people who venture off alone at night.
Appearance - Really pretty humans, with gills on their necks, fairer skin, and extremely flexible. Skin, hair, and eye colors are often different and exotic.
(Note - You can't be a male neried. They are bad, and to powerful for a PC)
Ardillas:
Bio - Ardillas are the forest creatures of this world. They are very in touch with nature, and can communicate with planets and animals. They live mostly in the woods around the world, though some live in human towns and cities to work as hunters, animal breeders/trainers, or gardeners. Their homeland is the Forest of Many Trees (They call it Yggrstial, but humans found that to hard to say so they called it Forest of Many Trees), which is filled with trees as tall as mountains, which have giant cities in them.
Appearance - Squirrel people. Big, furry tails; squirrel ears; whiskers; thick, powerful legs; longer, more flexible ankles and toes; and harder, shaper claws. Very flexible.
References (Skills) -
Magic:
Humans - All types, but mixtures and rarely mastered.
Faeries - All types, but rarely use magic like trolls or ardillas (The only innate race, but not innate with the spirit/nature talking, they would have to use spells for that)
Imps - Simple tricks, like a flash of light, temporary duplication, glamour, sleights of hand, etc.
Trolls - Shaman magic. Use spirits to aid them. Spirits can do a lot of things, so it depends.
Minatours - Runes and enhancement magic. Brute strength is their thing.
Nerieds - All things related to water.
Ardillas - Anything naturey.
Strength:
Humans - The average
Faeries - The weakest
Imps - Slightly above average
Trolls - Second strongest (Not near minatour level, but higher then ardillas)
Minatours - The strongest, by far
Nerieds - Weak
Ardillas - Above average
Technology (In their homelands) -
Humans - Medieval technology.
Faeries - None, it's all magic.
Imps - Tools, weapons, and devices that are FFX/-2 like (The magic stuff)
Trolls - None.
Minatours - Medieval
Nerieds - None
Ardillas – None

Hmm...is this okay?
Name: Eiffel
Age: 50
Sex: Male
Race: Imp
Appearance: Standing slightly under an average human's height, he also has a pair of black draconic wings that span about six feet. A pair of red goggles cover his eyes at all times, hiding the soft blue underneath, and his black hair hangs loosely down to his shoulders.
Equipment: "Blue Mage Gun," a pair of gloves (the gun overheats), and a chemist's belt containing some snacks and smoke bombs.
Skills: He can hide, tune his gun to deal extra damage to specific things, and throw items with good accuracy. The gun itself can also copy enemy techniques used a short while ago, with a memory that lasts about an hour.
Background: Though old by some standards, he still has the curiosity and mischieviousness of a child. It's because of this that he's been found to be tinkering around with gadgets at all time, trying to invent something cooler than what he already has. That's when he invented a ray gun that could copy techniques used in front of him.
Unfortunately, he found that the memory is lost shortly after it is attained, and he has no way to figure out how to copy things for long periods of time. That's when, being stubborn as he is, decided to find someone to fix his toy.
Extra: Though his wings would be perfect for flying, he has a fear of heights he has yet to overcome. Also, running is usually out of the question, as he's often off balance when he tries.

I am in. Sounds pretty interesting.
Name: Koel Jontti
Age: 30
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: Koel has long black hair. (Long as in my real hair. If you've seen it.) Joel is about 188cm tall. He is not too musculous, but still strong enough. He has a scar at his left arm.
Equipment: A Katana like sword. He also has a robe under which he can easily hide his sword. He carries with him also a small knife and a bag which contains his personal belongings.
Skills: Skilled in Samurai like fighting arts. Think Kendo and Iaido if you know what they are. He rarely uses any magic, partly because he is not too skilled with it, but he does know a spell with which to dissappear (No teleporting or invisibility, just a trick.).
Background: Koel left his home town many years ago. He just felt the need to wonder around the world. To explore further. He's friendly and polite and rearly gets into trouble with other humans. He also respects all the other races, so he hasn't had much trouble with them either. He stays in one town for only a few days, and rarely travels with a companion. Though sometimes he crosses paths with travelers trying to get form a town to another town. He likes to travel through the forests and has countered many Ardillas in his time. The Ardillas are infact the race he respects the most and also the race he has the most interest in.
Extra: Can't really think of anything, but if something comes to mind, I'l edit or post again.

