Heh, hello all.
I was wondering if anyone knew what episode had the first appearance of the sword chucks? I couldn't remember which one it was.

I still like the idea of "staff-chucks" better than sword-chucks...
But both would be fun to use.

I would like Staff Chucks better than sword chucks. The reason is staff chucks there is less of a chance of cutting off your head.

Staff-chucks are, in essence, simply larger nunchucks. Nunchucks can be thought of as two very small "staffs" in connected by a chain. Staff-chucks simply have larger staffs.

Oh! I know! How about...."MP-44-Chucks"! Bullets all over the place. I'm not sure how you would shoot. Or aim. Or survive.
Playing too much Call of Duty....

If I remember correctly the staff chuks were made by takeing 2 magical staffs and connecting them via chain and when swung around in a circle above ones head blew everything around you to hell and back. I've yet to see nunchucks do that.

sword chucks: impossibly to use without cutting your own head of
Staff chucks: what good does that do? sticks on a chain? i'd prefer nun-chucks
and the bullet idea would be like sword chucks. Impossible to use without riddling yourself with bullets
Gosh what happend to old fashion nun-chucks

Icy: Don't double post.
There's an edit button on the lower right hand corner of your posts. Use it.
There's really no excuse for double posting. It's in the rules, there are sticky threads about it here and there. It's noted all over the place that it's illegal.
You = Warned.
Also, people, read the guest comics. Particularily the one by our very own Slackbot. That's where the staff-chucks thing comes from. Two magical staves attached by a chain.

Yes, I understand that. My point is this:
Nunchucks = two small sticks connected by a chain.
Sword-chucks = two swords connected by a chain.
Staff-chucks = two big sticks connected by a chain.
Staff-chucks are more like nunchucks than sword-shucks are.

I have a few other useless "chucks"
Nunchuck-chucks!
Four sticks, three chains, double the chance of you hitting yourself!
Book-chucks! ... wait... have I heard that somewhere before?
Hmmm... What else... Oh, I know! Chain-chucks!
Two chains attached by a chain!
And finally, Chuck-chucks!
Two guys named Chuck attached by a chain!
I will now stop talking, thus ending this insanity...

Actually your nun-chuck chucks are real weapons. I'm not sure which group uses them but I'm pretty sure I've seen them.
I personally think "Rod Chucks" would be better than Staff Chucks. In essence they were designed for attack spells and they're more well balanced than Staff Chucks. Also they wouldn't be able to accidentally hook on to anything making them much more wieldy in combat.
What about Lance chucks? They'd be long enough to be safe from you and yet maneuverable enough to put your enemies on their toes.

I want squirrel-chucks. Make fun squeaking noises when waving them around. Anyone know what movie I'm referring to?

Yep. Kung Pow..... although I think those were *gopher* chucks. Great movie..... :)

Well, I must have forgot that squirrels don't live in holes. Or do they?
I wish someone in Star Wars could use Light-Chucks. Hopefully in Star Wars Episode Three we'll be able to see a display of light-chuckery. But I'm not counting on it.

Nope..... Those would definitely be gophers. Squirrels live in trees. Gophers live in holes. Good movie too... had me laughing for hours.
Back to the topic, CHUCK-chucks?!? Oh my god..... LOL!!! That's the sickest most brilliant idea I ever heard of.... *clap* *clap* *clap*

I would go for the chuck-chuck option myself. Clearly the tree-hugger's choice, as it saves you from cutting down trees to use in the more common variety.
Can't go wrong with a bit of chain, with two bits of chain attached.

as "chucks" go you can put anything on them, axes, wands, small animals, (with strong chain) large animals, twig ( not effective) , chain chucks. anything pointy and has edge, pretty much anything, and I LOVE it, I am going to make stapler chucks now.

I still think swordchucks can be used without chopping ones own limbs off. It takes skill, but it can be done. There was a previous thread made about this, in which I detailed all the possible ways you could use swordchucks and live to tell the tale. http://forum.nuklearpower.com/showthread.php?t=7069&page=5
Also, I've thought about these staffchucks, and they don't seem too efficient. Only one of the staffs can be used, you might as well use one magical staff connected to a normal staff.

Chained Kozuka
Long reach, but lacks defense.
Two short swords, each with a short blade and long hilt, connected
with thread. It was originally conceived by a street performer as a prop for
use in acrobatics. It definitely lacks the sturdiness of a real weapon.
Taken from http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/gamecube/file/soul_calibur_ii_weapon_desc.txt (copy and paste as they don't allow direct links), this is an example of a weapon in a mainstream game with a definite "sword-chucky" feel. Follow the link and scroll to Maxi's section from more variations on the theme "something-chucks".

reading this comic inspires many with chucking thoughts (its like mikey crossed w/ leo). i was reading one of brians posts about an upcoming convetion thats in the area of where i live. intrigued, i read on. much to my amusement i discovered a clause in the rules which stated cleary that "Nunchakus are not permitted. " swords are also bad bad. however wooden staves are. would they allow staff-chucks, yo?
BTW has anyone stayed up late trying to think of a method of use for sword-chucks? one that ya know, won't kill you?
"Pray, chuck, come hither." Othello

Sword chucks are useable you know... You have hilts and blades not just blades. Although I've not seen nun-chuckery or sword-chuckery how would you stop the blade from swinging? The world may not be ready for sword-chucks. But nun-chucks... Puting two nuns(old church ladys) on a chain? Now that just werid. Now what you need is HADOKEN-CHUCKS!!! If only I could... I must now end this...
:fighter: SWORD-CHUCKS YO!

Is there a store? Can you imagine haveing a store? *cheesy fantisy thing* "Welcome to Sword-Chucks Yo! may i take your order?" "Yes I'd like some swords-chucks with staff-chucks with a a side of nun-chuck-chucks." It's like muder marinated in sin, that would be bliss
