Why won't it run?

I have picked up Knights of the Old Republic II, and after installing it, I open up the launcher to play it, and after 15 minutes of waiting, it never runs. According to the setup, my laptop has everything it needed to run, yet after three hours of trying to figure out what's going on, I knew I needed help. Any advice?

I had a problem like that with my copy of Broken Sword 3. Turns out that the game was initially set up to run in 640x800 mode, and you can only change that configuration once you get into the game. BUT you can't run the game without setting your monitor to 640x800.

Maybe your problem could run along the same lines, perhaps?
