They're a nice thought, but the fact is that they're taken slightly less seriously than dryer lint by people in positions of power. Think about it -- how much attention would you pay to a petition with no real signatures and where John F. Schwartzenheimer's e-mail address is presented right next to HottSaiyanQT4U89's? Keep on signing them if you want -- just remember that physical letters get at least a little more notice and respect, and please don't clutter our forums with links to exercises in futility.
