A while back, I told Teal I might join this game. Now that I have a semi-viable means of internet usage, that time has finally come. Thus:

Name: Kohana Akecheta

Gender: Male

Aura: Green. Just Green.

Age: 19

Appearance: Kohana has straight, long black hair, like most Native Americans. He wears a bandana that covers the top and sides of his head; the cloth is white and covered in various patterns. His skin is darkly tanned; this is very clear because he almost always refuses to wear a shirt. At best, he can be seen wearing a brown, western-style duster. He wears black, fingerless gloves on his hands, and his legs are covered in black, cloth pants. These, like his bandana, are covered in patterns, stylized in white ink. His feet, when he bothers to wear shoes, are protected by black sandals.
Kohana also has several tattoos. These are mostly comprised of similar patterns to the ones found on his bandana and pants, and cover his back, legs, and forearms.

Around his waist, there is always, -always- a very furry black belt.

Race: Non-human; Wolf-spirit’s Vessel

Abilities: Shirahadori – taught to Kohana by a wanderer who stumbled upon his village in the plains, the shirahadori is a Flash Action allows Kohana to nullify any attack he can fit his hands around. Not even nullify, really. More like... a catch. Just... a -really- fast one. That works on sharp things. Naturally, this sort of thing is impossible in anything more than a one-on-one fight, and is likewise impossible to do several times in rapid succession. It is also impossible for Kohana to disarm an opponent with the shirahadori.

Summon: Guardian Wolf (Pup)
User: Kohana Akecheta
Element: Black
Level: 1
An ability that summons Kohana's guardian Wolf Spirit, though because it relies on Kohana's spiritual power on this side, it can only manifest as a puppy. Like most summon animals, it's unusually tough and in good shape, but is still, well, a puppy. Not very threatening. It does, however, project a weak magic deadening shield, which can weaken supernatural abilities inside of its area of influence. Because Kohana doesn't have a grasp of how to control when the Puppy manifests, it's a Black Ability, for now.

Now You See Me – an ability granted to Kohana by his merger with the trickster wolf spirit. When active Kohana’s aura and scent are deaded, as are any sounds he makes. He is not invisible when using the technique, he’s just really really sneaky.

Now I see you…
User: Kohana Akecheta
Element: Blue
Level: 1
Because Now You See Me… wasn't very useful, this is a continuity shift of that ability. Through Shaman training, Kohana has obtained the ability to draw out the spirits possessing objects, people or locations, and force them into physical form. After that, he can, well, kick them – or something. Also works on items gifted with artificial intelligence, including AIs in Computers. Requires physical contact. Has a secondary effect of letting Kohana sense when a spirit is near; they make his tail bristle. He can also smell them.

Flash Step – when all else fails, run like hell away.

Background: Born into a small group of mystics, Kohana’s lived on a reservation in the Midwest all of his life. Despite what is governmentally “regulated,” he and a select few of his village manage to “poach” enough of the remaining bison population to keep their group fed and clothed without causing much disturbance.

More noticeable is the theft of petty goods and cash from nearby, non-Native American towns.

Upon reaching adulthood, Kohana, like all other good members of his group, submitted to going on a spiritual journey to discover the spirit that would guide his life. Instead, he found himself the vessel for the trickster spirit Abyssal Wolf. The physical manifestation of this merger of souls gave Kohana black wolf’s ears and a furry black tail, both of which he hides rather adeptly.

The merger also opened up a whole new world to Kohana; one he travels done at the behest of his village elder, who’s taught him most of what he knows. Now, Kohana is instructed to attend the Amaranth Institue for the Gigted in order to further develop his powers, and maybe cool his jets.
Kohana is a hand-to-hand fighter, learning to brawl in his dealing with the law and order in various towns around his home. He favors grappling and takedowns, though his legs are something to note, and his fists hurt as much as the next guy’s.

Clubs: Soccer Team
Kickboxing Club
Wrestling Team (Lightweight Division)

Notes: Kohana is a horrible flirt and womanizer. He also likes to drink and cause trouble, but he’s rumored to be very reliable when it comes down to it. Which could be a total lie.

Relationships: Sieglind Tressel – How exactly Kohana and Sieg no each other is no mystery. Sieg’s older sister Katherine ran a tavern/bar back near Kohana’s home reservation, which Kohana frequented. However, upon the news of Kohana’s moving to and attending Amaranth, the brother and sister packed up shop and set up a new place near the school, which Sieg now also attends. Sieg has the maddening power to know exactly when Kohana is up to something, and the even more annoying habit of telling someone, who then promptly intercepts Kohana.

Katherine Tressel – Katherine is Sieg’s older sister, and a crack shot with a rifle. Don’t ask Kohana how he met her, all you’ll get is a glare and a growl, and maybe worse depending on his mood.

Twitchy – A mysterious character from Kohana’s home, Twitchy keeps an eye on the boy to make sure he doesn’t cause too much trouble. He’s usually found watching birds, or acting like one. Covered head to foot with a wide brimmed hat, glasses, and a poncho, Twitchy is a sort of walking scarecrow that never fails to stop Kohana’s mischief before it starts.

Hie Coyote – Kohana’s cousin, and a fellow vessel. Hie likes to pick at her cousin whenever opportunity presents itself, and to date he’s never gotten the better of her. The two act like kids when they’re going at it, much to the chagrin of everyone around them. Outside of her dealing with Kohana, Hie is a pleasant person and is generally well-liked. She shares her cousin’s temper; do not ever bring this up.
