Brian had better buy a generator
Seriously, what do you guys think of this year's hurricane season so far? Five named storms this early. The strongest storm to ever hit Florida's panhandle. Tropical storm Emily and depression #6 hovering in the Atlantic, slowly lurching towards Florida. How many named storms do you think we'll see this season and how many will turn major? [Edit] The picture won't load because PhotoBucket is performing scheduled maintainance. Whores. [Edit2] 'Tis back!

first of all...welcome back Bob
Secondly. I think were gonna have a really nice Hurricane Season this year for the Canes. We dont usually get this many Hurricanes by this time of year. Hell most of them come in August/September. As for Brian, I think hes pretty safe out there in Orlando. Sure the storms go RIGHT by there but when was the last time you heard of Disney World getting any Damage from a Hurricane other than closing due to the storm. And so far from all his updates about the Hurricane season, we have YET to see him tell us anything bad happening to his house from a storm...from what i read atleast. A generator might not be a bad idea for him if he wants to Update his comics from home in the middle of the storm for our (his loyal fans) sake of course

Is there reason to believe excessive hurricanation will become an annual tradition? Or has this kind of thing happened in the past and just come and goes?

Farmers in Missouri are glad that Dennis is coming, because there is a mild drought throughout parts of the Midwest. And we got our first good rain in a couple weeks just yesterday. So, while hurricanes might be bad to people along the coast, they're not always a bad thing.

And thanks, B_real. ^^ [Edit] Also, maybe he'll need a little more than a generator to continue updates during a state of emergency. If cable and phone lines go down along with power lines, he'll be completely out of communication.

Ya, I was working at Disney for all 4 of those great manifestations of nature's doomy grasp on humanity. I don't much trust meteorologists when it comes to predicting hurricanes. "This one is going to die out before it hits florida . . . OH SHIT it hit florida! Oh well, it will only be a class 2 . . . OH SHIT! It's a class:rips-your-socks-off-and-pisses-on-them-and-then-throws-them-back-at-you-at-a-hundred-thousand-miles-an-hour hurricane! But luckily it will miss Orlando . . . Next day . . . In other news: Orlando will be missed. Walt Disney World is just a sodden crater."
So, I don't trust them too much. Oh, by the way, Disney did get damaged, a few buildings had parts of roofs missing, and plenty of trees got ripped up, but other houses in the area had it far worse. And before last year Disney had only closed a maximum of once or twice, (maybe three times, maybe) EVER. Last year, it closed 4 times, what does that tell you? I'm not really worried about Brian, he knows how to handle this sort of stuff, but don't underestimate the power of nature.
