I like how their complaints boil down to "of course it's directed at children; it's a cartoon," and "You're not allowed to use offensive humor to relay a message because we say so."

I think the thing that best encapsulates how much they didn't get it was when CNN quoted BET as saying that they "didn't want to preach or insult their viewers' intelligence," accompanied by the chicks with "BOOK" tattooed on their butts, implying that the image was an insult to the viewers' intelligence. Zing, CNN, except you have to be pretty dumb to see a chick waving her butt with "BOOK" written on it as anything but satire. Who's underestimating their audience more in this situation?
