"Janie's got a Gun" By Aerosmith might work.

As would "Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun" by Julie Brown...perhaps.

Hmm, there's some song with a chorus of "Why are you running away?" or something like that. Not sure who it is. Maybe POD...

I don't see anything that jumps right out at me on my playlist. I'll get back to you.

We're off to see the wizard? How about, In the Hall of the Mountain King. It could be interpereted as a running song. Or, maybe it's just cause I associate the song with Sonic the Hedgehog.

No, wait, In the Hall of the Mountain King would work, I think. Isn't the guy the peice/play is about running from the Mountain King?

Well I know that Pink Floyd - One of my Tunes, has the last line "Why are you running away?"

Maybe Linkin Park - Runaway will do it?

Or Hoobastank - Running Away, now that I think about it.

Hootie and the Blowfish - Let her Cry

This is probably the best song for people running out on you.

Oh my god... I feel ashamed of myself for saying this, but... The first song that came to my mind was that running away song from that "Pippi Longstockings" movie... Good luck finding it though. I wish I could lift a horse...

I think there was a passage in Idiotheque, by Radiohead, where the singer repeats "take the money and run" twice. There's also an hurried air to the whole song... But it probably doesn't fit.

Oh there's also "Run Like Hell" By Pink Floyd as well.

Probably not the best one, but for running for your life, CKY's "Escape From Hellview" might be a good one.

I agree with Linkin Park - Runaway, but since it's already been suggested how about Three Days Grace - Home? It's not really about runnig away but it is about not being happy at home and wanting to get away.

I love that song, FC. Good call.

Walk out, walk away (http://www.postpoems.com/cgi-bin/displaypoem.cgi?pid=342901) A poem I wrote a long time ago. Don't know if it's quite what you're looking for, but it couldn't hurt to try.

As for songs, Foo Fighters 'Walking After You'.

Try the song "Long Way Home" by Offspring. I'm not sure its exactly related to running, but it does seem to fit pretty well.
