Possible major spoilers ahead.
How did Rachel spend so much time in the Silo of Solitude without wearing heavy lead clothes? It was explained early on that the place had a high radiation level, and that Nuklear Man's powers protected him while Atomik Lad's Atomik Field protected him. It was also stated that the Dwarven Warriors' armor protected them (however, they were made out of iron and probably filled with holes for things like air and sight. I'll let that one slide as "iffy".). What about Rachel?

Oh, that just had to do with outdoors. Inside the Silo is quite safe. After all, Atomik Lad's Field isn't up 24/7. Otherwise they'd have no furniture and I don't think he could eat. :D

Probably my fault for not being more clear on when/where the radiation came into play.
