Perhaps I'm empty on the inside, but I found the song quite funny. Or maybe I'm just a sadistic bastard. Edit: And apparently stupid enough to post my feelings on the forum, too.

Yes, you are very sadistic. What if one of your relatives suffered this fate?Would you still laugh or find it funny?
I find it very tasteless to make fun of a disaster. What if such would have happened to their relatives? Would they still make fun of it, or jump the barricades and spurred people to help those people?
Bah.

People make fun of everything, from Hitler to Mental Retardation and now natural disasters. what makes mental retardation funny but natural disasters off limits? And who died and made you king of comedy?

It's not worth fighting over a difference in opinions. I should have kept my mouth shut in the beginning. I apologize for any righteous anger I may have incurred.

for some reason a johnny carson reference here seems both an appropriate example, and inappropriate example.

Well....it seems that great minds think alike, since I've never heard of Johnny Carson. Please enlighten me on who he is.

Johnny Carson was the undisputed king of late-night. He hosted The Tonight Show for many many years, and retired several years back, and Jay Leno got the Tonight Show (though he probably didn't deserve it). He died recently, much to the sadness of many.

Oh. Thanks for your sharing of knowledge. Though I didn't know that was a Johnny Carson quote..... Which was logical considering I didn't know who he was.
It's really boring when I try to be nice. Put up with me.

Well, people are still allowed to find things in bad taste. I don't think Mental Retardation is funny in itself, neither is Hitler or natural disasters. I can understand how all three of those things can be put into humorous light, but they can also be put into an idiotic light, even if it is set to music.
And the way I understand it, this isn't so much making fun of the Natural Disaster than of its victims. With racial slurs. As long as we're on Hitler's case, what thing related to Hitler couldn't you treat the same way and still be defended as being humorous? I wonder...
Edit: I didn't mean any of this in an inflammatory way... if it sounds as such, I apologize.

Volatility. Don't flame people, folks, cause a few people got close. Keep the tempers down.

Racial slurs? I don't really care when someone insults my race or makes a joke about it. In fact, I find those jokes funny. Most of my friends do. In my opinion, those who are insulted by them should loosen up. But I guess my friends and I are minorities. I also find racist jokes about people of other races funny...However, I don't look down on those races. Words are different from actions(obviously). I'm don't really know how to translate my feelings into words, but racist slurs and jokes are just humour - as long as people don't really act on it. You can tell racist jokes about me and I'll laugh, but spit on me and I'll kick your butt(or get my butt kicked in the process).
Oh, have I mentioned it yet? I'm a "chink". Nice to meet you decent people.

Well, I suppose I reacted kind of heavy (understatement, I know). I'd like to apologize here now.
Sorry about that.

You didn't have to apologize. I'm going to hell in a handbasket anyway. I could do with some flames-that'll help me get accustomed to the stuff down there. Oh, and I'm giving everyone permission to laugh at my funeral. Everyone needs a few laughs now and then.

To quote someone from the Questionable Content forums;
Tasteless jokes don't make fun of victims. Child molestation jokes make fun of the priests not the children. And this isn't even a joke, it's just blatant taunting assholery. It's the equivalence of "Ha ha you were raped, bitch" maybe worse than that.
