God I feel like an idiot. What is a character concept. Like what do I want him to do

Okay. That's a big question. What I need from you is to know: what's your character concept. Everything has changed. The only constant is the rolling of a d20. Now the core mechanic is d20 plus half your level.

    EDIT:

Nope, not dumb at all! We've got to get you settled up with the race, because those come before classes.

Before that we've got to teach you the mechanics! And this won't work, because I type too much! Let's do PMs or threads instead!

No need for apologies. As said before, what Burlew wrote was irksome. Considering he is a good writer and relies on a fat joke.

Yeah, I really understand. It's just that I've been insulted so often and so repeatedly to my face and in so many round about ways that it's slowly starting to lose its effect - that and I mock myself enough that I usually find myself more mellow about stuff. That said, I've still got some rather sparky-spots - some things just really set me off. I'm sorry if I seemed to make light of your concerns - it's not what I meant. You were correct in presuming that I was just trying to lighten the mood: I like people generally happy and at peace! That said, I apologize if I seemed insensitive, as that was certainly not my goal. Since I'm rather hefty myself, I figured I could get away with it, but I hear your concerns and offer my sincere apologies. Also, my way too many words. I do that, y'know. Heh, I'd write more, but I'm being summoned away. Probably for the best. Thanks for talking to me!

Burlew is a great writer. The fact he had to resort to fat jokes is what is the most insulting.

I understand. That happens sometimes to me, too - things just don't sit quite right.
