I'm only in late April, man.
...But I'm loving this. The little voice snippets add so much to the social link sequences and, despite direct control, I'm actually finding the battles more challenging than P3's.
I'm going basketball - drama route (Yumi is hot, and the other girl looks so young, she disturbs me) for social links and I'm deliberately avoiding strategy guides, so we'll see how well I do and what ending I get.

Oh quick heads up. The game has multiple endings and it isn't always clear what you need to do to get the true ending. It should be relatively obvious when you're at an ending affecting scene, but I don't want to give you too much info for spoiler reasons, obviously.

You haven't beaten Persona 4? Personally, I'd say Persona 4 because I've played all the way through it, and I consider it better. They worked out a lot of the battle kinks, you get real dungeons rather than differently designed areas of a single dungeon, and I think the story feels a lot more personal. Plus, you'll want to beat the game before Hiimdaisy spoils the whole story.

Of course, I haven't played The Answer yet for the same reason you're considering not playing it, so I'm not sure how it stacks up story wise.

So, I'm debating...Persona 4 next, or The Answer?
On the one hand, I really want to see how Persona 3's story ends.
On the other hand, I prefer the social links aspect over the dungeon-crawling in the Persona series, and The Answer seems 100% dedicated to the latter.
    Your thoughts?

I was in low eighties and didn't have any trouble until his final arcana, and by trouble I mean I had to use an actual strategy. I just really liked Ryoji and the little lines like "There was a time when I was called that. I did not mind it." really made it for me.

I think I would have enjoyed Nyx Avatar more if I hadn't leveled all my characters up to 99 beforehand, thus rendering the final boss laughably easy. (Seriously he changed arcanas every other time I hit him.)
I think what really sets this game apart is the voice acting. Some superb VAs really made the emotional resonance of the ending that much more engrossing and tragic. Aigis and Junpei's VAs were particularly stellar.

    *high five*
Nyx Avatar is seriously one of my favorite final bosses ever. I still need to beat The Answer, but that was an absolutely great game.

...So I finally beat Persona 3: FES.
That ending just caused me to shed some serious tears.

You gonna get Persona 1 for the PSP?

I'm pretty excited even if it doesn't have Social Links. I love me some Atlus and I really love me some Persona.
