Teen Titans = Good idea?

I just bought Teen Titans 'A Kid's Game'.

The thing that strikes me most about it, is that most if not all of these charecters do NOT have their own monthly title.

I rather like that.

I mean, do I like charecters like Imulse/kid flash, Superboy, Beast Boy? Absolutly. But I don't care to pick up each title involving them - its unnessecery. In recently compressed continuity, superboy has been around for, what, two, three years tops? The current wonder-girl for even less. A monthly flagship title like Batman or Superman I understand. But these are sidekicks, and their influence in the DCU is pretty minimal, it seems.

But I like the idea of this 'weekend' heroing. It makes sense (kind of... you know what I mean) for the age these heros are, and it lets me become aquitned with the charecters without digesting the unnessecery trivialities that come along with the month-by-month induvidual stories.

Thoughts?

If you like Teen Titans, go and pick up old issues of Young Justice. Much better quality IMO.
