Ah I see One of my friends used to live in that same area with his dad until I found him an appartment not too far from my place. Are you more in-state in NY or in actual Manhattan? I went a couple years ago on tour with one of my bands, I wish I had had more time to visit that humongous city (although the subway is kinda meh compared to Montreal's fast moving subway lines...although some of the trains in New-York had air conditionning, which we still don't have here *shakes fist at the public transport system people*).

I know of Tremblent very well, used to go tubing there in the winter times with my school.

I've actually only lived in one town my whole life in Montreal: Cote-St-Luc. It's a residential town sandwiched between Hampstead and Montreal West (also where William Shatner lived as a kid). I lived there for 16 years until my family moved to New York.

Mirai Gen wants to pass along that he'd be interested in a Rainbow Dash beadsprite commission. =)
...Also I can't believe no one's posted here since the last time I did.

I attend Georgetown Law school in Washington, DC. It is extremely competitive, backbreaking, and requires a ludicrous work ethic. I keep reminding myself that I'm going through this hell in idealistic hopes of achieving my "dreams," though at this rate it feels more like I'm just enduring a neverending nightmare. But! That's law school for you.

A Top 40 cover band? So you play whatever constitutes the Top 40 hits on the current market? If so, I feel so terrible for you. Having to waste your talents on the likes of "California Girls" or "OMG" seems horrific, particularly when there's so many great classic jazz hits you could play through. The R&B Ensemble act sounds more my style. And you're going to tour Europe? That's inanely awesome.
At any rate, if you ever play in the District let me know; I'll definitely come to watch you play a few tunes.

(And you're from a ski resort town? I love to ski...been doing it since I was a young'un. Do you ski or snowboard?)

Oh, I no longer act: Forcing myself to attend law school quickly squelched those dreams. I was good enough to star in a few High School productions, because I can emote fairly well and assume the alternate personalities of characters with ease. College was more competitive and I didn't have as much spare time, so I slipped a bit into supporting roles in undergrad. My law school does have a drama club but 1L required me to spend every waking hour staring blankly at textbooks.

Do you enjoy life up in Canada? I've always wanted to visit the Great White North (and you'd think I would have, given I grew up not more than a four hour drive from the border) but I haven't had the opportunity. Have you played in any professional orchestra concerts or jazz ensembles up there? Any chance I'll hear your soothing sax solos on my iPod anytime soon?

The key to being a big league pitcher is the 3 R's: readiness, recuperation, and conditioning! You see, after the game, a lot of guys like to ice up their arm. Still, other fellas think that heat is the way to go. But I have discovered the secret, Henry: hot ice! That's right: hot ice. I heat up... the ice cubes! It's the best of both worlds!
