So did you hear the gang at Konami is planning to make Metal Gear Rising a series?
Call me baffled, but I just can't see there being remotely enough content to support more than a single title. Unless they cop out and make the second Metal Gear Rising into an MGS4 sequel, and force Raiden back into the ninja costume for some ludicrous reason.
I'm just really hoping that Metal Gear Rising doesn't end with some stupid "cliffhanger" in which Sunny is in mortal peril and the game's like "WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SUNNY? WILL SHE SURVIVE?" Because if that's the case I'll be screaming "Yes of course she does, this isn't even a question!" at my television and my interest in the second game will dissipate.

...Also it's somewhat strange, but I'm actually looking more forward to seeing MGS3 in 3D than MGS: Rising. MGS3 ranks among my favorite Metal Gear experiences, and the timeline as of MGS4 doesn't really give Kojima a lot of leeway. (For example: Unless I completely misinterpreted the script, Raiden's introduction in MGS4 is the first Snake or Otacon had apparently seen of him since his MGS2 days, which strongly suggests that Snake and Otacon won't be making a return appearance.)

I dunno, I just suspect that for the sake of continuity, we won't be seeing many familiar faces in Rising -- no Colonel, no Meryl, no Ocelot, *probably* even no Rosemary. So who does appear? Who's the antagonist, even? Are we going to have more wacky encounters with the Patriot AI?

WHAT?!? That's it?!? No Metal Gear Rising fangasms? No statements of interest regarding 3D MGS3?!?
...No declarations of rabid love, even?!?
I am so, so very disappointed.

I've had a crazy amount of problems myself wrt the chatroom on AIM.

Ah, groovy. Yeah, sometimes these AIM problems linger for the longest time, and logging in and stuff effectively resets the counter, too :-P
