I hate Amazon also, but mostly because they exclusively employ UPS. Those guys suck around here. I ordered something from them around the $400 mark, just below that. It never shows up, despite being stated as DELIVERED. I look everywhere, within a fifty foot radius of my house. I freak, calling and emailing and such. The next day, I walk outside to go to the bus, and ta da! Its sitting on my porch, in the exact spot I looked for several hours.

My conclusion: The idiot delivery guy forgot to deliver it, marked it down as DELIVERED, then dropped it on a potentially unattended porch the next day. The box also had several dings on it.

Also note, that I prefer to use Fedex. It came almost immediately the first time I used them, to deliver my computer. It was sent and returned via Fedex when I sent to be reparied, all done very promptly and with zero damage. Go Fedex!

This may surprise you, cuz it surprised me, but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative to FedEx the United States Postal Service (assuming you live in the US) is quite reliable as well.

Funny thing, I think thier roles around here have been flipflopped. Here, UPS is nice and fast, while FedEx tends to, sorta... deliver the packages to the wrong house. Which is unoccupied. And you end up getting the package after the house is sold several months later and people move in, and they actually send it to the right address.

Yeah, this wasn't a one-time thing, either.

Yeah, FedEx is teh crap-suck here.
