So, yeah, a rather nasty bug is making the rounds this year. And It happened to hit me.
With the force of a convoy of 80 18-wheelers. Seriously, I'm almost too achey and weak to sit up at the computer.... I think I'ma lie down and read.
So, who else here has been sacked by this goddamed illness, or any other stupid bug this cold/flu season? Because, you know, misery loves company, they say.

I lost last weekend and Monday to the damn bug. Fortunately it was a mild form, but I was still comatose Sat-Sun with a 102 fever (eh, not the highest, but nothing to scoff at). Thank God for Tylenol. Had to retake two tests and do a paper this weekend. I hate missing school.

To put this into prospective a bit more, being sick a week out of a winter really isn't that big of a deal. I know it may seem like a lot to people who aren't used to being sick, but there are some of us who this flu feeling is just a regular day for us.
I'm sorry you guys are feeling sick, since i'm so used to it, i've built up more of a tolerance. I know how horrible of a feeling it can be. :sends good vibes to everyone:
I have had the flu about 4 times this year, if not more, so I definitely understand. I had it last week for about 3-4 days, was unsick for about 2 days, and then caught a cold type thing which is what I have now. I woke up this morning with a 102.5 fever and was having some problems swallowing with a light cough and some sneezing. It's just starting out, so it's not that bad. I'm hoping I can just take a lot of Vitamin C and get some rest, and maybe it won't escalate to a higher level. It is a very crappy feeling, indeed.
Heh, I fell asleep in the middle of doing stuff online like, 3 times today. I had people instant messenging me going 'uhm, where are you?' I hate when I do that, hehe. Those 'oh, i'll just put my head down for a second' times always turn into 'an hour later'.
Anyway, hope you all feel better. Also, instead of doing the misery loves company bit. Maybe you can try to get yourself out of the misery stage? I have little ways of trying to make myself feel better, though they don't always work. Maybe try putting on your favorite music and curling up with a book, watching a movie, or just taking a hot bath and relaxing. Try to be positive, you won't be sick for too long. Just think, it can always be worse, hehe.

I've been sick for like...a month, luckily most of my 'comatose' days where on weekends. Not that I haven't missed 5 days in the last 3 weeks. I think my endurance is weakening, I usually don't miss more than 2 days in a year, despite sickness.

Eh heh heh... worst thing I had in recent memory was a light cold... in October. Other than that, I haven't had anything worse than a runny nose for a couple years now, and it's been several years since I've had any incarnation of the flu...
But yeah, hope y'all get better soon.

I have a super immune system. I repal most minor things like sore throats and colds. Usually, if I get something, it's something nasty like The Flu but I rarely get that either. Though last week it hit me, but not too bad. But then my girlfriend got it from me and she was miserable.

Well, seeing as it's March now, most of the winter bugs should be gone soon. I hope all of you who are/were under the weather will get/stay healthy. As for me, I haven't missed a day of school becasue of of an illness since 7th grade (about 6 years). I have has the occasional sore throat and runny nose, but those usually bounce off in a day or two for me. It's mostly becasue I never learn how NOT to clog my throat with my own muscus, oh well.

Wow this reminds me of when I went to England. They have somekinda grass that grow everywhere that I was alergic to. And I mean everywhere. I was misrable for that month. If you ever feel like that stay in the car and kept the doorss locked.
As for the flu. That did hit me so hard. I've noticed when ever I get sick, which is rarely I stay in my room and get heathly. Everyone else who gets sick tries to get me sick on pourpose and then Once the get heathly they think I'm evil for being sick. Of course that's after they give it to me.

I used to get sick with the flu twice a year (and it lasted for awhile) but as of lately, I have a pretty good immune system. I think it's been 3 years since I've had to go home from school early for flu-like symptoms. But I do still get sick, (usually during Christmas break though :P heh)
Edit: I just realized the last time I got really sick (like, throwing up) was in 7th or 8th grade, and it was my first time ever spending the night at one of my friend's house... and she's a severe germaphobic. That sucked.
