So we are clear

What causes audio stuttering?
So playing some games and I notice I get some video stuttering, but far worse is audio stuttering. Basically its like choppy video, abit of split second of audio then a jump to where it would be if played normally and another split second of activity.
I figure its probably not the graphics card. I have a Radeon R9. But not sure what else could be the issue. My only guess is my motherboard or processor (AMD FX 6100). Maybe my RAM is abit low but last I checked 8gb is still good enough on windows 7
