Psst: SWB, the title's misspelled.

I had a hard time looking at Ratchet's design, because every time I see that image I keep on thinking his knees, elbows, wrists, and all other joints were horribly misshapen.

It looks like he's chicken walking, honestly. I do, however, approve of the overall design. "Alien machines from space", indeed.

While my geek bone wants a true-to-the-series TF movie, I honestly like seeing Brown's twist on the Transformers.

That was intentional, not a misspelling. The Beast Wars were indeed the best wars.

I also did it because nothing I was talking about had anything to do w/ Beast Wars, and I didn't want to confuse anybody. Since the last TF thread was called G2, I thought I'd carry on the tradition & call this one G3.

Get it? Got it? Good.

Bah! Season 3 had its moments, and was superior to season 1. Season 2 was certainly the high point, but season 3 was no slouch.

I do think that things fell apart in Beast Machines, but that has to do with a change in writing talent & plot direction.

And while I've yet to listen to it, here's a recent podcast that got to interview with Peter Cullen.

2 > 3 > 1, honestly.

Mostly because character interaction was still whole and awesome back in season 3, and in season 1 they didn't have nearly as much development. But, reguardless.

I'm noticing (With Prime as the exception) the facial anatomy of the Transformers is very...well, alien. More of the 'robots from space' I think.

So you'd prefer Optimus be nothing but a god modder (I think that's the term). I kinda like the fact that bigger doesn't always equal better, and Optimus found himself a bit of an easy target.

I admit, I think they made him break down way too easy, but maybe the changes G1 Optimus made weren't fully compatible.
