By the way: The worst part was that while I said this line to my friend, I was imagining Yukiko saying the line (with perfect, memorized intonation!) in my head. And Yukiko isn't even one of my favorite characters.
How to tell I've played too much Persona 4 lately:
Friend: "So, how'd you like my performance?" (He plays guitar and I watched one of his new Youtube videos.)
Me: "In the infamous words of Yukiko Amagi, 'You're doing well!'"
Friend: "...What?"
Me: "..."
Yes it's officially reached a point where the characters' random proclamations in battles have become so thoroughly ingrained in my mind, that I'm apparently quoting them. (Granted, I've probably spent close to 100 hours total over the last two playthroughs in combat...)
He looks a bit too old to pass as a high school with the Fonzie look, but I do like it as a possible interpretation of Kanji in 2016.
There's also this gorgeous interpretation of Chie that keeps her hair short but has it parted so one of her eyes is covered. I understand why they didn't go that direction with her (Chie's supposed to be the 'plain Jane' character, despite the fact that she's really far more attractive than Rise or Yukiko.) But it's still awesome.
I really prefer the earlier versions of Rise's art, which makes her look virtually identical to Persona 4's awesome songstress.
Oh man I just received the Persona 4 artbook in the mail today and I'm reveling in how hysterically '50's Fonzie an early interpretation of Kanji looked.
Mr. NonCon: I must ask, prithee, might you consider granting me the ability to concoct a fictionalized version of your persona to include in my Let's Play?
P.S. If you want to cast the rest of your votes in the next couple hours to help break a virtual deadlock, that'd be cool, too.