I call a squirrel guy. Would they have access to a kurus-gami, or a whip at least?
IHateMakingNames
10-17-2004, 03:53 PM
I don't know what kurus-gami is, so I'm going to assume it's one of those whip-like things that are 3 to 5 to 8-9 pieces of metal/wood chained closely together. So yes.
Edit - krylo, an Imp would be the race you want if you wanted to re-use/re-create the guy you had from Rebirth, since imps are the care-free, trickster ones. Faerie would be what you want if you want magic though (And we have none yet).

Hmm...I was thinking of those things that are like a sickle on one end attached to a long rope and a blunt-weight on the other...but I like the sound of the thing you said, like a staff that breaks up into three smaller swingable staffs...hmm...
How fast/agile are these squirrel guys. Could they hop off/do a backflip off a wall?

Race: Ardillas
Appearance: Uhm...basic Ardilla, a little leaner with muscle though. Wears a brown tunic and brown leather pants. Carries his kurus-gami on his waist.

Extra: He is still a teenager at heart and quite confident that he's the best, to the point where he's just stupid overconfident.

Name: Perinmer Pirelpernrae
Age: 348
Sex: Male
Race: Faerie
Appearance: Perinmer is effeminate of appearance even for a faerie, with long silver hair and delicate facial features as well as a thin body, the muscles of which are always hidden beneath his clothing, which comprises of a white tunic and silvery gray pants with a silver breastplate worn over his chest and a pair of silver boots on his legs, as well as gauntlets, formed magically making silver strands as thin as fabric and then threading it together with a cotton layer within them. (Note, just because the gloves were made magically does not mean they have any magical abilities. In fact, they don't... other than being made of silver and moving as easily as cloth.)
Equipment: Silver war rapier, clothing.
Skills: He's an excellent mage, although he only uses offensive magic when battle is dire indeed, as that he sees explosions and flashy light shows as undignified. He prefers to use magic only to accent his physical abilities well enough to make his rapier deadly.
Background: Perinmer is a faerie knight trained in all aspects of courtly behavior and many areas of battle tactis. Unfortunately, this makes him a bit of a 'stick in the mud', constantly concerned with what is proper. It, further, makes him aloof and arrogant, but in the way of a slighted noble as opposed to a bloodthirsty barbarian. He is likely to get angry whenever his pride is trespassed, but unlikely to do much about it unless the transgression is serious.
Extra: His effeminate appearances often make those of non-fae background mistake him for a woman dressed in somewhat masculine clothing, which infuriates him to no end. Yet he refuses to have his hair cut.
Yes, he is a pretty boy... but more because it amuses me in this case than anything else.

IHMN if you kill this before it leaves the ground then I will be pissed.
Name: Venn
Age: 200(ish)
Sex: Male
Race: Imp
Appearance: Tall and skinny to the point that you just want to stuff food down his throat. Stubby horns on his forehead but long bangs cover them. Is fond of nice suits. Has a a medium length tail that ends in a flat triangle shaped tip. He hides this in his pants.
Equipment: Always wearing a rapier at his side and a chain shirt under his suit.
Skills: Knows enough about a sword to fight but is not fond of it. He is a con man and a very skilled one at that. Also he pilots a mean airship.
Background: As mention above he is a con man. The man has conned his way across the globe and back. A while back he managed to cheat his way to a large airship which he renamed Diablo. He used Diablo to get money by transforming it into a casino. When the festival came around he figured there was much money to be made so he took his ship to into town.
Extra: Considers himself before all others unless he is really fond of another person. Which dosn't happen often. Not because he dosn't take a liking to people easily but because he himself is rather hard to like.
I would rather like to use this charicter so I'm praying this rp gets off the ground.
IHateMakingNames
10-17-2004, 10:14 PM
People don't like imps. No one would go to an imp store or casino, since it's the equivilent of burning your money. If that's going to work, either Venn has to be hidden at all times, or know some illusion tricks (Which, at age 33, he will not).
Airships, if I allow them, would be imp technology anyway. But, some young, punk 33 year old imp would never trick another imp out of an airship (Remeber, imps are ageless). And a casino sized airship seems a bit much.
Edit - Also,
"Get over here, give me a boost."
"Ok. You are a good person, and people say nice things about you."
"Not a moral boost moron, a physical one. I need to see what's in that window."
"That window is very high. I don't think you are tall enough."
"I know, I need you to help me look through it."
"I don't think I'm tall enough either. Also, my head is round, that window is square."

