Where did your Name/Avatar come from?
I saw this in a another thread and thought it would be a cool topic.
I first created static hamster as part of an elaborate plan to create a black hole trash can (a fish bowl with a singularity inside it with a negligable mass) in high school. He just kind of grew up from there. He's a rodent with the ability to generate an electrical charge, exist within multiple temporal and spacial dimensions and so improbable that he can alter reality at will. The little guy has been with me for years, and will probably always be with me. Oh oh oh. And a friend I met on the net drew this representation of a static hamster for me. I will never be able to thank her enough. I wish I could have gotten the original to frame. How about your names/avatars?

My name came from the fact that I was the biggest otaku in my highschool and knew more abou anime than anyone else. And the avatar came from the fact I think the Einhänder is a unique ship unlike anything else in the shooter genre of video games(and it's my starship in my fanfiction). Although, it's what got me in trouble at BnG forums, but so-be-it.

I was just about to make this thread. Cool.
Anyway: Meister is German for master. Since I am German, I kinda wanted a German word as my name when the new forum was created... and that was the first that came to mind. Dunno why... I'm not patriotic or anything, it just seemed right at the time... I've had four avatars up to now: The first one was a Kung Fu-master (ah-ha!) sprite from Live A Live with a blue halo. The second was the famous Inept Ninja (a ninja lying flat on the ground, obviously having fallen from a rope shortly beforehand). Inept Ninja is my name on other forums, too... The third, up to fifty seconds ago, was Arseface from Preacher, a great comic that I never tire of plugging. Go read it already, you lazy sods. As for the current one, I've been in a kinda "dark" mood over the last few weeks; not depressed or anything negative, just... dunno. (If I weren't cynical ol' me, I'd say "embracing the beauty of darkness;" that would explain my custom title, too. )Anyway, I sure like wolves. And nighttime. |

My name? Well, I'm just really, really lazy when I'm not doing anything, so that's where the name came from.
My current avatar? I just think that the Grim Reaper/Death is one of the coolest things ever. Read my sig for another reason why I enjoy the Grim Reaper. |

I knew this thread would eventually show up! My original avatar was the one ring of sauron, then it became the guy with white hair then the guy with red hair and now this. I usually base them off an anti hero or villian from a movie or video game. My name however is also from a movie. In the movie The Unforgiven (its a really old western.) There was one crazy character that stood out in my mind. This crackpot old man who road around on a horse chasing this family from town to town who called himself The Spirit of Vengance. He eventually gets hung, nut everyone thinks hes lying but he is actually telling the truth about one of the main characters. The reason I picked him out was because he was hilariaous at the time, so my extremely serious name is actually after crackpot old many with a messed up eye that makes whats-her -face celebrity person (can't remember her name) seem normal.

My name is an attack of a main charactor of a comic called 8-bit theatre (probably never heard of it). It's misspelled because I was a n00b when I made it and can't change it without making a new name. That would put my post count to zero, and it's taken me a long time to get where I am. Plus, I didn't know that we could have spaces in our name (some email services won't let you) so I put an underscore.
EDIT: hey, I never noticed that the underscore blends with the underline under my name, so that's one thing I can stop wishing I could change.

My name came from a character in a RPG that I've been writing, same thing with the avatar. BTW- the character's name is Aidan, and he's a Ranger, for all the learning disabled on the boards...

Stabbitty, it doesn't blend. I can see the underscore.
As for my name, well, I hate making names. And my avatar is because the kittens are just so cute.

Loyal2NES, is more of a descriptitory (Hey, I make up words to suit the situation. Just go with it) name than one that needs to be described. As the name implies, I'm Loyal to Nintendo. The name and the reason support each other (SCORE!).
My 1st avatar was a pic of SMRPG Mario when he wins a battle. My 2nd was a pic of Super Metroid Samus (Standard suit) running... and running... My 3rd, and current, avatar, as you can see is a picture of Locke standing there (It was slightly edited using Paint Shop Pro, which explains the blurry texture). I also changed my intro thingy to what you see now, my favorite line stated by Locke. I would've made it the whole thing, "Call me treasure hunter, or I'll rip your lungs out!" but it wouldn't fit . EDIT: Hey, those ARE cute kittens!

Hmm, well I said this recently, but I might as well say it again. My screen name comes from the ultimate attack opf Lynx from Chrono Cross. The attack is cool, and the name sounds cool in my opinion, so I just make it my name in everything now except for the very rare case where the name is taken, then I use a variant of Forever Zero.
As for my avatar, I don't have one specific avatar. It has changed quite a few times since I've been on here. My current one is based on a VGCats based on Knights of the Old Republic. It had this good picture of HK-47, and I just decided to change it. I might change it to something else soon...
