I was just linked to this (http://www.xgenstudios.com/play/castle) game and urge you all to try it. You use an invisible hand to click and thrust barbarians attacking your castle into the air for them to plummet back to earth in a pool of blood. You can also upgrade your castle and in later stages you get different enemies.

It's addictive. As of now I've only gotten to stage 9 but there are plenty more.

I've gotten to Stage 13 (and died there), and trust me, it's crazy at the higher levels.

Bombs are your friends...

Wow, this is fun. But it's pretty hard with just a touchpad. I'm sure it'd be easier with a mouse.

Yeah. I got up to Lev. 7 before I bit the dust.

Same here. Level 7. I mainly start running out of mouse pad when things start to heat up.

Oh and rep for you Elminster for the sig. First person to quote me in their sig.^^

Stage 14...and does anyone know how to get past those huge Ogre like Stickman?

I belieave you have to use wizard spells on them.

Wizard spells help... but the demolitions lab is a great thing to get, as is the temple.

Got to level 15 first time playing. Final score 180,000. Thought it sucked that you take human casualties even though the invaders never even come close to breaching your walls. I lost after the first level that happened.

The giant stickmen: Your archers will kill them if you stun them enough, or you can zap them with an explodey spell.

I used to play this game endlessly. And then deleted my cookies and had to start over. If I remember rightly, I was on quite high levels. With wizards and archers up in the thousands. They could not withstand my wrath!

(Damn you, cookies.)

once you build up a good supply of men, you cruise. I once got past level 15 and made it up to 30 before getting bored

You have to pay upkeep to keep you men from dieing. It's 100 for archers and magicians and 50 for workers.

I am at level 27 and I don't even have to be at my computer to win anymore.

Last time I remember playing, I was on level 48 or 50..and I kept losing things to upkeep because I'd be stupid about things (IE: I'd keep building up my walls though they didn't really need it.)..but I barely had to do any work to win.

The key to the game (for me anyways) was my wizards. If you get enough, you can use the highest level spell over and over again. Makes the archers look weak. I just kept casting the spell ever 2 seconds.

Great game, especially since is free. :)

Ah yes, defend you castle, i remember those days... i played it when they had it on flashplayer and newgrounds. My highest score was stage 13 as well.

alright i got to the second stage with the giants...had some freiken strong walls to withstand those giants for one level. anyways i bought the archery range and i never figured out how to train archers... if someone could explain this to me it would help ALOT.

the suicide bombers were fun to use even though i didnt know how the hell to use them and ended up releasing like 7 of them at once and didnt use any of them.

To make archers, you click on the red flag on top of your castle during a level. the same metod is used for wizards and repairmen, but different flags on differen corners. Of course, after you buy the needed buildings to make them.

I really like this game, for some strange reason throwing stickmen into the air is fun. And so are blowing them up and watching them die to arrows.

wow...having archers and wizards makes it SO much easier...to bad i lost all of them on lv 22 cuase i couldnt pay them...then the giants killed me.

Got to level 13 before I accidentally right-clicked. A little window popped up with Flash options, but I couldnt close it. I hit close, but it stuck around. I hot close again, but it stayed there. I hit close again, and it stayed. Then my castle fell, and THEN close worked. be careful what you click for.

Does anyone know why all of a sudden I lost 8 archers at the end of round 12? I didnt lose any from rounds 6 through 11, and then in round 12, I lost eight. Is there a time limit on them?

I have been informed by my wife, at home, that my son loves this game. "Pick up the people and they splat!" He's three years old. He can't use the mouse very well, or pretty much at all, so he directs my wife. "That one! Over there! Go up! Get that one! KABOOM!" My son's already tenuous grip on reality has finally been shattered.

I played this game like everyday last year in school...
eventually the levels became longer then the class hour, so that was the end of that.

you lost the archers because you couldnt pay upkeep. btw. upkeep comes from points you have at the BEGINNING of the level...thats why i lost all my trained units.

Gotta love 'em. Click 'em and watch 'em blow shit up. Comedy at its finest.

Wombat - that is so cute. My little brother, who is four, asked me to cut myself the other day so he could use my blood as paint. I swear, they're getting fucked up at younger ages within recent years.

As I type this, my archers are owning any barbarian in a five mile radius of my castle. Wonder if any new enemies will show up.

WanderingWombat
03-17-2005, 07:07 PM
The game has stopped being fun. Observe level 44. My castle has 200,000 hit points, and the 50 workers actually keep the health at full after my archers miss a big run of kamikazee's and giants. I can cast level 2 shockwave spell as fast as I can click (but it isn't fast enough, since the archers kill my targets).

I've just been leaving it on in the background during my regular browsin, seeing how far I can go without actually paying attention to it myself. Currently on stage 59. The number of archers is 1000 actually, but it only shows three digits.

This has been running in the background all day. They really need some way to make these levels harder.

Whohoho! Is that a triple post I see? We're not to keen on those, you know. Please just use the edit button if you have something to add, okay? Thanks.

WanderingWombat
03-19-2005, 07:10 PM
They were separate posts, made on separate days, or at least several hours apart. Editing one post wouldn't make much sense, in this case, because then the new post wouldn't seen so poignant, and pathetic. :)

In any case, I also don't post multiple consecutive times, unless, as is the case here, I didn't think it was offensive.

Elan Morin Tedronai

Yea, I'm still playing. Up to 3.2 million castle health.

WanderingWombat
03-19-2005, 08:01 PM
Wow, I only got 750,000 health... it seems like enough, since at the end of a level I NEVER have less than 749,000 health. 3 million is overkill, but then again, playing this game beyond level 25 is an excercise in overkill.

Meister

Still, Wombat, double (or triple) post is double post. Of course I saw why you did it this way, I just wanted to tell you that we still don't like multiple posting regardless.

What you can do in those cases, however, is make a new post, edit the old one into the new one and then delete the old one. That way the post shows up as new and it's still only one. It's a bit fussy, I know, but in defense of our policies, it isn't needed too often. ^^

WanderingWombat

I know, I know, I don't normally multi-post ( I also find it annoying ) but I was hoping extenuating circumstances in the form of the hugely funny comments I were making would exonerate me. Bummer.

Discovered game about 1 hour agao. Played until level 17 before the giants finally got me. Then I read Rai Rai's post and the FAQ. Currently on level 30 with a lil under 3 million points and 200 wizards, archers, and builders while my walls have 100,000Hp. Sadly enough the poor enemys got WAY too easy when they started giving us free demolition men. Once you get past that point you can probably play until the game become incompatable with current computer technology or they destroy the website.

Well, if you guys like those, you might want to try the Demonic Defense games. Basically a ripoff of DYC, but done with X-Gen's permission. Everything DYC has and more, and you won't hurt your wrist from the throwing motion.

And my god, that last sentence would sound really wrong out of context.

Here's some links I found by googling it.

Demonic Defense 3: http://www.flashplayer.com/games/demonicdefense3.html
Demonic Defense 4 (The latest one, I think): http://www.arcadetown.com/demonicdefense4/gameinfo.asp
