Who here makes flash movies, I haven't got flash, so I make my movies with powerpoint. It's not as good, but I could download the 30-day trial. Who thinks I should?
By the way, I am talking so much on here because I have no life. If you don't know what I'm talking about...then shut up and don't ask.

It seemes kind of pointless to download the Macromedia version for 30 days free trial, because that's not enough time to make a good flash. However, if you just want to try it out and you're willing to cough up the 200+ dollors it costs, then by all means, go ahead. Let me just warn you that it didn't download properly on my computer, but that might just be me, and not the software.
By the way, I'm assuming your talking about the mocromedia version suggested on Newgrounds, right? If you aren't, I suggest that one.
As a side note, you probably shouldn't tell people to "just shut up". Members of this forum are smart enough to not post in subjects they know nothing about.

Using my crystal ball I predict you will make a short animation using stick figures and/or sprites. This movie will be about 30 seconds long, will not have sound, and will involve one character killing the other(s).
At this point it gets a little hazy. You might submit it to newgrounds and it will get blammed or you might see how much it sucks and never show it to anyone.

Actualliy, it involves severel characters killing millions of others, and yes it has sprites, but I've done many others involving me, my friends and our pledge to kill anyone who annoys us. In my case, anyone who lives.
(Oh yeah, it's longer than 30 seconds!!!) (Well, the sprite one is.)
(Anyone know how long your signuture can be?

I hate to tell you this, but any sprite animation you make, no matter how good, is just going to look like a cheap rip off of
Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=113889) or The 8-Bit Theater Flash series (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view.php?id=198225). If you really want to be a well-known flash artist, come up with an original style all your own. Sprites have already been overdown to the point of nausea.

Yeah I have my own style, just the sprite one is because I went to all the truble of getting them, I was originally just going to edit them, but they aren't turning out that well. My own style involves a lot of blood. I haven't made anything without blood. Mmm.. blood.
Also, you forgot Final Fighting Fantasy. That series is amazing. They should make it into a film, but not with all the cutting. That would ruin it.

I trid that 30 trial thing. Couldn't figure out how to use the danged software, and the help section with it sucks. It just teachs you to use webpage like functions.
Maybe I'll try again. (30 Day Trial my ass! I've had my trial Jasc Animation shop for 200 days!)

Check out Newground's free lesson (http://www.newgrounds.com/flash/samples/demo.html) on how to use macromedia's flash-creator. It's alot better than the crappy help section that comes with it...

I'm an animator. I don't use Macromedia Flash, though. I work with SWiSHmax (http://www.swishzone.com/), because of how much easier it is to use. It can be a powerful program if you know how to use it.
Ok ok ok, so SWiSHmax is cheating, and audio sync is bad on long files. If you wanna do it proper, have good long audio sync, something you can draw in with a tablet or whatever, Flash is the way to go. Otherwise, look into SWiSH.
There's a trial of SWiSHlite that's ok to start with, get used to everything and whatnot, then move up to SWiSHmax when you wanna do some more complex things.

1 - Animation software
I also use Powerpoint to animate movies, and really, it 'aint as bad bad as Edwardo Magnifico makes it out to be. Sure, there's no Audio Sync to speak of, but it DOES WORK.
CHICAGO¤lollie, I tried SWISH, but I downloaded it from CNET's Download.com. Maybe it's a different version, but the one I've got messes up the text and puts all pictures in Black and White, therefore making it damned useless.
Next, which program is actualy Macromedia Flash? Is it FireworksMX? I haven't actually downloaded it so I don't know.
Hmmm - icythaco, I might just check out that free trial on Newgrounds you mentioned, just for the hell of it. Thanks for the link.
2 - FREE DONUTS
Can't help you here, I'm afraid, But you could always try searching it on one of the *SINTERNETS* (Hahahahaha! I'm so good!) many search Engines.
Alternately you could try the local Bakery, but you gotta remember, there 'aint nothin' in this world that's really free.
:#) - ow, someone punched me.