Appearance: Very beautiful female. Joan has a light blue skin tone and stands around 5'6". Joan has flowing green hair that seems to sparkle even if there is no light around.
Equipment: Lute, drum, 6 beautiful dresses and a small knife.
Skills: Has an excellent singing voice, is great at the Lute, drum and piano, and can weave rudimentary water magics.
Background: Joan has moved from town to town because of a very deficient self-image. Every time someone has insulted her arts, she has fled town in tears, and unless that person followed after her apologizing, she will never acknowledge their existence in order to further her idea that she is the best at her art, and everyone likes it.

Name ] Thron Darkfist
Age ] 32 (*Minotaur:Human age ratio)
Sex ] Male
Race ] Minotaur
Appearance ] A giant bullman, attesting truly to his race's greatness, standing at the 12 feet. His body is adorned by a masterfully crafted half plate of steel, and a blacksmith's hammer is slung across his back along with a pair of vicious waraxes attached by chains, telling of his heritage and dangerous profession.
Equipment ] Two war axe blades on a short shaft that denotes them to be throwing axes, though one may question how such a large 6-foot double blade of an axe would be used for throwing. Those shafts, however, are connected by a strict chain that governs a distance of 40 feet, creating a deadly chain that, while versatile in many forms of combat, can hurt the user far more than the victim if used unwisely. A steel half-plate, thickened and reinforced to support a minotaur's gargantuan size. A large blacksmith's hammer, reserved usually for the art of the forge, though it may also serve as a deadly bludgeoning weapon if needed.
Skills ] A master at all things concerning steel, not only in creating weapons and armor, but various pieces of ornaments too. Years spent in a pit honed his combat abilities to their peak, despite him using a questionable weapon.
Background ] Thron used to be quite the unruly minotaur in his years as a book. He was quite the prankster - a clear contrast to the minotaur society, who held honor and respect paramount in their list of virtues. He, however, broke most of them and defied them all. Unsurprisingly, then, it was only 15 (*Minotaur:Human) before he was taken by the authorities, as they were able to. He was then ousted to the pits, the rest of the society not believing he would ever come out. However, his pranking habits quickly became a serious visage when he recognized his situation, and he progressed in combat and smithing skills at an unprecedented alarming rate, using his slender but powerful form to great advantage. In the end, he was the only to emerge from the pits. Hating those who had placed him in the pits, he exited the society of the Minotaurs with his equipment, looking to find his life elsewhere.
Extra ] The giant chained double-axe is an unique weapon that only thron is able to control. It is likely that, if anyone else attempted to use it, the weapon will cut the user apart. This is an effect that Thron intended to place when he made this weapon, aiding him both in the pits and in the life after the pits.

