I've officially tried beer for the first time, and I don't think I like it very much. It's like bread, or oatmeal, or grits, only liquid and cold and with alcohol. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I tried hard apple cider first, I dunno.

edit: Also, it has this weird, unpleasant, almost metallic or black-olive-like smell and aftertaste. Which is a pity because I love me some black olives...just, y'know, not in my alcohol 'n' stuff.

I can tell that he's kind of smiling, but what does he know?

fakedit: I just found out that my favorite track off one of my most favoritest Flaming Lips albums ever was actually a collaboration between the Lips and MGMT which makes me like this band even more

So I went to get myself a late-night snack, in the form of a bowl of cereal. Out of our few choices, I figure the best choice I had was this store-brand extra-raisin raisin bran, so I poured myself a bowl and went off to eat it while doing my usual internet time-wasting.

Anyway! Almost immediately I notice there's something about it that tastes kind of...off. There's a distinct not-rightness about it, particularly in the raisins themselves. After a few bites I look down in the bowl and I see...about half a dozen dead ants, floating in the milk. Turns out they'd gotten into the whole box.

    I hate ants.

In re: the latest version of "We Are The World": My God, it's...full of Autotune.

Or maybe I'm wrong, and it was just cheaper to make robot versions of all those famous people than it was to actually ask them to participate.

I plan on checking out Classic Who once I'm finished with Season 4, assuming I don't take a short break from Who for a while. Really, really looking forward to season 5 of New Who, though.

Ten is a bit spastic and... odd, but I've grown to like him. Only complaint is a few too many pop culture references, but they aren't a constant. Martha's pretty great because she's actually competent and really useful. There's a two part episode that is almost more about her than the doctor, and that was cool. Season four is very ugh, which is a shame because after a couple episodes Donna Noble became my favorite companion so far. Still season four has a two part Moffat episode, and it is brilliant.

I'm also a pretty big fan of the New Who version of the Master, though I haven't seen the original version of him. The three parter he was in ended lame, but he was batshit insane in a really fun way.

EDIT: Man, no matter how many times I hear "EXTERMINATE!" it never ceases to be really damn creepy. Daleks are my favorite Who villains, even if the episodes they're in aren't always my favorite episodes.

So, I think you'd like season three of New Doctor Who. It's pretty great and there's no Rose. Plot to the Evolution of the Daleks episode got a little wonky, but other than that it was nice. I'd also recommend checking out the Moffat episodes from seasons two and four. Far better than the rest of the seasons they're in.

Watching Inferno at the moment. While you responded I looked for The War Games.

That ending was sad. Zoey </3
