About a week ago, some friends and I tried to answer a question that we saw online. The question was "Who would win in a battle between Gannondorf and Seshomeru?" Ignoring the fact that you have to have no life to care, we sat down and tried to puzzle it out because we had nothing better to do. After much debate, it was decided that only Link's weapons could kill Gannondorf, so Seshomeru would lose unless he could get his hands on Link's weapons. This lead to discussion as to which of THOSE two would win. Here were some of the arguments:
For Seshomeru:
1. Seshomeru has a high running speed, super strength, and demon powers.
2. Seshomeru has attacks with a greater max range than Link's.
3. Seshomeru can't be killed as long as he has the Tensaiga.
And the counter arguments:
1. Link has very good reflexes and dodges quickly, is more skilled than Seshomeru, and has the unlimited energy uneek to video game hero sprites.
2. Link has an arsenal of all possible distances and dammages that Seshomeru knows nothing about.
3. Link, assuming you're picking from Okarina of Time and Majora's Mask, has the triforces of courage and strength, a megaton of HP, and a habit of not losing much health to battle axes in the stomach and fire balls in the face.
So here's the deciding question. Do Link's power's carry over to the anime universe where Seshomeru comes from? If so, there is no possible way that Seshomeru could win, because Link would be able to dodge Seshomeru's attacks, hardly take any dammage from the ones that do hit, use a wide variety of items that Seshomeru problably has never seen before or even heard of, and will never tire while Seshomeru will eventualy become exausted.
Or, Link could lose his powers with the change of scene and Seshomeru could kick his ass around the world and back and go kill Gannondorf with his new weapons. We're assuming that it is in Seshomeru's universe because if Link could lose under any circumstances at all, Gannondorf loses too and being on Seshomeru's home turf is Link's worst case senario.
So do Link's powers carry over or not?