You're still allowing sign ups, right? Here's mine! Oh, and I'm making this profile based on the assumption that Faeries in this RPG have similar sizes and lifespans to humans.
Name: Nelsheena "Nel" Jarlsdale
Age: 22
Sex: Female
Race: Faerie
Appearance
Height: 5' 6"
Weight: 111
Dimensions: 32" x 24" x 33"
Hair Color: Light Green
Eye Color: Rose Pink
Markings: Scarred tissue on the left palm from using a shielding spell during and accident in alchemy. The shape is of a sunburst and is even whiter than Nelsheena's natural skin tone.
Equipment
Enchanted Bracer - Channels magic power into the caster's hand faster than concentration alone can muster.
Daralyn Breastplate - An alloy breastplate forged by Daralyn, who fashions light metal armor for magicians, usually of the faerie variety.
Crimson Headband - Used to be a bandage for Nel's palm wound, but is now worn around her hair.
Daralyn Fingerless Gaunlets - Alloy fingerless gauntlets forged by Daralyn, meant to offer good protection to magicians and they somehow don't interfere with spell casting.
Daralyn Waist Armor - Alloy armor plating for the waist and hips, offering light metal protection and looks really good when coupled with the breastplate.
Daralyn Toeless Boots - Alloy boots that expose the toes. Forged by Daralyn and meant to offer good protection to magicians.
Alchemy Set - Nelsheena's useful set of tools and vials meant for combining items for the purpose of creating new items.
Skills
Novice Alchemy (Nelsheena can make various items from various other items, fusing things found in the outer to creating health restoring vials or mana regenerating potions. As Nelsheena ventures out into the world, she'll eventually start experimenting with what she finds and will learn so much more, mastering the ability to make more and better items.)
Animal Bonding (Nelsheena can often obtain small favors from the local harmless animals. She's not very good at it, though.)
Mezmerizing Kiss (Nelsheena is a very beautiful woman and a simple kiss can probably get you some information you couldn't get otherwise. Other stuff might be possible.)
Background: Nelsheena is a self-sufficient alchemist, often venturing out into the wilds and finding the very items she needs to make the things she sells. Before her coming of age, she worked as an apprentice under her father, a famous high-class alchemist, learning quickly and one day saving her father from an accidental explosion due to mixing the wrong chemicals. Nelsheena still has the peculiar scar as the result of keeping her palm exposed to the blast to keep the shielding spell strong. Nelsheena hasn't lived the carefree life that often lead down the paths of romance or adventure, so there's a lot in the world outside the alchemist's lab that she doesn't know about.
Extra: Nelsheena's Alchemy allows her to fuse items to create other items, but only to that extent. She doesn't know what to do with most weapons and armor, but can usually still create various battle items, like bombs and debilitating powders. Nelsheena's alchemy capability is free to her allies except for the items needed to try with fusing. When it's regular strangers, there's a small charge fee and Nelsheena won't try to fuse anything she knows she can't work with.
Nelsheena doesn't like using her charm or Mezmerizing Kiss (even on handsome guys!), so if it must be done, make it worth her while! Nelsheena really appreciates items that she's never seen before and alchemy tools.
Be careful with certain animals that you want Nelsheena to try befriending. If the animal doesn't like Nelsheena's approach, the situation can get much worse.

Faeries are ageless, meaning they have no life spans. They age like humans until 18-30, then they just stop aging. Though, 1000 years ago there was lots of dying, so they had to repopulate. 500 years is the max I'll accept for PCs.
Jose, either up his age, or make the Airship his own (And maybe some other imps he cons people with), and call it a small casino.
Emblem, nothing wrong with character. But, just so you know, there are imps who can do alchemy better then her (Since they don't have magic or strength, that and technology is all they got). Though, in other race's terms, she's probably high up on alchemy skills
Cure, it's not so much your character (Though all of Tor's points are valid, but imps have goggles), it's more of you. I always get the first post newbies in my RPs, and every time they have been below my standards. And, you necrothreaded (Posting in a long dead thread, over 2 months old) with the exact same character, which makes me think your are just some kid who got bored and thought it would be fun to go around playing some guy who can cook a blueberry tart, but will soon get bored of it and leave.

Is mine a go ahead, or did you just overlook it? Yes is probably the answer to that question, so I'll add, if so, which?

I'll up his age to 300 years old scratch the wings and have him grow out his hair.
That enough? or is more needed? If so I am more then willing to alter my char.
Editing his stats now.

Actually, lower the age to 200-150 (I don't like the number 300 for some reason). And throw in a devil tail, or some other demonic feature that can be hidden.
And remember, the airship could be a small casino (Think Setzer's from FFVI).
Joseph Pandora
10-18-2004, 07:29 PM
Done and done!
And honestly I was thinking of Setzer's ship when I thought of the airsip so...
I'm just gonna go all out and make it a casino ship like you recomend.

I figured you were thinking Setzer, but all he had were some crap tables and a wheel thingy (Forgot it's name), not much of a casino (He had a lot of empty rooms though).
Also, just some insight on the races.
Humans - Usually have a "better then you" attitude, especially in Termina.
Fearies - Uptight, formal, fancy, elegent, ballroom party people. Outside of Seela, more loose, but still formal.
Imps - They do whatever they want to.
Minators - Proud and honorful people. In Vormat they seem to be less proud and honorful, but it's just because they are surronded with other Minators so no one is challenging their honor.
Trolls - Usually act wierd. Talking in third person is common among trolls. Usually talk about the spirits and how they are talking about _______.
Nerieds - Attention whores.
Ardillas - Outgoing adventures who love nature, but know that animals have to die in order for everything to remain balance. However, they refuse to allow squirrels to die if they can prevent it.

This is gunna be a really strange meet-up carnival.
How are you gunna randomly choose the Chosen One anyway?
IHateMakingNames
10-18-2004, 08:06 PM
Random number generator. After everybody is signed up, I'll count up the characters (10 at the moment), then generate a number to see who it is.
Also, since I usually do this.
Player - Character - Race - Skill(s)
Tor - Roger Hunnes - Minator - Blacksmith
Ecurt - Eiffel - Imp - Blue Magic Gun invetor
Oster - Koel Jontti - Human - Samurai with ninja vanish
Mad - "Mad" Jack Freade - Human - Pirate
MLA - Qyxikpur (Job) - Ardilla - Hunter
krylo - Perinmer Pirelpernrae - Faerie - "Stick in the mud" knight
Jose - Venn - Imp - Con man airship/casino owner
Elminster - Joan Rec Luma - Neried - Attention whore (Music)
Kaz - Thron Darkfist - Minator - Blacksmith
Emblem - Nelsheena "Nel" Jarlsdale - Faerie - Alchemist who is one hell of a kisser
Also, 90% chance that my character is going to be a trickester imp.
krylo, what's the site for that elven/faerie translator from Rebirth? I accidently deleted mine.
Emblem, if you intended to have your character live in Seela, she will be very, very naive to the outside world, since she is only 33 years old.

May I suggest PMing those who have signed up and then begining as quickly as possible. These RP's have a tendency to die in the sign up stage if they don't get going fast.

That's sounds about right. Too much time spent in the workshop and at her house, reading damn novels and research books would leave her at something of a clean slate as far as the real world is concerned.

The trick is not to let it die. We have to stay interested. And we can't hurry too much either cause that's when it becomes bad. Besides people might still want to sign-up. So no hurry.
Well we are a rather big group already so, I don't think there should be more people there. But it is all up for IHMN

Well, before we start, we would need a good reason to get everyone to a specific city (One in Termina, since two of the characters live their, ans Seela is out of the option).
For the two faerie characters (Both Seela resistants), the only plausible thing I can come up with is Emblem's character being some higher up noble's daughter, and she wants to go to Termina to celebrate the ending of the Gaian War, so krylo's guy is sent along to protect her.
Everyone else would just happen to be going threw Termina at the time (And Venn would be there conning people).

my intro is just going to consist of Jack's crew hitting some out-of-the-way port town and having them dock at wherever we start to party, so I'm covered

As you have already stated Venn will be there with the Diablo in full casino mode. Might be a good alternitive to the typical tavern meeting place.

I'll check my profile to make sure Nelsheena's a nobleman's daughter, then. Shouldn't involved any serious changing.

Gahhhh, I need to browse through the sections more thoroughly, I can't beleive I kept passing this one over.
Hey, IHMN if you wouldn't mind adding one more person, I'd live to play a troll.
IHateMakingNames
10-20-2004, 01:57 PM
No, I wouldn't mind.
Especially if you make a troll, because I wanted a troll (If no one was going to sign up as a troll after I noticed they were none, I was going to make two characters. My imp and a troll).
Joseph Pandora
10-20-2004, 09:22 PM
A troll eh? Should mix things up a bit.
Oh and IHMN, are you disqualified from being the chosen?
Well since my dude works in whatever the name of the country is it should be pretty easy geting him to the right city

I still can't think of a name for the RP (Anything will do, but nothing I can think of).
Name: Kilik
Age: 278
Sex: Male
Race: Imp
Appearance: Kilik's dark red hair is cut very short, so it naturally spikes up. His eyes are red, and a scar runs across his left eye. Starting below his shoulders are two black, devil wings, large enough to let him glide. Normally they are drapped around his like a cloak. Over his toned body he wears a black vest, and no shirt. Coming out of the bottom of his spine are two, three feet long, flexible tails (Think monkey, but no fur). On his right arm Kilik wears a metal armband, which has wires coming out of them, that go up two metal covers on the tip of his fingers. On his leather belt are several small tools and a pouch containing various mechanical parts. He wears baggy black pants.
Equipment: Kilik's right arm band produces electrical currents which go to the metal finger tips. Anything Kilik is holding gets electricuted (If it's turned on)
Skills:Some trickster magic:
Momentary duplication (A weak version of him appears for several minutes, and poofs away when killed)
Magical Flash (Like a flash grenade, but comes from his hand)
Magical Smoke (Like smoke bombs, but he makes them)
Simple illusions
Short range teleportation (A couple of feet, mainly to get between walls for escaping)
Background: Kilik is a trickster. He spends most of his time tricking people, but his favorite targets are faeries. Most faeries know of Kilik, since when Kilik does trick faeries, he does it to important people, and he does it big. Of course, this has backfired on Kilik several times, and the worst of those times scarred his left eye.

I haven't forgotten about the RP if you were worried, but I've had a huge in school project/competition that is taking up too much of my time to sit down and think of a good char.
And beleive me you don't want a rush job.

Am I too late? Am I black listed? I don't know. I was reading the signups, looking at the dates of the posts, just hoping, HOPING that it hadn't left the ground yet, and that I might have the slightest chance to have the honor of at least TRYING to get myself linked to this wonderful, at least in appearance so far, world.
In short, I want in.
Now, I could post ASKING if I could get in, waiting for a reply and IF it was a yes, THEN create a character, however that would consume a lot of time wouldn't it? Therefor, I am going to create a character anyways. I will post it right now, and then at the end of my post, ask if I might join with that character, or perhaps a modified character. And if I am denied... Well... I'll do something else, and hold nobody in lesser regard. So, here I go...
Name: Coramere
Age: 87 (Hopefully you consider her young at that age)
Sex: Female
Race: Neried
Appearance: Slightly taller than the average Neried, and with long blue hair. She wears flowing green and blue dresses, with shiny fish scales sewn into them, not all over, but in intricate designs. Her skin is tinted yellow, like that of a tropical fish, and her eyes are a radiant deep sea blue.
Equipment: Aside from her clothes, she has very little in the ways of equipment. She has, however, learned a few tricks for self defence. Her hair pins are quite sharp, and contain poison from a certain fish that resides near her hometown, that can quickly paralyze a person for a few hours.
Skills: Her people known for their performing, she too posseses a performing skill. She has an incredible singing voice. She plays no instrument and only dances at a basic (for her people) level, but sings better than (practically) anyone else. Her songs can get you entranced if you listen to long, and she has been known to charm a man or two using them.
Background: Jealous of how all the human girls are able to get men at such a young age (or get men at all!), she ventures from human town to human city seeking attention. She is rebellious by nature, ignoring the tutorings and rules of her elder kin. She attempts to make herself as alluring as possible, through the cloths she wears, the way she moves and the words she says. In addition, if any other female, be it human neried or even troll is getting even the slightest attention by any man, she gets angry, although she can generally keep it to herself.
Extra: Her extreme jealousy makes her both adventurous and unpredictable. At times she can be a very useful companion, who never gives up until she gets what she wants, yet at other times the slightest little thing can make her explode in fits of rage.
Edit: Additional Backgroud, at IHMN's request: Early on in her life, being the rebellious person that she is, she left her city seeking what was in the world above. She had seen ships and shipwrecks, but had led a very sheltered life. She only knew what humans were through stories. Well, one day she left. She travelled to what she had thought was a small fishing village. Such a place, it seemed, would be a safe place to learn and observe humans, small villages were always full of the nicest people. She had made an error however, for it was not a fishing village, but a fishing outpost. Instead of families with children playing with their dogs outside, there were men. Large, ugly, and lacking morals. These were the men that couldn't get work anywhere else, and wouldn't want to. As soon as they saw such a beautiful young neried all alone, they cast their nets and took her as a slave. They were... "unkind", and it took months before she was able to escape. Since then, she has always hated all humans. Although she enjoys their attention, her intentions are always how she can cause them the greatest pain, without herself getting into trouble. She becomes especially affectionate when men are near their wives, takes important things from one man's bags and places it into another... Anything she can do.
So there you have it, my character. I am well aware that there is already another female neried, and if that is an issue with you, I'd be more than willing to change her to another race (Human or Fairy) who is similar, jealous of the neried for their beauty or something.
Finally, here comes the begging. Can I join? Was I too late? Pleeeeease? If you feel that I am too late or you have enough people already, that's fine. It was fun just to create the character. But know this, if you cross me, I'll read the role play ANYWAYS! And there's nothing you can do about it! Seriously, this seems interesting to me. Ok, I think that is a long enough post, I should actually post it before my computer crashes and deletes it.
Edit: I forgot to say this before, but I LOVE the RvB signature!

Throw in something about having horrible experiences when she first visited humans (Humans think they are the best, men are horny and mean, some hot neried comes to town looking sexy. What do you think might happen?)
Other then that, fine.
